The store in La Grange could use a few more hands on deck as the line was long with only one (super nice and helpful) guy handling everything on his own. Professional painters were ordering supplies while amateurs like myself were asking for color-matching and new colors. Sherwin Williams paint is a good paint. It's a bit pricey for everyday painting but, I'm repainting the entire interior of my home, so I'm willing to pay more for the paint and the advice.

I used to drive to St. Matthews to get my PP, so I'm super happy to know about this location. It is a very nice well stocked store with competitive prices. They are conveniently located out on the new Commerce Parkway. They have a full range of services from Hardware, Lumber, Paint and a Design Center. They even have a Design Team that can help you plan you projects. I had been looking for wooden stakes for my recently planted tomato plants. This was the only place near la Grange I could find that had them in stock. The staff, especially Brian, is very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. I look forward to being a regular customer here.

The store's owner, Sandra, is so approachable, and you can tell she's passionate about this. Alas, I have not yet had a need for their building products. But I have purchased several of the gift items they have in the store -- another reason to check it out! Honest Home carries this fun line of cards with cut-out birds to be used in mobiles. It also has kits to build your own toys, and for Christmas, I particularly admired the ornaments and wood veneer Christmas tree garland. The store gets the veneer scraps from manufacturers, and it would have otherwise been thrown out. Honest Home brings its green mission to Christmas trees as well. And for home products, I've noticed that they carry recycled rugs, compost bins, flooring and countertops, lighting, cleaning products and paint. I am hoping to buy a home soon, so I'm looking forward to getting some green supplies to make over my new home. I'm holding out on the fifth star until then. The condition of the prior stain was really bad - highly weathered and uneven. Plus a dog had scratch parts of the door and prior painters splattered stain on the fixtures and frame. Kelly, the painter, spent a several days sanding to remove imperfections, meticulously staining, and restoring the door. He took great care to make sure the work area was clean, hardware installed properly, and that we were happy with the final job. All in all, it was a great job at a reasonable price

They also left my trash cans full instead of hauling it away with the rest, and my garden hose was left out in my yard instead of being rolled back up like it was found.
