Guys quoted me a price then called back and said it was gonna be $2,000 more. I told them to stop and I would get it towed. They said I owed the $900 for labor. I dropped my husbands car off on Thursday to have a transmission leak looked at and they informed me that I'd have to leave it here because they were understaffed due to covid-19. No big deal. My husband and I are both out of a job so we didn't need two cars. A day goes by then another then another. I don't hear anything from them till Monday morning through a phone call saying they found the leak it would be $300 and there were a few other things wrong with the vehicle as well that would total to $1,300 I told them "wow ok well just do the leak for now" I go to pick up my car later that day and the man gives me a total of $1,300. I inform him no I just had a leak fixed and he said no you agreed to have all of this fixed. Instantly I'm crying making a fool out of myself because I don't have that kind of money considering my husband and I are both out of work. He says "I can call the owner and see what he can do if you leave it here an extra day" so I left it there an extra day. They call the next morning and tell me we can bring it down to $900 but we can't give you the car without it and we can't cut into the labor of our workers. They have NO PHONE RECORDINGS. No proof of anything. And the owner Jim Reap refuses to bring down the cost even though there was a communication error and no proof of who said what. They would not honor their coupon. After presenting the coupon, it was examined as if it had never been seen before. I showed the coupon was valid for $100 off transmission work. Showed it was for shift right in Queen Creek. I was then told that the value of the coupon was already factored in the price. Why wasn't that mentioned when I specifically asked if there were any discounts or coupons? Why wasn't it mentioned 2 weeks ago when I received my original quote & explained my financial concerns? Why wasn't it mentioned when I brought in my truck yesterday and was asked what my original quote was again? Why wasn't it on the invoice? I was told there wasn't a way to get the coupon. I asked that someone if higher authority be contacted. After the owner was called, I was told again that the coupon had been factored into the price already. Once they realized the absurdity this, I was then told the coupon had to be presented at the time of service, not after. There's nothing on the coupon that would substantiate that. Due to recent events I have been let go. Due to a history in health care I decided to search for a new job farther from my home at a hospital. My wife took the car in to get a checkup while I was beginning the hiring process, when she received a call from the manager she was given two options 300 dollars for the essentials or 1400 for the works she informed them that we only needed the essentials and we were told it would be a few days due to short staffing. When she went to pick up the vehicle they informed her that they had gone ahead and done the works and that it would be 1400 dollars, apparently they do not record phone calls (which they do make binding monetary contracts over) and they refused the keys to the vehicle until the monetary demands were met. She called me crying to inform me that they had not listened to her and we would be having to pay nearly four times what they had told us. I am livid. The manager told my wife to leave because her crying was upsetting other customers and I called to ask why they were charging 1400 when the agreed upon amount was 300. The manager told me he was not to blame and that due to lack of communication, (communication that I was in the car for. Driving while it was being had and yes the amount was most definitely 300) he was not able to pull off any money on labor and could only pull it down to 900 which is three times what it should've been. I am disgusted. If you have binding monetary contract through your phones you need to keep a recording. My vehicle has been at their Mesa location for over 8 months now and it is still there! I have been waiting and getting the worst runaround from them for months! I brought it in for a tranny rebuild- and had picked it up- then brought it back because one of the solenoids was giving us issues- even though I paid for a solenoid pack. They fixed that then sent it home and it broke down on the freeway home! I paid to tow it home- had them come pick it up from my house and now have been waiting for a new valve body (they had the part and I approved the labor back October!) ... I called today (2/5/14) and am giving them 2 weeks to find the part and start work otherwise I am going to have to take them to court. Sad to see it come this far down. read more

We took our truck in because it was leaking oil . We thought that it was the rear main seal, well it turned out that it was the oil pan that needed to be tightened. The guys at the shop were so honest they told us the truth and only charged us for 1/2 hours worth of work. I highly Recommend this shop. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!!!!! They don't rebuild the transmission. They replace some parts. The car will not make the 12,000 mile warranty. I paid 1900 and the car didn't last more than 2 months. I took my vehicle there because I had a transmission code. I left my code scanner in the truck while they did a deep diagnostic on it plus drive to test and plus pulled the pan. After discovering metal in the transmission they said I need a new transmission which is about 4K. I decided I would give them the job but when I got home somebody from the shop took my code scanner. I will definitely not go back there if people are going through my vehicle and taking my belongings. When I questioned shift right for it after I calm down the manager told me I must've been confused. I brought my 2002 Explorer in to these guys and had AAA tow it there. They took my information down so I did not have to drive all the way down there with the tow truck an called me when my truck got there. They were the most reasonably priced shop in town. I went down the next day to meet them because I felt better to meet the people working on my truck vs just letting a stranger work on it. When my dad and I got there we found Jim who is the owner and talked to him for awhile he is a down to earth everyday guy who cares about people and has owned shops in California and Hawaii too. While we were talking he informed us that the mechanic was tearing down my transmission and invited us to go talk to him and look at the parts. The mechanic was down to earth also and very detail oriented. I actually got to physically see and touch the parts that were broken to verify that it needed to be replaced. The hard parts on the transmission were extra and that's one thing that broke he worked with me on the price and helped me to stay somewhat in my budget. The best part is that he gives you a 12month 12,0000mile warranty but you can also buy additional years of a warranty for $100 a year which was nice. I got my car back and it drove better than when we bought it in January. I would reccomend him to anyone one thing that he said to me that stood out is "we live in the town and see people at the store and I want those people who I have fixed their cars to come up an thank me instead of point a finger at me and saying that's the guy that ripped us off". read more

Took our truck in to have tranny fixed, and was quoted $1900 with in 24hours, got a call saying it was going to cost $4800 dollars.... talked my hubby into all kinds of upgraded parts that weren't needed....all because we pull a 40ft toy hauler. ..all so they could make a few extra dollars.... so we agreed upon it, was told it would be 7 days, 2 weeks later, with NO phone calls, we took a drive to check on the truck, gave us some sob story that they were putting it all back together, and it would be ready in 2 days, well the time came to pick up the truck, and we were told oh yea your starter is bad, and it will cost this much, needless to say I was already highly upset, went down there, and drove away in the truck, and not even 30 min out of there driveway we break down, back to the shop it goes. by this time we are going on 3 weeks. we were assured it would be ready in time for our trip. well trip came and truck still was not ready....... picked our truck up 5 different times, and it still wasn't correct.... never were we told I'm sorry for all this, or even any money back. not only was I out $4800 dollars, they had our truck for over 3 months, and still wasn't fixed.....they messed our truck up so bad, that we had to get rid of it, they messed our starter up, our AC up, broke parts on our truck then tried blaming it on my son who just had surgery and couldn't lift more than 5lbs......
