SPENCER IS THE BEST. I want him to be everywhere I shop, be my coworker, and be my friend!! He is literally the sweetest and most helpful person, I can't believe how great this painting experience was thanks to him. He gave my husband and me a step by step guide on how to paint cabinets and gave a solid paint recommendation for our living room when the paint we wanted was exterior only, all while helping three other people and receiving phone calls. Had such a great experience picking out paint for our house with Spencer from Sherman Williams. He walked us through all the details and steps, educating us on the different grades of paint, and helped us pick the perfect color for our home makeover. He truly went the extra mile to work with my wife and I and answered all our questions. We also were able to take advantage of the 40% off special they had in February, so it was a much better deal than Dunn Edward's paint. My in-store experience at this Sherwin-Willams has been fantastic - we were there 4 times in the last month either looking for colors, getting samples or picking up the paint we decided to go with. Originally, when we purchased our home a few years ago, our contractor had us to go Dunn Edwards for our paint, the service was never great - I prefer to support a business that actually cares about their customer satisfaction and I felt at home when I visited this location of Sherwin-Williams. We had heard good things about the paint from Sherwin-Williams, they have great quality and wonderful colors. We happened to notice they were having a presidents day sale which was fantastic - 40% off, it was a no brainer. But at the end of the day, for someone like me, I care more about how I'm treated in store then the cost of the product itself. We were lucky enough to meet Spencer who obviously knew a lot of paint, not just as a sales person but as someone who painted for a living. His recommendations were highly appreciated and I hope they know how lucky they are to have such a great team running this location. For any future painting needs, it will always be this brand for us. Thank you for helping to make a tough experience (choosing the right color) so much easier on us. Anything to do with home renovation is so stressful, it's nice we found a place that made one checklist item so much easier on us. read more

My first project trying to use a Sherwin Williams store, and I will not be back. I found a color online that I wanted to swatch on my walls, ordered a quart through the website, and received an email confirmation that it was ready for pickup. When I went into the store, the clerk said he couldn't find any record of my order. He looked in back and couldn't find anything. Luckily I had the email confirmation, so I brought it up. "Ok, give me three minutes to mix it ". 20 minutes and several customers later, my quart of sample paint was ready. Not great, but things happen. I swatched the paint at home and decided I wanted to go ahead with it. I called the store to order 2 gallons. I asked about pricing per gallon and the person at the store said I had two options. I said I would take whichever one was cheapest (I'm a renter, so don't want to invest crazy money into the project). The employee quoted me $150 for 2 gallons of their cheapest paint. I double checked to make sure he hadn't misspoken, but he confirmed and said they had a sale that could bring it down to $130. It was more than I wanted to spend, but I wanted the right paint for the job. I told him I wanted to purchase the 2 gallons and I would pick it up the next day. He said they would have it ready. I went back to the store the next day to pickup. I gave my name and phone number, and the clerk couldn't find any trace of my order in the system. He looked in the back, and couldn't find any paint ready for me. I gave him the order number from my first online order to see if it was nested with that account. After pressing a bunch of keys on the keyboard, he acted as though he had found my order in the system and suddenly acted as if he knew about my order. "Oh yes I remember this order, you wanted 2 gallons of the blue right?" "Yes. So is it mixed and ready?" "No". Why bother doing anything ahead if they look at you like you're crazy every time you go in? So I took the paint swatch, went to Lowes down the street, color matched, and spent $80 for 2 gallons of paint (a savings of $70). Moral of the story is the paint colors are good, but this business has some kinks to work out. read more

What a complete waste of time. Staff completely unhelpful, full of excuses and all too busy on their phones to acknowledge me when I came in (I was the only customer). Apparently there is a paint shortage and they sent me to Lowe's for help -- but Lowe's sent me to them. If you want a sample color, best of luck getting it. read more

No joking, this is The Frazee Paint Comedy Club. Hysterical and jovial staff with great energy. A special shout out to the host of the day, Jeff Pennill. They all turned my attitude around the moment I stepped inside. Why wouldn't anybody and everybody use a paint that Home Depot carries? The Frazee brand is proprietary, only can be purchased at a Frazee store, and they carry, basically, paint and related supplies -- not tools, or moving boxes, or the plethora of other things you can get at a full hardware store. When I was forced to buy the same brand of paint that was used (and dictated) by the owner of the building, seriously, this what I had to pile onto my already busy schedule and go to the closest location out of my way? Just another trip, drive, time wasted, during the moving-in process. To boot, Frazee stores have limited hours, closed Sundays, and just a scattered few locations. But Jeff and staff were super friendly. They insisted on ensuring if I needed anything else with my purchase. Normally, this upsell is annoying, but not here. Hysterical funny stuff, made me laugh so much, and I ended up buying a handful of very helpful items that I actually needed...but hadn't looked around enough with my tunnel-vision purchase of 1 can of paint. I left with a smile, the can, and when I started to touch-up paint my new place...I realized it's a quality product, too. read more

