I drove it in his shop and had to push it back on my trailer. He told me to not start it because engine would race. He apologized multiple times why he couldn't fix it. After being to America Power equipment in Waterford it costed me over $1100 dollars to repair all the things Mike tried to fix and totally messed it up. Do not bring your lawnmower to this man because he had no clue what he is doing. My invoice from American power explains how negligence he was working on my mower and how he cost me $1100 to get it repaired due to him trying to fix it and had no clue what he was doing. But I will recommend to go there early for you to avoid long lines and that time the place is not so crowded. Be careful! It seems…read morethat this Ace (in particular) and other Ace stores in general like to indulge in price swapping and misleading prices. The price of many 'non-Ace brand' items are displayed lower than the actual price on the sales floor, only to be rung up 'higher' at the regular (higher) price at the register. If you purchased an item at the artificially lowered price you saw on the display, you would most certainly be surprised to find it rings out at a much higher price at the register. Most of the time, the higher price IS the actual price on the website, but not always. In any case, that's actually not the point. The point is that an artificially lowered price lures you into making a purchase you might not have normally made. The usual excuse from the store manager is that there was a 'pricing error', but it happens ALL THE TIME at this store (Waukegan, Genesee & Grand). For big-ticket items, you may want to snap a photo of the price with your phone for later reference at the register, and save your receipt. Better yet, skip all the hassle and just shop at another, more reputable store, or Amazon. Oh, and if you are a minority individual, they will follow you (clumsily and quite obviously) no matter how long you may have shopped at the store. Let the buyer beware.
