Well I would call bs on the negative reviews here. We are new to Sherrill, and were given several suggestions for pizza. Tried them and were not impressed. We ordered from NY pizza and it has been the best we have found in town. Just enough crisp on crust. Fresh mushrooms, not canned, great cheese and the crust had the perfect yeast flavor.Mind you the price is a little higher then we are use to , but that seems typical for all pizza places in town. read more

I knew I would like this place before I walked in. They had one of those old school signs that might be 50 years old. Walked in and was greeted by multiple friendly employees. The inside is just the old school look and familiar feel. It was lunch and they had a bunch of flavors of pie ready. I was lucky enough to have a fresh plain cheese come out of the oven. Sauce was good and a little sweet. It was a little floppy but not enough to ruin it. If I lived in this area, this would be my regular spot. read more

We got two slices and a gluten free pizza. The attitude of the worker was HORRIBLE. The GF pizza wasn't bad, had one of the better crusts in the area the sauce was a little bland but over all pretty good. The slices were ICE COLD. Pizza is not bad. Prices are steep though. $18 for a large pepperoni. Wings are pretty good size and their sauce is good.

Sold pizza at an affordable price. I was in and out very fast. If you go there get the garlic knots they're good and cheap. I went there and got a slice of pizza and Stromboli. Their pizza had a sweet sauce to it. I should've ordered an entire pie! read more

My family used to order from here every Friday night for pizza night, back when the old owner Frank was still around. I'm visiting my parents for a while and thought I'd take a trip back to nostalgia because I remembered loving this pizza. I ordered a small pizza with a bunch of toppings for my dad (who believes "the more toppings the better") and a large with pepperoni for the rest of us. I also included a few sides like a sausage pizza roll and a pepperoni roll as well. The rolls were exactly how I remember them: Delicious and a great treat. They brought me back to when I'd randomly stop by and Frank would give me one, then sit down and chat with me for a while. Good times. The pepperoni pizza was okay. Nothing to write home about; I could probably make better at home but if I didn't feel like going through the trouble this would be okay. The small pizza though was much too doughy and because it was so thick with dough it wasn't cooked through all the way; the middle was literally raw. It was nice to get a little taste of nostalgia in the pizza rolls. I'll gladly stop by if I'm on a walk and buy one or two for lunch. The rest I'll leave in my memory and let them just be a part of my childhood. read more

Was excellent a few years ago then went downhill. Now it's back to great product and service. I ordered Large & 20 wing special. On my way home they called and said they gave me BBQ instead of medium. Told me 20 wings were dropped, they would be delivered free, and to keep the BBQ wings. Didn't even accept a tip. Amazing!!! There is no other description! If you want great pizza(I highly recommend the chicken wing), subs, wraps, etc... you have to come here!! We spent the weekend at Turning Stone for a bachelorette party and wanted to grab lunch before our 2hr drive home Sunday. We heard through friends of friends this was the place-they were right. Nine of us showed up right when they opened- we were a bit riled up from the weekend, but the owner and his staff were nothing more than friendly and fun! Small local place mostly doing carry-out, but with several tables if you want to eat in. No beer or wine but a selection of bottled and canned drinks. The pizza here is New York style with thick crust. Although I am usually a fan of thinner crusts, this was flavorful and worked well. Generous toppings and good quality ingredients made for a good pie. The 14 inch was too much for my wife and I to finish fresh so we took a quarter of it along when we left. We had that cold for lunch on the road the next day and it was still great, maybe even better because the hardened cheese held all the goodies together. read more
