Even as I was trying to figure out what to get, I could hear her helping the next customer with his own home item question. Looking around the store, there is probably something you will need in there not now, but maybe in the future. When the time comes, a friendly staff member will likely be there to help you navigate the shelves and find it. We have come here on other occasions for paint and screws. True Value is conveniently located in a street with many well loved businesses in Dupont Circle. Maybe get dinner with a side of hardware store? I wasn't treated like a stupid lady and he was very helpful. You don't get that at Home Depot - in fact you get the opposite. HD employees don't make eye contact with you so you don't stop and ask them anything.
