I went in one day around 11, not many donuts left. Lady at register was very friendly, told me I needed to be early to get what I wanted. Fast forward to today.... I go in at opening.... I hate Shipleys Donuts, I'm a Krispy Kreme girl , but I do like their donut holes. That being said, the past two days I've gone right when they open to order and the first time they said the fryer was broken, so I come back next morning and excuse was they were short staffed and couldn't make any. First time here was not even greeted by the worker. It was not welcoming or even polite to be a customer here, the workers and I assume the owner since her picture was on the wall were very standoffish. Only one other customer was there so they were not busy enough to excuse this behavior. When ordering and paying the worker just stared at us as if we were stupid and didn't understand something. I know this is a franchise and this customer service is not a good indicator of the company as a whole. We won't be back. read more

I was craving for some donuts this morning so decided to drive to Shipleys after my morning grocery shopping at Walmart. Anyways, there were several cars at the drive thru, waited for several minutes and was taking so long, and so I decided to go inside. There were few people In front me, and the service wasn't that fast. Not sure if the staff can really hear what you are saying since she had one ear phone on. Maybe she's listening to her music at the same time, because she just can't the people's order right the first time. Finally it was my turn, I ordered 3 glazed, 1 sugar, and 2 Bavarian filled. But she gave me 2 glazed instead.... I didn't feel like saying anything because u just wanted to go back home, have a cup of coffee and enjoy my donuts..... Needless to say, after all that wait, I was able to enjoy my donuts. The glazed is really soft, chewy and just delicious!!!! I also love the Bavarian filled, not too sweet filling, just perfect!!!! I will eat the rest for later.... I just hope their customer service will be better next time and not allow their staff to have ear phones while serving customers... Otherwise, keep up the good work on those delicious donuts!!!! read more

I've only been here once and I was really craving donuts that day. Their menu was huge and there were just too many choices. Kinda hurt my head trying to figure out what I wanted. So I just asked the cashier if I could get half a dozen donuts and I just started picking what I wanted out. I don't remember how much it was but it wasn't expensive or anything. There were like 3 people working at that time. The girl (who was white, not Asian), was kind of rude just the way she talked, but the guy next to her totally made up for her rudeness. He gave me a free donut. I don't remember why but I was happy nonetheless. I can't say there was any one donut flavor that stood out. They were all pretty average. I was hoping they had my favorite Sour Cream Donuts but they didn't. Top Donuts is the one that carries them and the only reason I came to Shipley was because Top Donut was closed. The early bird gets the worm is the only drawback to Shipley's. Sadly, by 0800 there were no more jalapeño kolaches, however the sausage & cheese and ham & cheese are no disappointment. These pillowy soft rolls filled with savory goodness will create a craving only quenched by Shipley's, so think long and hard before becoming an addict if you're far from this Texas chain. The apple fritters & donuts are perfectly crafted & never leave that greasy donut heaviness that their competitors do. (Sorry DD & KK) . They've got a just right portion of glaze so they're not syrupy sweet, letting the light fluffy donut flavor shine. Coffee... it's perfect donut shop breakfast blend. Simple. right. There's a large selection of juices & milk too. The kitchen is an open plan so spectators can watch the donut process & rest assured that everything is clean. Hello, Your donuts and coffee were delicious. The price of your donuts / coffee were very reasonable. Problem: Your customer area of the store (front area of the store) was "disgusting". There were dead grasshoppers on the floor and climbing up the glass on the front of your door from the inside. You had "flies" flying over the donuts. Nobody cleaned underneath the tables. You have a young employee not knowing how to utilize their time "when nobody is in the store" to keep the store clean in my opinion. I was the only person for at least 30 mins and the drive thru had one customer. The front of your store is what people remember. I highly recommend your store focus on cleanliness. read more

Being from the North East I am a big fan of Dunkin Donuts, especially their coffee. Since there are no D&Ds in the local area Shipley Do-Nuts is a awesome substitute! Their coffee can't beat Dunkin Donuts but their donuts are always fresh and there service is quick and friendly. read more

Just picked up two dozen fresh, warm, ooey, gooey, doughnuts. They are always on top of their game at this location. My family loves Shipley. The only issue here is that the entrance to the parking lot is horrible.. far too steep of a turn. Other than that... zero issues. read more

Yummm! We come here to get doughnuts frequently, they are delish. The staff is helpful, even when it's busy they take the time to get your order right. The only thing I didn't like, was the coffee, it's not the greatest... But the doughnuts are great! read more
