I have six family members at this cemetery. I live out of state so I try to visit every few years…read more After 3 years the "flush with the lawn" type grave markers are grown over and barely visible. I remembered tools to help me clear off the weeds, cut dry grass, and dirt. Gotta remember a whisk broom and liquid cleaner next time. I got 4 out of 6 graves located and cleaned up. Steve, the caretaker, was very busy with current funeral needs and I left prior to having him help me with locating the last 2. I figure I will call in advance of my next visit and locate on a map. There is just one caretaker and a volunteer who help to maintain the sites, be patient with requests. I have accepted that when I am in the area, it is up to me to make sure to do maintenance. It gives me a chance to do some "remembering" of those beloved family members, including my mom.

The atmosphere here was serene, welcoming, and allowed us the space to breathe, ask questions, and make decisions with care. We genuinely felt supported every step of the way. Because of this experience, I now feel inspired to plan my own arrangements ahead of time so my family can focus on grieving and being together, rather than navigating logistics during such a painful time. I would have highly recommend ed and given them 5 stars even then. But now, I'd give them 10 stars if I could. They were amazing as I navigated through last minute, challenging complications with my mom's remains leading up to her burial.... and they didn't even handle her or cremate her when she passed (an East Bay mortuary did). They truly went above and beyond even coming to pick up my moms remains at my home and finding a way to ensure it would arrive safely close to her burial site since I could not take her on a plane with her urn. They were kind, compassionate, professional, thorough, and go above and beyond at a time when it's really needed. Thank you Eugene, in particular!

Please do not send your loved one to this Cemetary until you visit there and see what a mess it is…read more . It is not a dignified place to lay your loved one to rest! I would remove my mom but her ashes are scattered in the butterfly garden which we can not access. They keep the gates locked. The grounds and the buildings are in deplorable shape. They are not a 5-Star they are not even a 1-Star. A large part of the mausoleum was built and designed in 1909 by Julia Morgan. She is world known for her work at Hearst Castle. The original buildings have historical status which is probably why the owners are letting it deteriorate... partially why we picked this location was for the history and the fact that Julia Morgan history is there. We paid for a dignified place to take our mom. We were promised well kept gardens and visitation from sunup to sundown. The way it is today .,,,This is not what we paid for. I've called and no return calls.
