I have been looking for a new nail salon in Plantation and since I was already in the shopping center I thought I'd run in to Venetian and check prices and see about making an appointment for later that afternoon. There were several friendly women at the desk and I asked about getting a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. I also wanted an extra coat for protection. They made a point to look at my nails first to check out what I had on. I was quoted $45 for the gel manicure, & $5 for the extra strengthening coat, plus $35 for a pedicure. I made an appointment and arrived on time a few hours later. They have numerous stations and the decor is very nice. All the technicians were wearing black. I was introduced to Jenny and told to choose a polish color. Jenny led me to her station so she could remove my previous gel polish. While the gel was soaking off, she moved me to a pedicure chair. There were big screen TVs around and she brought me a bottle of water. The water in the tub started out cold., but after it warmed up I received an amazing pedicure! The polish looked great and my feet and legs were rubbed with lotion and then wrapped in a warm towel . (The massage chair was nice too!) When I finished it was $80 as quoted and my fingers and toes look great! I think I may have found my new nail salon in Plantation! read more

My nail tech is Paige, I would recommend her to anyone looking into getting their nails done. Paige's vibe and personality is everything you can want and look for, she is personable, engaging, has amazing communication. What a disappointment. Brusque Front desk staff acted like they were doing me a huge favor, even to make eye contact. Then when I explained what I wanted, the manicurist convinced me to go with a different process which she said would save money. OK fine. Then I showed her a photo of exactly what I wanted the polish to look like and she didn't even come close. Which one of then she did it way to short, I asked her to fix it and she did it but no to my liking, that same thumb the acrylic powder was not properly remove from the bottom which i noticed and asked to please make it less visible which she tried but ended up cutting me and I said ok becausei was done. Some of my fingernails you could see there is no polish around it , is okay to leave a small gap but on some of them is more than a small gap. I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received today. Before going to the salon, I called to ask for the price of regular acrylic nails with gel polish, and I was told the cost would be $65. However, when it was time to pay, I was informed that the total was $75, claiming that the technician took extra time filing the nails that he himself had done. I consider this additional charge unjustified, as filing the nails properly is part of the technician's job to ensure the nails look good. read more

I was pretty happy with my service today. I visited Venetian Nail Spa with my sister. We both had mani-pedis and they came out pretty good. I called the same day to make an appointment and they were able to schedule me with no problem. When I arrived I was shocked at how huge the place is inside. It was a Friday afternoon so not too packed, but considering it was still a weekday the place had plenty of clients. We both did gel polish which is typically my go to since it normally lasts longer. My only complaint was that after I left, I noticed that my nails could have used one more coat, but I was already out the door and didn't have the time to go back to fix it. The staff was also very friendly and I would probably return since this is right by my house. Update! Not even 3 days later my polish has chipped in several places and I have not worked with my hands or done anything that would cause this. Even when I'm super active and using my hands a lot, gel usually lasts me almost 2 weeks and often times more. I might just start driving out my way to come here. Because I no longer like the one close to my house. I did a walk-in with my mom and they were able to fit us in rather quickly on a Friday afternoon. I'm all about treating myself, so I got the deluxe pedicure that came with the paraffin wax. And a complementary glass of wine. My time was spent with the person by the name of Lisa, whom did a great job. I didn't feel like she was rushing. She polished my whole toenail, without me, having to say something, because some of them be moving so quick that they miss the sides. My only issue was she did spill half of the bag that had the wax for my left foot on the floor. And still went forth with putting my foot in that bag, so the wax barely covered the top of my foot. But my feet still came out super soft. And I would still go with Lisa again. read more

I needed to get a mani & pedi before the holiday and the reviews seemed good. I called in advance to see if they were taking walk-in and they were. I showed up and was quickly served. I find that a lot of nail salons have lost the art of the basics: mani & pedi. There are still some of us out there that just want the basics. I must say the location was a little tricky to find and parking is hard in the shared parking lot. Inside is beautiful with the decor, chairs and overall aesthetic. I started with a requested pedicure and manicure. The first staff (Sandy) did an amazing job and very neat work. The second staff (Linh) for my finger nails just did what she wanted. I picked out the color I wanted only for her to show up with a different color trying to convince me that it's the same color. At this point I am annoyed because why ask me to pick a color if they will just do what they want. I would return to work with other technicians like Sandy. read more