I have the sniffles and stayed home today from work in an effort to curb them so they don't into a full-blown head cold. With that said, I'm also a Virgo...and we are by nature, organized and anal. lol So I woke up at, ahem, 12:15 this afternoon (thanks Sudafed PM for giving my 11.75 hours of sleep and curse you for not curing my sniffles) and found that my dining room was still only one quarter painted. So I thought, hell, I'll throw on my "I'm a Fuckin Genius" shirt, my paint-stained jammie pants, and stick my hair up on my head courtesy of my army green scrunchie...and get to work on completing my masterpiece of four, lovely painted walls. Might as well get SOMEthing done while stuck at home. Yeah, not so much. About half-way through wall #1 I found that my "edge trimmer" painty gadget was in fact, not creating a straight line due to overzealous use. lol "Indian River" was slowly and methodically beginning to bleed onto my now, unhappy, art-deco molding. DAMN!!! So down I came from the latter, tossed on some Crocs (you know, to really complete my Britney Spears look) and out the door I went to garner a new supply of edge trimmer refills. I recalled that Frazee Paint was on the corner, not to far from my pad, and decided to give them a try...being as they were so close and I was dressed so, well, you know. I pulled up...actually, I drove in the wrong entrance...going in the wrong direction. lol So I was forced to kind of back up into a space like I'd planned it all along. Sneaky me. FYI...the "In" arrow is on the driveway closest to La Cienega so y'all don't make the same, stupid mistake. The interior of the store is large, clean, and well-organized...I give them that...which made it rather simple for me to find the roller, edge trimmer, refill section. TA DA!!!! Yeah, again, not so much. While Frazee DOES have a colossal selection of paint, they seem to lack in trimming tools. Nope, not ONE of those damn little $3 plastic doo-hickies with the wheels on the side to prevent paint from hitting my trim. Grrrr. I thought to my self, self, perhaps you just aren't seeing the aforementioned trim tool...ok, I didn't say aforementioned to myself, it was a tad more profane than that. lol So I sought out someone to assist me with my plight. This is where Frazee loses another point...ONE GUY. Yes...ONE...in a store the size of, well I don't know what size exactly, but big enough to beg for at least three helpers. It would be like going into a cell phone store and seeing ONE employee. Ick. So not cool, especially to a "fuckin genius" with sniffles. And that one guy was apparently helping a gaggle of women there to pick out shade of blue for a baby's room. Gag me. A gaggle. So alas, I had to leave Frazee with no tool in hand to complete my Virgo-ian task at home. But don't fret...I drove my little congested butt (head was congested, butt was fine. I promise) to a certain larger home store where I did indeed find my edge trimmer...and my dining room is now clad in "Indian River" & "Buckhorn." At least one of us is now well dressed. lol read more

The company really has a gem with an employee like him. He's the type you hate to see go. High Energy, Knowledgeable, and patient. GREAT work ethic all in all. Ok! Let me eat those words of praise. Turns out that Danny did NOT do me a solid by hooking me up with the right paint for my needs. Yes, he got me a really good deal, but I more than made up for that deal in labor costs because of the extra time needed to apply the number of coats required to make this paint look right on my walls and trim (SIX). I have a very experienced paint crew and they were baffled at the way that this went on "like water." I watched it come straight out of the bucket and go onto the wall like this myself. I overheard my guys talking to each other and saying "he must have sold her this awful paint for the commission." When I inevitably came up short (because of all the coats) and went back to purchase more paint, I was told that Danny was on some kind of leave, and furthermore the man who helped me said he definitely wouldn't have recommended the paint formulation I was using for trim and cabinetry. It was a hard sell I got from Danny the first time around, too. He was very convinced that this was the absolute best for me and that I would be so happy with how it turned out.  Well, I'm happy with my painters' work, but I'm definitely not happy with Sherwin Williams' product or service. A job that by all accounts should have taken four days stretched to eight and cost way more than I'd budgeted. So...I guess if you're going here, be vigilant and do your own independent research about the type of paint you need. Don't rely on them to 'help' you choose the paint for the job. read more

Came here today for the first time . I have very little experience in painting, I've painting my apartments in the past and it's always turned out to be a messy. I came here to pick out colors for my bathroom and get painting supplies. The guy working there ( forgot his name ) was really helpful! I told him I wasn't sure what I needed and how much of it I needed regarding tool and paint. He asked me what my project was and how big my bathroom was, I should him liguées and he made an assessment and help me get what I needed. He then was kind enough to help me bring my stuff to my car. I go to this Sherwin Williams location pretty often. It's convenient from where I live however most importantly because their service is incredible. They are very knowledgeable about the product and the service is very attentive and fast. Especially the manager Ken provides top notch professional services and never failed to my satisfations. I called just before 8:30 am on a Saturday and they answered "Dunn Edwards" but good news is they're already open and stay open til 6 on a Saturday.
