Told him I've got a badly dripping tub spout and also a hissing toilet. His son Andrew arrived at 8:30 today, right on time! (Even though this was no emergency...refreshing.) Andrew was polite and quick and helpful. It's funny...what a Home Warranty company told me years ago (when it was a tiny, minor drip) would require "chainsawing through the travertine tile to fix"...Andrew fixed in less than an hour after a quick drive to Lowe's to get the parts! AND NO TILE DESTRUCTION WAS INVOLVED! He said only one side was dripping but said we could be proactive and fix both (original) for a reduced, packaged price...which was of course a no brainer and very appreciated. Then he fixed my hissing toilet (which my hubby said later he could've done himself...but he had the chance when I told him it was hissing, so....)...I was just happy to have all the dripping and all the noises stopped. Quickly and for a fair price. Would definitely recommend!!! (Also really appreciated Andrew's slip off boots, which he politely asked if should be removed and had no issues with doing so!) When I questioned this, he said: "I'm not rejecting you. Anyone who insults me with dishonesty doesn't deserve my services. I pride myself on honesty and transparency. I treat all my customers with respect and kindness. I am one of the kindest contractors you will come across. But for you to question my honesty is an insult." Transparency and clear communication are essential in good business practice. Any professional contractor should state upfront: "$2,100 cash, +4% if paying by card." Because the full picture wasn't communicated when it mattered, it's understandable that I felt the situation was not handled honestly.
