Paid for delivery and installation of a washer and dryer set. The delivery drivers were extremely rude and ignored the delivery instructions. Then as I was calling Sherman's, the drivers unloaded the machines WITHOUT PROTECTION onto a gravel driveway and left. I was told they'd refund the delivery and installation fee, but I could either move it myself or let it sit outside in the elements until they could schedule another delivery team in a couple days. Go anywhere else. This place didn't even try to make it right, and that's after spending like $6-7k in the last two weeks at their store. Ordered a new $3200 mattress and was told they would take the old one away. Waited around for 4 hours for the delivery drivers. When I got notice they were on their way, I brought the old mattress outside and put on my porch to make it easier and faster for them. They wouldn't take the old mattress because it was outside and it could have bugs. I refused the new mattress and now I don't have a mattress to sleep on until I get one from somewhere else. read more

Bought a 3 thousand $ TV with a 3 year warranty, then when it stopped working less than a year later, they told me they dont sell electronics anymore so the warranty was now void...even though it was paid for. I absolutely would not recommend Sherman's in Peru. The actual purchase went very smoothly with the measurements I had. However, after that it's been an absolute nightmare. I was told it would take max 30 days to be delivered, then happened to mention later the fine print was actually a 4-6 week max. They mentioned it was my fault for not reading this and said that nothing could be done. I understand I probably should have read this, but an accurate depiction of the delivery time would have been appreciated. The ottoman I ordered wasn't ready yet, so they were holding up the whole order. One person I talked to said they could do 2 deliveries for free and the other person I talked to said they would ship the ottoman for free and I could bring it up myself. It got delivered this morning and the delivery people didn't even try to bring it up my stairs. I called in to see what in the world was going on, but the whole entire time the blame was put on me that I didn't measure correctly or accurately explain my entryway. I believe the correct response would have been maybe there was a miscommunication on either side but this is how we're going to fix it. Every person I've talked to has refused to take responsibility and has the worst customer service with a furniture store I've ever worked with. I was asked to come back in to find a different piece of furniture that will come up my stairs, but I am hesitant to buy anything from these people out of fear this will happen all over again. Overall, I would give this place 2 stars because of the wonderful customer service I had in store but after that has been a complete nightmare. I would suggest going to anywhere else solely because of the horrible customer service. The furniture is wonderful quality, but this no longer matters to me because of this experience. read more

First time We have shopped at Sherman's, and we were pleased. Austin J. was very helpful and knowledgeable of the products, if he didn't know the answer he took the time to investigate it; not feeding a line of BS. There was no pressure Austin was down to earth and understanding that everyone has different budgets. We purchased our laundry machine and dishwasher today and will be looking to revisit for our next upcoming purchases. read more

This place is garbage. The pre owned cars aren't taken care of, and if you take your car in for service good luck on getting a rental even though it says it's in the warranty. I will never buy from Sherman again. read more

Dana & the entire sales team were fabulous. I love my bed & living room set. The customer service team, sales team & down to the delivery was class act service. A couple of snags but they made sure I was totally happy. I am infact going to spread the word. Will definately shop here again. Not many businesses keep their word these days. Extremely disappointed with Sherman's quality and service. We bought a microwave that lasted just over a year (just out of warranty) and quit working. They wanted to charge more money to fix it than it was worth. We later bought an expensive washing machine, it too lasted just over a year (again, just past warranty) and quit. When I called Sherman's service department, they told me I needed to speak with a GE service rep who would then diagnose it over the phone (at a cost of $99.99)... and then I would need call Sherman's back with the diagnosis from GE to schedule a service call with an additional parts and labor fee. Poor quality products with poor service. We're done buying form Sherman's. read more

