Ok I have a black mini-van which hadn't been washed OR waxed in probably 2 years (or more)! It was BAD... I was over near Solana Beach and needed a good wash & detail without breaking the "mini-van bank".... I have mixed feelings about my experience here. For starters Cody was so kind and worked with me on when I could drop off my car. He was very accommodating and I was super grateful for that. Another plus was that the exterior of my car looked awesome! We had gotten back from some muddy salty off-roading over the weekend and they did a great job getting off what I imagine was some pretty gnarly mud. I have no doubt that they spent a long time trying to get the undercarriage clean. Ultimately this was my biggest concern as salt of course is the enemy of metal so I was very happy with that side of things. My only complaint is that it seemed as though they were just not very thorough with the inside. Parts of the doors were clearly not even wiped down. The seats still had some mud and water spots on them. When I brought this to Cody's attention he did wipe down the doors where I showed him there was still mud and explained that sometimes those fabric seats hold stains and need more work. I took his word for it, but when I got home and attempted to clean these spots myself they came off with very minimal effort which lead me to question if they actually shampooed the seats all all or simply spot cleaned what they noticed and didn't notice everything. I realize I'm being picky here, but I would hope for the price being almost $100 over every other place I called that their standards and attention would be higher as well. Best car detail and wash my car has ever had ! Cody was extremely professional friendly and efficient ! I live in Arizona and car wash and detailing is terrible . I paid 20.00 for my wash and they didn't miss a spot , Cody even picked in the fact that I had to drive back to Arizona and put a free bug resistant spray in front . AWESOME job ! thank you ! I feel like I got the ultimate birthday present -- a new car! My husband brought my 13-year-old BMW to Cody's "beauty shop" and when we picked it up, I gasped. It looked fantastic! The shiny, waxed exterior with a decade of scratches smoothed out and then the inside, all the leather restored and brand new... Cody and his crew did a wonderful job. These guys are by far the best value in car detailing in San Diego. I did a lot of shopping around and for what most places are charging $200 plus for, Cody and the guys come TO ME, completed for under 100, and in excellent detail. Yves did an amazing job on my black car! It had a ton of small marks on it from 90k of driving. Had my 2007 Volvo detailed (after it was shipped from Chicago) and it was in rough shape. Had contacted several mobile detailers who were quoting about twice what Cody charged. Volvo was washed, buffed, waxed, all windows are now crystal clear. VERY pleased - nice people, easy to work with... and the beach is about 800 feet away (great place to hang out while the car was in process). Great service! I stopped here in the afternoon to wash my car with the self wash Halfway through my wash stand stopped. I asked the man, John, at the detailing section for help and he gave me a credit which meant more time to clean. He didn't hassle me about it, just fixed the wash so I could finish washing my car. It was so nice not to drive home in a soapy pink car. I didn't have nay extra money to start over so I am glad he was there to help. read more

Cody and his team are simply THE BEST, and I won't bring my car anywhere else (even if that means driving across San Diego for his service). Very reasonable prices and my car is simply sparking inside and out. Cody goes out of his way to be extra accommodating (fitting me in when I call for an appointment last minute, even dropping my car off to me nearby when it's finished) and the service is only outshined by, well, the shine on my car (ba-dum-ch)! Don't go anywhere else (although you need at least a few hours to be able to leave your car there even for the basic wash package, but that just shows how detail oriented they are)!! read more

THESE GUYS WERE AWESOME!!! We had a large branded step van we needed to get to an event. But before we could do that, we needed to get it washed. Then, we ran it into a tree. We pulled up, obviously in need of some help, a little frantic, and with little time. These guys really were lifesavers and helped us maneuver the vehicle as best we could (since it was too tall for the stalls) and helped us wash it and clean it up. They helped us get it ready and back on the road in time for the event and we really wouldn't have been able to do it without them! Thank you guys so much for the over and above service!!! read more

Best, most affordable car wash AND detail I've EVER gotten! I usually go to two spots in La Jolla, which are over-priced, slow, and only ever care about getting my car in-and-out, then onto the next. Sick of the waiting period and tired of being overcharged for a mediocre job, I did some Yelp research and discovered Shine Auto Detailing. I had a few spare minutes during my crazy busy work week and was hoping to be able to bring it in and drop it off, just for a car wash. I called Shine during the busy lunch hour mid-week, and didn't expect that they'd be able to wash my car or be willing to let me leave my car there till EOD! However, Cody answered the phone, asked me my make and model, and quoted me an extremely fair price for a hand-washed job on a an SUV - $45 (they're a hand-wash only service)!!! Furthermore, he said to come on in and that leaving my car on their lot wouldn't be an issue whatsoever! I told him I didn't want to spend more than $45, but was happy to listen to what his detail package entailed. After speaking with him for just a few minutes, I was extremely impressed by his professionalism - could tell he was the real deal. I explained that I had one real big ding/scratch and inquired about the possibility of them being able to buff it out. He told me that as long as it was just residue, not a deep scratch, or my own paint that peeled up from under as a result of my mini fender bender, he was certain he'd be able to buff it out! I ended up going with the full detail package, which included everything under the sun and more for $150. My parents told me that just paid over $150 for a full-detail in AZ that included a steam clean/power wash on the engine. I called cody back to ask if that was included and he informed that it usually costs $35 more, but to consider it taken care for being a new new client! I brought my car over, quickly handed off the keys to two extremely professional gentlemen! I told them I'd be back at the end of the day and that I had to run back to my office, and they even offered a ride back to down the street! They finished in less than 2 hours and sent me a text as per my request! I picked it up and my car was in immaculate shape, better than a full service detail from BMW that I pay big bucks for a few times a year!!! I could rave on and on! If you're looking for an immaculate car wash and/or detail at an affordable price from friendly and professional gentlemen, I HIGHLY suggest visiting Shine Auto Detailing - an absolute gem of a spot in Solana Beach conveniently located right off the 101!
