The waxing process, I was there for my back. They use vegan ingredients for the waxing which I really like, pain scale was less than traditional waxing. I would say traditional waxing for me is a 8 outta 10 whereas this was 6.5 outta 10. McKenna was very thorough throughout the entire process. No sticky residue post wax which is common from other places. I really like the eucalyptus warm towels post wax to smooth the back, nice touch. Place was charming and clean. This was just what I needed, last two studios have been disappointing. Last place major breakout post waxing and other place gave the worst attitude. I've had a membership for almost 10 years. It's been a while since my last visit. I walked in today…read moreand gave the sales associate my phone number. My account details were in the system. She told me I needed to pay $5 for eye covers so I ran my credit card. When I got my receipt, I was charged $70!!! I asked what the charge was for and she said the walk in fee and the eye covers. I told her that I've had a membership for a long time and even showed my bank statements with the reoccurring monthly charges. She was adamant that I didn't have a membership. I asked for her to refund me the $70, and she couldn't because her manager wasn't available. Had she told me the price before charging my credit card, I wouldn't have swiped my card. I was angry and frustrated so I called the original store where I opened my membership. They said it was still active so I went back in and had her look it up by my name and sure enough the membership was still active. Unfortunately, she ran the time on my bed while I having this debate so I couldn't even tan today and have to wait another 24 hours to come back. Meanwhile, I was still charged $70 and still couldn't tan. I don't know who hires people here but I think they need a little more training before they allow them to run the store by themselves. This was the worst customer experience I've ever had. Very displeased and still haven't resolved getting my money back. Not sure if I ever want to return to this location.
