The service here is always awesome, friendly staff and it's always clean inside. We do love their cheese curds and burgers. My husband also likes their chicken and you cannot complain at all about their yummy shakes. My issue is the cod sandwich. I will take a Filet O Fish any day over their option here. The photo is also misleading; makes it look like a nice size bun and sandwich but what you actually get is half of that. There is zero flavor to this as well and the fact that tartar sauce is extra is a huge bummer. Anything cod related, tartar sauce should be a given. read more

Whenever we get curbside. Our order is not complete. When we called when we got home. We live 25 miles west of Topeka. We called when we got home and asked for a manager whoever answered just said "what do you want me to do". I should of said talk to your workers make sure they are getting orders right but after the comment they apparently didn't know how to do their job Went back today because I thought it was a one time thing but. The food was right but we ordered 2 chocolate shakes and they were hardly mixed. Told the young man who brought out that we didn't want the shakes unless they mix them more. He said that they were mixed right. I will include a picture of one of the shakes. Also we asked for straws for the shakes and he said we don't give out straws for shakes. I knew this was untrue because we have been getting shakes a couple times a week for 2 months and always had a straw. I think they don't need our business. We had 3 Butter burgers and and order of fries. Burgers were freshly made and delicious! Fries were hot and crispy. We loved the custard ice cream with chocolate and mint chips. The dining room was clean and nearly full of customers. Popular place with friendly people. The owner took our order and he made us feel welcomed. It's one of the better Culver's we have experienced. read more

Two different visits in two weeks. See below: Visit 2: Stopped in again (after the visit below) and they told us to pull ahead in the drive thru. With cars coming behind us we turned around the corner and waited. After 10 minutes we came inside only to find them waiting. Same as before. ZERO initiative for the staff to go out and find whose custard this is, as if someone would pay for custard and then just leave. Go up to every car that has a person inside outside and ASK. Won't come back to this Culver's again unless someone from the team reaches out. Visit 1: Stopped in recently with a niece and nephew to get some frozen custard (and cheese curds for myself). Unfortunately they delivered my curds to my table but not the custard and I had to go up after five minutes only to find them sitting homeless, on the counter. Visiting Topeka and we do not have Culver's where I live so I gave it a try. First the wait time in the drive through was over 10 minutes. That's really unacceptable in my book. The burger had a good taste, but I was expecting more. I wouldn't say it's anything bad but it also wasn't anything special. Onion rings were crispy but again, nothing special. Culver's is my one of my favorite fast food burger places- the food is always fresh - the fries are crinkle (my fave) and their custard is great! They never over apply toppings in a sundae and let the flavors shine. The only not so good thing I have had was a chicken cashew salad (not at this store) and they put more cashews than lettuce in the bowl. It was weird and I kept them for snacks later but kind of gross. Overall - always a winner read more

