I would not recommend their repair department whatsoever. By this same logic I would not recommend purchasing appliances. Should you need a warranty repair it might be free but you will be seeing them every 30-40 days. I started getting work done on my Samsung refrigerator in May of this year. It is now September 2nd and my refrigerator is still making noises, not cooling below 50 degrees. This has now cause the ice machine to frost over and minimally work. I have spent $750 over the last several months trying to get my refrigerator up and working again. Of course I didn't realize that the temperature was not in the safe zone until after their 30 (42 days this time) day policy. So they wanted to charge me an additional $99 service fee to have them out again. Each time someone came out it was a new person so I believe that is 3-4 different service department representatives. The last guy scoffed at how the guy before him did a terrible job and wasted our money. The manager I spoke with had no remorse over the situation. Simply stated their 30 policy and let me know that they had already broken it once before went I needed repair after 39 days. Honestly, I understand that a portion of the $750 is parts but how about offering to refund the service fees as your staff clearly isn't capable of the repairs I was charged for. I would even have accepted an offer of a percentage off of a new refrigerator and kept my mouth shut. My family and friends in the past have always felt good supporting Sherman's as we wanted to put our dollars into a local company. We will now be shopping Lowe's or Best Buy instead of "shopping local". Sadly this is the kind of experience that every time someone brings up home appliances I will chime in with my story of a bad experience with Sherman's. read more

Professional, Courteous, Friendly, Respectful, Prompt, Wonderful! . If you need anything Sherman's sells, go for it. Their word is their bond! . On Saturday, July 11th I was doing my weekly laundry and my dryer broke down. I needed it so I would have clean clothes to wear to work on Monday. I needed a new dryer BEFORE Monday. I shopped online and found what I wanted at Sherman's appliance. It was priced very competitively and promised to delivery TO-MARROW. I placed my order, and received a call from Jessie to schedule a delivery time on Sunday. I mentioned to him I really wanted to go to church in the morning but I would wait for the delivery men. He told me he'd do whatever he could for me. . Sunday morning around 8am I received a call from Pierre, one of Sherman's deliver team. He said that he and his partner, Demauris, were on their way to deliver and install my new dryer first thing because Jessie had noted I wanted to go to church. They arrived shortly after and were all the things I mentioned at the beginning of this review. They did a great job and I was able to get to church. Believe me when I say I thanked God for Sherman's, their great employees, and the blessing of my new dryer. . Later that day, Jessie called me to see if everything was ok and if I needed anything else. Mr. Sherman, WOW!!! Thank you and your team for delivering what you promise. We purchased a microwave from Sherman's in December 2020 to replace an older model that stopped working. Needless to say, the new model didn't have the exact same measurements. However, the technician figured out a way to make it work. He had to go to a hardware store to purchase some items then came back later that evening to install the microwave. We were so impressed with the technician's professionalism and personal service, such that when our fridge stopped working in January 2020, we called Sherman's. The new fridge was delivered a month sooner than expected. After the fridge was installed, we realized that we had ordered the wrong model. When my husband explained that it was entirely our own error and needed a different model, the salesman/manager at Sherman's graciously agreed to take back the wrong model fridge at no cost and to place an order for another new fridge. The new and correct model fridge was delivered just a week later!! All three delivery teams were professional and helpful. When it comes to buying appliances, we are mostly interested in hassle free ordering, delivery, and installation. So far, Sherman's staff are batting 100%! Our refrigerator stopped working. On Monday morning I called Sherman's to have a service person come out to look at it. I received a call later that day; the Sherman's employee told me that someone would be out on Tuesday; they would call between 8 and 9 to let us know the 2-hour window. Sure enough, a very courteous service person came at 11:30 am. He diagnosed the problem (the refrigerator's condense had failed) and estimated the cost of ordering and installing a new condenser. Later in the day we checked out the available refrigerators at Sherman's Warehouse. The salesperson there was very friendly and helpful. When we didn't find what we needed, he checked with the Sherman main store and let us know that they had two fridges like we wanted in stock. At 6:30 pm we visited the main store, where a very helpful and knowledgeable person showed us exactly what we needed. The refrigerator will be delivered tomorrow morning, and they will take the old one away. What's not to love? Everyone we have worked with at Sherman's has been great. We will definitely shop there again! read more

