I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback regarding my recent experience with Encore, as I've had several projects completed by Encore Plumbing in the past--including installing a tankless water heater and unclogging drains. I've always appreciated the quality of work, which is why I chose Encore again for my latest project involving the installation of two faucets and unclogging two slow sinks. I submitted pictures and requested a quote through Yelp, and received a firm price, which was reassuring. I also made it clear I was in no rush and could wait until after Memorial Day, as I understand the holiday can be more expensive. Although I had other quotes to consider, I opted to continue with Encore based on our past positive work. I did add a request to remove and install a toilet to the project list as well. The plumber who came out did excellent work--handled everything required, cleaned up thoroughly, and I'm very happy with the end result on that front. However, I was disappointed by the change in pricing. Upon arrival and after work began, a valve started leaking, and additional charges were introduced for replacing the valves--something that, based on the pictures provided, other companies had already flagged as necessary. The quote for the extra work and the toilet installation ended up adding nearly $1,000 to the bill. While I were able to negotiate the price down, it still felt like I was being charged over $300 an hour for labor, and an extra $650 for something that could have been anticipated ahead of time. The sudden price change was frustrating, especially since at that point, I felt locked in--the plumber was already there, and now I had a leak in the line, making it difficult to bring in another company to resolve the new issue. Additionally, I was encouraged multiple times to sign up for a yearly service plan to receive a 15% discount. While I understand the value of ongoing service agreements, this approach didn't sit well with me, particularly since other plumbers and service providers in other Calif areas I've worked with have offered the first year of their service plan for free, allowing me to evaluate the benefits before committing. read more

I had a really great experience with Encore Plumbing & Air. When they first came out to give me a quote and perform maintenance on my AC system, they were extremely thorough. They took photos of everything and walked me through the issues they found so I could clearly see what was going on. I already knew my system was old, but I had no idea it was freezing up and actually causing water damage. They also showed me that some parts had been installed incorrectly by a previous installer, which explained a lot of the problems I had been having. My HVAC technicians, Ronny and Michael, removed my 34 year old furnace, FAU, and duct system, and installed a whole new system to include a new thermostat, outside condenser unit, and a QuietCool whole house fan. Considering how old my system was, it was a big job, but they handled everything professionally and made the whole process easy. Before starting the work, they asked me what had been discussed with the person who originally gave me the quote to make sure everyone was on the same page. I really appreciated that level of communication. They also asked for my opinion before moving forward with different parts of the installation. Aza, the plumber, installed the HALO 5 whole-home water filtration system. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was installed properly. He even went as far as to show me how the pipes where set up and in the event of a unforeseen issue how to shut the water off and use the bypass to keep water flowing in the house. When the job was finished, the team walked me through the new systems and showed me how everything works. That extra time meant a lot because it helped me understand how to use everything correctly. The entire crew was respectful of my home, worked hard, and left everything clean. The whole process was well beyond my expectations. The dispatcher was very responsive, and the service quality and value thus far has been fantastic. They could not have made a finer first impression. We were in a bind; a sewage drain burst outside our garage walkway. and we needed someone fast. When I called, I asked them to send someone quickly, and asked if they could service QuietCool Whole House Fan systems since our membership HVAC said I would have to work with the installer. Within not much more than an hour two of the bright colored vans arrived. While Matt was looking into our sewer blockage, their Air tech Ronnie explained we had a misconception about the QuiteCool system. Because it was a model home, we did not get good records, so he took photos to send to me and kindly explained we did not have a problem. Out front, I met someone talking with Matt and later found out it was one of the family founders who had driven over a camera so Matt could do a full scan down to the street to make sure we did not have a bigger issue. Matt was also helpful in reviewing the downstairs toilet we want to replace. I was quite surprised they did not charge more. I have scheduled an HVAC tune-up and plan to keep working with them. Ok, I was going to give you the neutral review above based on our long relationship, Agree, $1,500 is a reasonable price for excavation & repair. But you are skewing the facts. Your service & products have not always been acceptable, but we have always worked out the details. Sometimes one has to own up. About 2.5 days into a 3 day job, the excavation was complete, & the solitary leak was evident. Encore wanted another $900 for just the one repair for the one leak. The tech & I had multiple PREVIOUS discussions during the 3 day period that the total, excavation AND repair, was a total $1,500. I was extremely distressed at this point, & surmised it was no accident that the whole project would be stalled & I would need to find housing elsewhere. I am a senior & live alone. This was devastating. To move things along I suggested we go to small claims. Your tech wanted to complete the job, which he did until it was totally dark. Since he could not see in the dark, so the yard is a mess & I have the expense & labor of not only cleaning up, but also restoration of the destroyed landscaping. read more

We recently had to purchase a new A/C unit for our home and decided to go with Encore. The customer service with these guys is on point which alleviated the pain of forking out the price for a new system. We own a manufactured home and we were hot! So we decided on the higher price model (there are two choices for manufactured homes). They came in two days later and started installing the new system. What they did not mention was how loud the system would be. It sounded like an airplane was landing inside my house. So much so, that it was affecting our hearing and to be honest my relationship with my spouse. When it ran, we could not hear each other, the phone, the TV - but we were nice and cool. We kept reaching out to see if there was a solution for how loud this thing was and the field supervisor, Jake, came out. There was no quick fix , but Jake kept in touch, and we were persistent since the noise was driving us crazy! After about a month and a half, and one not so nice voicemail (sorry Jake), there was a solution. I really did not have high hopes but Jake came out and installed a module that would bring the noise level down, and thank you Lord, we could have a conversation in the house again! We have had it with Encore Plumbing Heating And Air Conditioning Murrieta. We saw their ad in one of the magazines in the mail for a $49 AC tune up. I don't think the tech did anything for us except take some stuff apart, take pictures and try a hard sales pitch. Our system is not that old so we didn't take the "offer". He continued to push for other things that he was recommending. At this point we just wanted him gone. He said he needed to put some stuff back together and he would go. He then proceeded to get his manager on the phone and the manager was pushing for us to get the work done. We finally got the tech to leave. Three weeks later, our AC stopped cooling. Not sure if it was just a coincidence, but it sure felt oddly suspicious. We contacted a company that was highly recommended to come check everything out and they were able to fix the problem without any issues or up sales. They did not see any problems with our system that Encore was pushing for. I started getting text messages from Encore two weeks ago saying that we needed to have our system checked and followed the instructions to stop receiving messages. Few days later they sent another message from another number for the same thing. Followed the instructions and to stop receiving messages again. Received a third message and let them know that if they don't stop sending messages, I was going to share this experience with you. Guess what?! Yep, another message this morning without their name. We had a leave in our bathtub and We requested an appointment via Yelp and they responded within 10 and were able to provide us with an appointment the next day between 8-9am. Our technician was Steve and he arrived at exactly 8am and provided us a quote. He was amazing enough to wait for my husband to go and purchase the faucet that needed to be replaced. I love that they send you a text message confirming your appointment and then on the day of the appointment they text you providing you a picture of the technician who will be completing the service call. This was my first call and choice when I initially started my internet search. I called after hours and was given the choice for an immediate response which would be extra or wait until 0800 the next morning. My issue wasn't that severe and I opted to wait until the next morning. My AC service technician Nelse C. was absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable. Steve Elwart was extremely knowledgeable and informed me of the multiple ways the plumbing in our bathroom could be repaired. Unfortunately for me he had to cut a hole in our wall for better access to do the repair. He also recommend someone for the drywall which was helpful and to my surprise he was very neat and clean. When I went upstairs to see the his finished work. He had cleaned up and the debris from the drywall he cut including the dust from a near by table.