wife wanted a fish sandwich so we went to Culvers for their "limited time" Walleye fish sandwich. I had a burger. Fish sandwich was huge and dripping with grease. Took a portion of the fish and put it on a napkin and the grease soaked through it and the paper underneath AND still was extra greasy. I tasted it and the fish itself was tasteless while the breading imparted the grease. She will not order this again. My burger was mediocre, almost average. No reason to recommend it but edible. Dynamite double butter burger with all the standard trimmings- delicious! We also tried frozen customize-yourself frozen shakes and the blackberry was very good. I'm not a peppermint fan but my wife echoed the praise for hers. Simply stated, Culver's is speedy, delicious and scrupulously clean. My husband and I went here to get just a couple things of ice cream. It was a busy day, so we were willing to wait a little bit as we are understanding of how hectic it can get when it's rush hour. We really didn't mind. So we waited. Over 30 minutes to get 2 things of ice cream. By this point it was no longer busy. And several other cars had gotten their orders before us, long after we had ordered. We had to ask twice if our order was ready because no one had come to check to see why we hadn't gotten our order yet. When we finally got our order, one of our ice cream concretes was completely wrong. And they were both already half melted. So it wasn't as if someone had missed making the order. It was ready to go and no one had stopped to see why it hadn't been taken out. I had to drink most of my ice cream. By the time it was all done we were both pretty angry and upset. The only reason I gave a second star was because the food itself tasted good. I am understanding of when it is busy. And I really don't mind waiting. But when I am ignored and others are getting their orders before me, I tend to get a bit upset. The service when we went there was very mediocre. I went to Culver's Saturday night. I went through the drive through. I got two deluxe burgers, onion rings, fries, and a cup of vanilla custard. I got all the food through the window. I got a number and was told I would need to wait for the custard. I pulled over to the side. I waited over ten minutes...for custard!! I had to go in, and there it was waiting. Tonight was the 4th trip to the Topeka location and my 4th disappointment. The burgers are overcooked, the lettuce and onion old. We decided to check out Culver's in Topeka today and it was delicious. I don't know what compelled me to get the Mushroom Swiss Burger but it was amazing! My girlfriend got the Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich and she loved it too! The fish in the cod dinner was fried and not greasy. The Cole slaw was tasty & the fries were cooked through & hot. The only downside was the cold roll. That's always the way. This is a very narrow review of one outstanding menu item. I finally found a decent Reuben in Topeka at Culver's. It had real rye bread, not huge dry slabs of marble rye. The corned beef was tender and tasty. The sour kraut was excellent. The sauce was as it should be. These people know what an actual Reuben sandwich is. I was so impressed with their Reuben I think I will go back and try some of their other offerings. read more

We love Culver's fresh custard. We always have and always will! We stopped in for an afternoon snack (you know, one of those when you skip lunch just so you can have custard in the afternoon). The little guy and I had the flavor of the day - mint chocolate chip concreted with extra cookie dough. Wow! They delivered in the extra cookie dough! The little guy was SO happy! The hubs ordered a hot fudge sundae. When it was delivered it was missing the hot fudge. It was no worry though, they quickly remedied and added the hot fudge. read more

We really like the fish and shrimp at Culvers! The sauces and coleslaw taste wonderful and we get them all often. Staff are all really great and they get our orders right (which doesn't always happen at other drive throughs). Their burgers are also tasty and we love their root beer. The Culver's in Lawrence is great but today here in Topeka I got a lukewarm greasy smashed burger, a sad order of cold onion rings and a chocolate shake that.... Smells funny? Finally tried them tonight and the food was good but not great. Granted I took it home to eat so that added 12-15 minutes of hold time. Never order the Culvers Flavor of the Day concrete with the expectation what you receive will look anything like what they have pictured on their sign. My husband ordered 3 meals, a drink and 2 concrete custards. He was brought the food only.... they forgot the drink and concrete custards. More waiting and an I'm sorry. Got home and the flavor of the day was chocolate custard with carmel mixed in. No vanilla custard, no chocolate pieces and no toppings. I eat my food before it's cold and take it back. She tells me the order was put in wrong by the person taking the order and they will remake it. She brought me another chocolate custard with chocolate pieces in it. No vanilla custard and no toppings. When I told her this is not what was pictured the response was "we blend the vanilla and chocolate and then added the pieces." Really!?! I bet that doesn't happen at Sheridan's and that will be the only place I go to from now on. I will give everyone a shot to make it right but when you give me a half-assed made order a second time I am done with your company. For $50 I expect the order to look as pictured. read more

We are Colorado Culver's fans, but the poor ratings on this Topeka location almost had us driving to Lawrence instead...BUT don't let the reviews fool you. This Culver's was equally as fine as our Colorado locations. Good job Erickson Family! Glad we didn't drive 15 miles off i70 for another location. The staff was friendly and helpful, NOBODY was simply standing around as one review mentioned (as a matter of fact they were fast moving even in the hot summer heat and sun) and the food was fresh and delicious as we expect at a Culver's. 5-STARS! read more