If you expect to get a straight answer about delivery, go elsewhere. I have purchased appliances two times from Sherman's. Both times was told that the delivery would be in one to wo weeks. After five weeks I cancelled both purchases. When I asked why I wasn't told about the delivery adjustments they just said delivery schedule problems. Customer Service is awful to non-existing. My 5-year-old $3330.78 induction range needed repair in early February. After two months and three service calls, on April 5th, the repairman told me is was not repairable and that I should expect a call from his Service Manager to arrange for a replacement. On April 13th, I was told that Caroline was working with the manufacturer to arrange for a replacement, but was in a meeting and would call back in a few minutes. On April 19th, I was again told that she was in a meeting, that she was being emailed and would call back in a few minutes. I called back 3 hours later and was told that she was out of the office but would be emailed. They were warned that if she brushed me off this time, I would make it my life's work to let others know that Sherman's works very hard to sell you something. But if you have warranty problems they work just as hard to avoid really helping you. Service Manager "Caroline's" job appears to be to not do her job. read more

I'm tired of getting absolutely no customer service from this place. Ordered a love seat before Christmas, was supposed to take 4-6 weeks... and we were supposed to get weekly updates. We still have no love seat, no idea when or if it will ever show up. Covid or not, maybe just one single person there could do their job and follow up with customers. We will never shop there again. Spent a lot of money here on multiple different houses in the last year got a delivery today that Was supposed to be delivery and installation and they just dropped it on the driveway and left saying it's an extra $80 for in home delivery. Very disappointed in the service have over $2000 worth of appliances on the driveway and no way to get them all inside now. read more

I purchased a new KitchenAid dishwasher for my Ottawa Illinois home. The Shermans installer guy, Jacob, came and installed it today. Not only did he arrive early. Did an awesome job. Super nice guy, awesome at his job, and his customer service was outstanding. Over all experience was 5 star!!! read more

Much of their advertising is about how you can't find a lower price anywhere, and if you do...they will match it. Then, I was told on the phone they would price match online sites as long as they are "Authorized Dealers." When I called back after confirming with the manufacturer that the online dealer is "Authorized," I was told they wouldn't match that price, as it is below their cost. While i understand this reasoning, isn't that false advertising??? Otherwise pretty friendly & seem knowledgeable, but didn't care enough about actually getting this sale from me, which probably would have led to several others...entertainment credenza, audio set up for new tv, etc. read more

We have made 3 major purchases from this store in the last 2 years. 2 years ago, we purchased a complete bedroom set, a couple months ago, we purchased a new mattress set, and just now we purchased all of our appliances for a complete kitchen remodel. All 3 times we were greeted by friendly helpful employees who went out of their way to help us, answer questions and earn our business without being pushy. Delivery was next day for the bedroom set and mattress. We purchased our appliances over a month before the kitchen was ready and they held them for us without any problems until we were ready to have them delivered. Delivery is scheduled for tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited! read more

First, last and only time I will ever do business with this place. I ordered a stove on Sunday, told me it was going to be in on Thursday. Salesman called on Wednesday said they could deliver on Saturday for delivery and install. I waited for over 3 hours and never got a call to set up a window to deliver on Saturday, I had to call them!! They over booked as it was bigger than a normal size stove [36 inch wide] said they were sorry but they need to use a special delivery team and next available time was Thursday, so I took it. If I would have been told all of this when we ordered it I would have understood. The deliverey team was great! They delivered the stove and I asked them not to install, as I didn't have time to wait since I had to take off work to be there for this delivery. The left doesn't know what the right is doing at this place or they just don't care as long as they get your business. Either way I will never do business there again. read more

We love the commercials that Paul does - he comes across as a down to earth person, your neighbor perhaps, not a scammy business owner. Love how he says "we'll have it in your home to-mor-row" That was one of the main reasons for choosing Sherman's when we needed a refrigerator. You can wait awhile for almost any other appliance but the refrigerator we needed to-mor-row and we had it! No pressure from the sales staff, although I knew what I wanted when I walked in. I was content with the price but they automatically check other big stores and price match - saved us a few more dollars. The sales associate was very pleasant as were the other employees at the check out area and all helping each other to facilitate the process. After it was delivered we noticed a minor flaw and opted to receive compensation rather than return the refrigerator. The money was in our account within a few days. Sherman's will be the place I go to again when I'm in need of a new appliance. read more
