I have been going to the same hair salon and get my hair cut by the same stylist for probably over 10 years. But ever since the COVID started taking over our normal lives, businesses were forced to close during the shutdown. When it was time for business to start opening back up slowly, many business were not able to come back and had no choice to shut down permanently. Unfortunately, this happened to the place where my stylists used to work. But luckily he was able to find a new salon where can work and he contacted me when he found out when can start working again, which is what led me to this place. I have not been to this place before but I felt very comfortable and safe coming in. They have very detailed and strict guidelines to ensure everyone's safety. For example, customers had to call in from their cars upon arrival so they can make sure there's plenty of room for social distancing. We had to use hand santizer sanitizer when we walk through the front door. We all have to wear masks the entire time during the visits. In addition to the safety rules, the place looked very clean and organize. The beauty chairs are positioned so customers will not be breathing to each other because the wall mirrors are placed between each chair. Touchless payment method is used so you can pay directly to your stlist and you dont have to wait and pay at the front desk. This location might be a little out of the way from my house, but I dont mind driving a little further so I can still support local businesses. read more

Made an appointment online and went in for the appointment later that week. Walked in no one said hi or if I needed help. Eventually someone came up to me and told him I had an appointment. He said with who? Told him the name and said he doesn't work there anymore. I had an appointment for that salon regardless. Why didn't they call to notify he wasn't there or set me up with someone else? Also don't even try calling. They don't answer their phone. Hair Stylist Yolanda Marlow is a phenomenal professional and human being. The tones she achieves in my colored and highlighted hair are so beautiful that rarely a day goes by when someone doesn't ask where I get my hair done. Unfortunately, I no longer reside in South Florida, but whenever I am in town, I make a point of reaching out to her. Recently she was able to color- correct another stylist's poor job, squeezing me at the last minute so that I could be presentable for an important meeting. Beautiful place. The first thing I noticed it was really clean and organized. Lana was so sweet. She made sure I was comfortable and she did a great job. I did a Brazilian wax and a full leg wax (my first time). I was freaking out because I haven't done it in a while and never did the full leg wax. Of course it hurt but it could've been a lot worse and she made sure I was comfortable and kept reassuring me when she was moving on to the next step. She's a perfectionist and i loved that because everywhere is hairless and smooth as a baby. She is definitely worth going out of my way to visit again. I highly recommend her. read more

If I could do zero stars, I would. Their business hours say they're open until 7, and I walked in at 4:30. Only two people were in there. One woman doing another woman's nails. I asked if they would do a wash, trim, style. One woman said to the other in Spanish "Do you think you can?" And the other said "I don't want to." Then she says back to me in English. "Not today." Lana has been doing my eyebrows for over a year and I just started bringing my mom in because I love her so much. My mom has MS and has to come in her wheelchair and Lana is so gentle, accommodating, and good with my mom and her limitations, plus my mom is beyond pleased with the way her eyebrows look. Walked in 2 different times no one greeted me or spoke to me, seems like a high tent district makes me wonder how they pay their rent

My friend & I have been to 2 other brazilian wax areas. This is our third wax (3rd groupon location) never would I thought that her wax didn't hurt. It was quick & painless. Powder is applied prior to waxing. She uses the fan to cool down after she wax that area. Uses a tweezer to prevent ingrown & not a single hair. Apply Aloe Vera gel on afterwards - very refreshing. Lol feel like I can jump it or jogging in my heels (lol that's how awesome I felt afterwards). Gave resourceful information oh how to prevent/get rid of ingrown (highly educated & professional). It has been almost 2weeks no itchy, no ingrown, or little patches of hair- I forgot I even got a wax!!! Very pleased with this service, calming atmosphere, location match the area, even though we had a groupon we were treated with respect & we will definitely be her new regulars!!! Will definitely come back every month & take advantage of that brazilian & leg wax. If these stars can go to infinity & beyond I would choose that for Shimi Day Spa. read more