My husband was at the dentist in the plaza next door and I looked at my hands and realized I had been neglecting myself. I haven't been to Venetian in quite some time as you can see by my review 9 years ago - not because I didn't like it there, but I had followed the nail tech from Venetian to another place. I was surprised when the person at the desk still had my information on file. I asked for pink & white. She told me that she didn't have anyone available for that as limited people do it. I said that was fine and I told her I would do a full set with gel polish. A few minutes later she came to let me know that Tina would be able to do my pink & white. I was appreciative as I was a walk in and understood about not doing it. The salon was clean and all of the techs were wearing masks. I like this place to get my nails done. It's nicely decorated and since they expanded, there are lots of chairs. If you plan to go on a weekend, make sure to have an appointment or you'll end up waiting for a long time or not getting in at all. They use clean tools wrapped in a package for every client. The pedicure tubs are lined with throw away liners. I usually get the pedicure with the paraffin. It is supposed to include a 10 minute leg/foot massage, but on my last few visits, I didn't get that. My toes turned out nice. I got a gel manicure and the tech Didn't cover my nails completely:( Prior to covid, there was a glass of wine or a bottle of water offered with this pedicure. I went to the nail salon today and I had a nail tech and I made it very clear with her what I wanted. I said these nails are for my wedding photos. I want a white French tip with flowers. Then halfway through the nail set, she decides to offer me stickers instead of the painted on flowers and when I say no she tells me she can't do flowers....regardless of the fact that a professional nail tech should know how to do basic flowers on a nail, why would you accept the customer and only halfway through tell her you can't do what you said you could do. I have always had a good experience coming in to do my nails but today sadly I was given different level of customer service that wasn't acceptable for the price. Having an attitude and no customer service skills is not relaxing. Kayla started my pedicure and filed the dip off my nails while she was doing my pedicure with my feet soaking for over 20 mins in cold water with polish dust floating in it she was rushing as she is drilling the dip off of my nails im leaned forward in an uncomfortable position, in the chair meant for pedicures. Usually you sit first and add alcohol and aluminum foil to your hands to let then soak whether it's gel acrylic or dip and then you walk over to add warm or hot water and begging servicing a pedicure while your hands are soaking that's a service done properly. while she was drilling the dip off of my nails my back was hurting from leaning over and I asked if we could remove them first and then start pedicure and she simply said it takes too long to soak off" over fifteen minutes" I don't understand why you are in a rush as a professional when I have come here to relax and have my nails done. It was such a disappointment she was doing two things at once to benefit her time while psychically straining my back while my feet were soaking in Luke warm water. I truly have never written a bad review anywhere but her rushing made the experience truly horrible I watched another client in front of me get the correct treatment with time and care getting the gloves and foil placed on first sitting upright not while she was bent over with her feet in cold water. I truly never want to return it saddens me she treated me like she was in a competition who can be the fastest. Even tossing aluminum foil crumpled up in between my legs into the bowl where your feet go for the pedicure and clipping my nails so fast on my hands she was pinching me and when I kindly said sorry I feel a pinch she said no very rudely I didn't pinch you as she's cutting my nails as fast as I've ever seen it was just horrible I could go on and on. The first time I came for a mani pedi my experience was so bad, in fact the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon (with a guy I don't remember his name) but it scarred me so I haven't been back. It's been over a year so I went again yesterday and asked for a female because I didn't want to chance getting him again. The lady who did my pedicure was rushing and not focused on what she was doing. She started snipping my cuticles on my toes and it was so painful I asked her to stop. She kept going and my toe started to literally bleed. Now the next day when I look at my pedicure, even the paint job looks like crap and I'm just praying I don't get an infection. This review is for Lynn only. I have been to Lynn three times Total. on the last two times She had an incredibly rude attitude. Also, the last two times the top gelcoat which you have to pay an extra five dollars for wears off within a week. I asked to see the nail swatches on a fake nail and she complained and gave me attitude saying I can't do that, and I asked what was the big deal? I don't know what has happened in the last few years, but every single time I get my nails done they chip and break within days. I have gone back and asked for them to fix it and they have said no because it has been more than the amount of days they can fix it within for free. My god this is the worst manicure I've ever recieved. I've never written a negative review on Yelp, but I can't help but feel this place truly deserves one. Get ready for an essay. Let me start by saying this place is expensive & incredibly OVERRATED. The first time I came here, I wasn't super impressed with the gel that they did, but I came here again because it's walking distance from my apartment. I paid $40 for the "healthy nails" manicure & it came out very thick & cheap looking. The guy doing my nails cut my pinky finger & had to redo to the top coat of my other pinky THREE TIMES because he kept touching it to see if it was dry. Pictures don't even do this polish justice. I'm a server at a restaurant - people are looking at my hands all day. I'm not sure how a nail tech is satsified with this job. I didn't even bother asking to fix it because I just wanted to get out of that twilight zone of a salon. If you want a quality salon, Toi Spa is amazing. I want to start off by saying I really do not like to write bad reviews. So I gave this place many different tries, before writing this. I've had acrylic fills with gel nail polish done at this location about 5 times now. When I am with the nail tech, the service is good, they are friendly, approachable and fast. The issues I have with this place are, 1) the front desk is NOT friendly at all. It doesn't matter how many "thank yous," or "smiles" you give them, they will not even give you a half smile. I always feel like I'm doing them a favor by giving them my business. I don't like feeling that way as a consumer, with so many other options around. The last time I was there, a gentleman that seems to be some type of manager, was walking around eyeing all the nail techs as if they were running a factory. My nail tech quickly finished my nails, cashed me out, and took another customer, before I was out the door. 2) Every time I go there my nails chip, almost immediately after I get them done. The last time it was 4 days, and this time it was 2 days! I pay an average of $45 for my nails when I'm there and I shouldn't have to deal with this. I am a mom of a 4 year old so I never have the time during the week to go back and have them redo my chipped nail. So I walk around with chipped nails constantly because I don't have the time to go back and frankly do not want to deal with them. It is ashamed but she is killing your business by making customers feel like they are trying to get a free polish change. How petty does she thing we are. I had my nails done Monday afternoon by Tuesday night a couple of them were lifting. Went in Wednesday afternoon just to be in interrogated by this person as as if I was trying to get a free color change. They repolished two on my fingers and two of my toes. My new go-to place for pedicures. It is a little less than Contour Day Spa nearby. They have a lot of technicians working at once so even without an appointment it will not be any longer than a 15 minute wait. My only gripe last time was that I wanted to add paraffin to the pedi and they would not charge for it separately. I had to get a pricier pedi if I wanted it. At Countour you can add it a la carte. All my pedis have been very good here. Most importantly, everything seems to be very clean which is important in these kinds of places. The place decor is a little kitschy with a mediterranean feel. Think venetian faux walls and stone columns. New age type music plays on the background. There are a couple of TVs usually playing HGTV or on cooking channels. It is on mute but with subtitles. If you check in on Yelp and you purchase $42.00 worth of services they add a glass of wine. Everyone was very nice and welcoming! Definitely service with a smile here. read more
