I stopped in to pick up two paint samples I ordered online - the store was busy, I waited - it emptied out - I continue to wait as several people behind the counter were there serving people. After 25 minutes of waiting, the store began to get busy again as two service humans were serving two customers from the same company at the same time. After listening to the four of them go over a variety of details, I ventured to ask "Miles" if I could pick up my paint - already paid for - because I had been waiting neary 1/2 an hour. His response was dismissive enough ("We've been busy. Those men were here before you.") we will toss the samples I bought and start over with another store for the project we are just beginning. I can't imagine having to avoid Miles for the next year - which is all I would want to do. If you are a guy, I am sure you will LOVE Miles. He seems to be very ready to help the men he knew, along with the man who was already helping them. But a stranger? An older woman he has never seen? He didn't seem as interested. Personally, I would say, "Go anywhere else." It's a disappointment. I had shopped Sherwin Williams as a contractor for years. Maybe even before Miles was born. Regardless, he had no reason to be as dismissive as he was considering how long I waited with patience. My professional house painters 2 years ago used Sherwin Williams paint. I've had them back twice for peeling AND twice because the original color applied darked considerably, so when they touched up with new cans of left over paint the color did not match. Despite S W's lifetime warranty, they will not correct the problem with matching paint for the steps. They did give one free can when I brought back two new cans to correct house mismatch. read more

I would rate this place a zero if I could. I walked in at 8:45 am and yes although I understand they may be a little busy, it was only myself and 1 other person in the store, but to keep a customer standing there for 15 minutes without any acknowledgement, not even to say I'll be right with you is ridiculous. Our HOA is a tricky one. First 'they' decide our fence needs staining and then 'they' decide our two choices of colors HAD to come from Sherwin Williams. No doubt someone is getting a kickback here. Anyway, we just happen to come in while they are having their 30% off deal the last weekend in July which saved us a bundle. I found an additional $10 off coupon on their website which surely helped. We waited for about 10 minutes to get service and no one really said much to us beforehand but once we got rolling it was a pretty painless experience. The guy we worked with (his name eludes me at the moment) was very helpful but actually bad mouthed the company right in front us. He made no excuses when I said "that's not something a customer wants to be hearing". We had the work on our fence professionally done so assuming it was done to the SW standards we shouldn't have to go through this process again for another 5 yrs or so. read more

I went to Sherwin-Williams to get house paint and was told that they "couldn't sell paint samples to customers right now because of the raw materials shortage." They directed me to go to Lowes to purchase paint. There's nothing posted on their website about a material shortage. Also 3 other stores we've gone to this week sold us paint samples, so I'm not sure why this is an issue for SW. Anyways this is a paint store that doesn't sell paint. read more

Went to SW today to get a quart of paint . The lady (manager) of the Everett Mall Way store did not ask me what kind of paint I wanted . When she sat the paint on the counter I told her I wanted it in The Pro Classic . She informed me it was " a final sale". I asked her if I could get it mixed in the Pro classic and she said she could charge me again for it?? Stay clear of this particular store, they clearly don't care if you leave a happy customer. read more

I am not pleased. I went in to buy some paint that had been recommended by my decorator. There was one customer in the store and one clerk. I waited for almost 10 minutes to even be acknowledged before I finally just gave up and walked out. It doesn't take much to make eye contact and say "I'll be right with you" or something to that effect. Instead it was like we were invisible. To top it off, the parking was tricky and the prices were very high. Instead I went to Home Depot and had them color match the paint at half the price and was out of there and done in less time if took for the SW clerk to ignore me. read more

Horrendous customer service. Wanted some paint color like a house down the road they'd done, so I dropped by with the address. Fellow said I needed more information, told me what to get and then said call ahead next time. I got info, called ahead, was told no, I should come in. It was quite a while to get waited on and another long wait to get the paint. Then I ordered some samples of other colors. They didn't have an ingredient, so they took my order and said they'd call me. Ten days later, they've not called, so I call and they can't find the order, so I say I'll go elsewhere. An hour later, some one else phones and says my paints have been in 'Will call' for quite a while and why haven't I been to pick them up? 'Maybe 'cause no one phoned me like they said they would?' I was tempted to not get them and let the store 'eat' the price of the paints. But since I was driving by that day anyway and it would save me a wait at another store, I went to pick them up. A smart merchant would have given me a deep, deep discount for misplacing my order--no such luck at SW. The counter fellow didn't really apologize, just blamed it on 'lousy part-timers'. Such attitude indicates general poor management and not a company I want to use. P.S. they jack their normal prices are so high, that any 'deals' they give you barely get you to the same price as Home Depot, which has just as good paint. read more

I had a GREAT experience with these guys... I had some leftover paint in my garage from some work a contractor had done a few years ago. It was Sherwin Williams paint, in a 5 gallon container that was about 1/4 full. I used that up and then needed more paint. Paint that matched this paint. I took a photo of the label and also the mixing info (this paint was tinted a bit). I took photos of this to the Everett Mall SW store, showed them the label and the mixing info and they set me up with primer and a new gallon of paint mixed to what the 5 gal can label said. Everybody there was courteous and helpful. Great. So, I spent the day putting the primer on. That went fine. Then I went to put on the new paint that they mixed for me. Something was off and it didn't match the previously-used contractor paint. The new paint was too yellow. I notice right away and quite frankly my color vision stinks. So the next day, I took the can of paint back to SW. I went back because I was just going to get a can of plain white paint and just move ahead with a different color and repaint everything I'd done. UGHG! I figured the contractor must've reused his original bucket or something with another paint and I just THOUGHT it was what they used on my walls. I thought I'd made a mistake. Once I got to Sherwin Williams, I explained all this and showed the guy the photos of my labels. The employee, was a very polite guy at the counter and when I was waiting for him to just say "here's some white paint, now go away" he actually said "Wait a minute. This is OUR error. The reason these don't match is that the original can and tint formula was for a 5 gallon drum. It should've been modified a bit for 1 gallon cans. This is our mistake". So he mixed me 2 cans of paint AND DIDN'T CHARGE ME. When I went to pay, he said "No, we're square" and showed me the new paint tint compared to the old. They were quite different and the new paint matched perfectly. So the only thing I was out was my time to drive to the store and an extra can of paint was added for my trouble. It's rare to see young employees that actually will check their work and make things right. The guy that originally mixed the paint (incorrectly) was also very nice and helpful, he just made a mistake - and the store remedied that. I will buy all of my paint from these guys and I would recommend them to anybody because of their great service. read more