Called to make apt for someone to come out and look at 6mo old fridge about weird noises it made when getting water and ice and an issue inside the ice compartment. They said that a representative would call to walk through a trouble shooting option and if that didn't work they would send the repair guy out. I missed the phone call while at work and ended up getting a different call asking to set an apt to come look at the fridge. The guy called day of, gave a time window which was 100% accurate with all of the needed parts to make the necessary repairs. Took about an hour and a week later, not another issue. Thank you for the excellent service! We will be back for some appliance upgrades to accompany the new house in the future based on their response and care thus far. read more

We just had two young men from Peoria install our new gas range today. Those men went way beyond the call of duty. The slide in range didn't fit in the vacated spot at first, but they figured out how to get it in. It was accomplished by one of the men flipping over into the open space with his head towards the floor and his feet straight up in the air. He had to do this astonishing feat at least four times before they got it in. Between all the hang ups and problems, it took them a good hour and a half to position the stove. Now it fits beautifully and looks great. Those two definitely get a gold star for their hard work. Never seen anyone work so hard to install an appliance. read more

We`ve been purchasing furniture & appliances for many years from Sherman`s have never had a problem. Just brought a freezer sat. had it delivered today Monday 4-25-16. The delivery people were really good & pleasant didn`t have a problem putting the freezer where we wanted. Called ahead of time they were running earlier than scheduled to see if they could come by earlier than scheduled. Also want to thank the saleslady Debbie H. she was very helpful. She usually works at the Normal Store but was helping out at the Peoria Store. Glad she was there that sat. We will definitely recommend Sherman`s every time. We ordered and received a custom sectional with a cuddler. Unfortunately the first time it was delivered they couldn't get it threw our doorway. Contacted the store and with their good customer service and confidence they could get it in on a second try I set up a second delivery day. The guys that showed up the second time assured me they could get it in with no damage. They absolutely delivered and got the sectional in and assembled in probably 40 minutes. Extremely happy with our choice and the quality of it. Thanks Ron for keeping me calm as I was ready to flip out. Again can't thank the delivery guys enough for saving my Sunday! read more

When our drier broke down on Dec 30th my first thought was how quickly can I get a new one? We have a large family and I can't imagine having to wait a week or 10 days for my drier. We called several stores in Peoria and they all said a week to 10 days, except one who might get it to us the next day if it was in stock and we went there before 2.30pm. Sherman's guaranteed to deliver the next day. We went in on Dec 31st. There were a couple of brands I was thinking of. They had plenty to choose from and at a sale price. They delivered my drier on New Year's Day by 1pm. That is incredible service! read more

I am very satisfied with doing business with Sherman's. I recommend to others when they need to purchase an item to go to Sherman's because they will be happy that they did. When I purchased my refrigerator in April, the salesman found it at a lower price at another place and that is the amount that I purchased it for. The ice maker was not working properly and another one was installed within a few days. Recently bought a beautiful recliner and am very pleased. My ice maker quite in my 2 year old refrigerator. I sent a request for service. They ordered the parts & scheduled my repair within a week. Alex called me with my 2 hour window & then called me when he was 20 minutes away so that I didn't have to miss any more time at work than necessary. I really appreciated the extra effort! My ice maker was basically rebuilt & because I purchased Sherman's extended warranty I didn't have to pay anything for the service call or the repair. Money well spent! read more

We have always had great service when we come into the store. If we had to call the service department which we have once or twice, the response was professional and very quick. Sherman's sells quality TV's and appliances! Very competitively priced! Just bought my 2nd Samsung 4K TV (giving my smaller one to daughter). Delivery personnel are very nice and professional!
