While browsing the color books the staff provided, I didn't find a color I liked until after my nails were done, when I noticed another cat eye book I hadn't been shown. I asked to switch to a color from that book. The front desk manager informed me I'd be charged an additional $20 for the color change. I understood there was labor involved and suggested the $10 gel removal fee would be more appropriate, since I was already paying for cat eye design, not a different service. The front desk manager said she was "doing me a favor" by not charging $38, but was dismissive and had an attitude throughout the entire conversation. I felt talked down to rather than valued as a customer, and ultimately paid the extra $20 just to end the uncomfortable exchange. This is also not my first time feeling unwelcome here. On more than one occasion, including this visit, staff have exchanged looks and spoken to each other in another language when I've requested short nails with a new set. It's unprofessional and makes customers feel judged. I genuinely wanted to love this place and have visited several times since they opened, giving them the benefit of the doubt. The nail technicians do great work, which is why I've recommended my family here. My family was actually with me on this visit and were equally disappointed in the front desk staff's behavior. Unfortunately, the front desk team has a consistent attitude problem that undermines the experience.
