We didn't know we had a Shipleys this close to our home until today! Our library gave us coupons for their Summer Reading Program, so I took my kids to redeem them. Annnnd I ended up ordering an iced coffee and extra donuts for mom and dad. The iced coffee is actually a cold brew, per the employee. They offer French vanilla and salted Carmel creamer (I believe it's is International Delight in case anyone has dietary restrictions). The donuts were delicious and fresh! We got the cherry filled, cream filled, blue sprinkles, original glazed, and Bavarian cream. They also have kolaches!! This was a great experience and we will be back. I made the mistake (not really) of suggesting we stop off here for a donut before church one Sunday. I had my first Shipley do-nut recently (don't judge) and I wasn't a big donut fan, until now. Now we go a couple times a month. These are the best donuts I've ever had and you can't convince me otherwise. Anything with cinnamon in it is my jam. I'm also a fan of the cake donuts. My husband loves the apple fritters. But if you come when the plain glazed donuts are just out of the oven... get one. Or two. Everyone working here is so friendly... and that says a lot when you know they have been up since way before the sun rose. On Friday morning around 6:30am I stopped at the Shipley Do-Nuts location at 8201 N Beach St Fort Worth, TX 76244. I wanted to treat my staff to breakfast for a week of good work. This was my first visit to this location, so I pulled up to the drive through window. As the gentleman opened the sliding window, I asked if he had a menu. He sharply responded with "No there's no posted menu". I thought "ok, I'll just wing it." I ordered a dozen sausage kolaches, 1/2 dozen plain, 1/2 dozen chocolate donuts & 2 dozen donut holes. My total came to $52.00. I drove to work and at 7:00am, I ate a sausage kolaches. It was dry, did not taste fresh and the bread to sausage ratio was way off. I grew up around Czech women & I can tell if baked fresh. I was there at 6:30am, not 3:30pm. They tasted day old . The donuts & donut holes did not taste fresh either. Look at the pic. I was embarrassed to offeri these to my staff. I did not get my money's worth from this transaction. I could overlook the rude employee if the product had tasted good. This was the first & last time I will visit this location or any other Shipley Do-Nuts. read more

Went here on Mother's Day morning to get donuts. They closed the inside so you had to go through the drive through. I sat in line for 20 minutes waiting to order. I ordered 10 donuts and an order of donut holes. My wife had requested donuts for her and the kids for Mother's Day. You would think 10 assorted types of donuts would come in a box, well not at this store. Every donut was thrown in a bag with multiple donuts. The chocolate glazed donuts lost half the glaze sticking to the inside of the bags. Some glazed donuts rubbed off on other non-glazed. I ordered 1 sugar coated donut, it was on top of 3 other donuts. Sugar spilled, rubbed off on the other donuts. It was a mess. Why would you think this is ok? 10 donuts should have come in a box, not smashed up bags. I wanted my wife to have some nice donuts for Mothers Day and I thought I could get those here. Instead we ended up with sloppy looking donuts and messed up bags full of icing. What a mess. I could have just as easily ordered Shipley's in Saginaw for a $4 dollar fee on Uber Eats and have it take the same amount of time to get here. Plus I wouldn't of had to get the kids ready, drive to your store, and sit in line for 20 minutes. I won't be back and won't waste my time ordering from this store. If you want decent donuts I would avoid this location. At least until they can learn how to properly pack donuts and not leave customers with a mess. read more

They lack customer service at this location. Today was my first time and I walked in to place my order. They looked at me like it was an inconvenience for them to be INSIDE because the drive thru was pretty busy. First time trying this location. Don't even bother trying it y'all! It's terrible. Got a dozen donuts and after one bite they alllll went into the trash. They tasted like plastic. These are not even close to the original Shipley Do-Nuts. The traditional glazed was more of a "cake" donut and NOT even close to the texture of what they should be. The glaze was not the same for the traditional or the chocolate. Tasted like any other mediocre donut shop in town. Will not be returning to this location. read more

Pretty awesome set up they have for a donut shop. I think same owner as the Shipley Do-Nuts In Watagua. But, came here during the grand opening... donuts stale. Not a good way to start. They had their excuses, but it fell to deaf ears . I actually love the donuts at the Watagua store. Not sure what they're doing wrong here... Friendly-ish and frazzled staff. We went at 9am on a Saturday and there was plenty of parking and we were the only ones in the drive through. The employee that helped us was happy and helpful. I was glad at first that this store opened next to my favorite Asian grocery as I can easily grab a donut or two if the craving hits. And I get it, they just had their grand opening today, but I stepped inside about 15 minutes ago and one would think, with about 10 employees behind the counter and no one else in line but me, that one at least would ask what I needed. Nope, not one single one for a good solid 5 minutes. They all looked at me, and then pretended to be busy. With what, I do not know. One even looked at me strangely, like I had grown a second head. It is a donut place, it should not be hard to say hi and if really swamped, just acknowledge and say it will be a bit. I don't mind that. It's the indifference of the employees that work there that was very off putting. I hope the Watauga location stays open, because even though I go to Van Tran a lot, I won't be stopping by this one, even if it's next door. The customer service was non-existent. New places have kinks to work on I know, but greeting someone, heck even just smiling, should be a no-brainer from the get go. read more
