Highly recommend Javier from R&R!…read more Our bathroom had 2 issues. The shower had 2 points of discharge and water came out from both ends when we turn on the water. The control switch was not working properly and it appears to have something broken inside the switch. The second was the bathtub was dripping for months. Our property manager gave us some recommendation on handyman, and we reached out to a few others. Everyone of the handyman looked at the issues and said they couldn't do it. Javier from R&R was professional and friendly. He came, looked at the problems and gave us multiple options. We were told that our bathroom fixtures were on the older end, and replacement parts would be pretty slim. Javier said he would try his best to find ways to fix our problems, and if it can't be fix, then he would have to go with the full remove and replace option. Needless to say, the cheaper option would be less than half the price of the worst case scenario. We were presented with the cheaper options to be less than $1000, while the worst case scenario would be in the mid $2000 with our drywall cut open in order to do the fixture replacement. We would also had to then deal with redoing the drywall since that is not part of the company's scope of work. Javier came back after we accepted the estimate and was able to fix everything faster than I thought. To my surprised, he was able to find the replacement parts and fix everything. My experience with Javier and R&R has been exceptional. I highly recommend R&R to anyone with plumbing issue like i had.

They do a great job explaining what (if anything) is wrong. They take a lot of photos to provide evidence and they don't just speak out of their butt! They don't pressure you into getting anything that you don't need, however, they do give you recommendations on what might make things run smoother/better, but there is absolutely zero pressure to get any of these extra things. This time, Mario was the AC technician who came out and did the maintenance check on our HVAC and furnace; he also changed out the filter in the furnace. He was super nice, really knowledgeable and we will definitely be requesting him for future services.

Now we're at the seventh month mark and let me say that every day I am grateful for the work that Peterson Plumbing did on our home. Peterson Plumbing did a complete replumb with PEX. In a word, Thomas is awesome! We were initially skeptical when he offered the lowest estimate for repairs and did so over the phone without coming out to the house. My wife had talked with him first when getting quotes. We had the plumber that had been servicing our home for the past five years. Their quote was about four thousand higher. Another estimate from a local plumber was double of Thomas'. I reached out to Thomas and expressed my concern about him doing an estimate without coming out. He said he lived in the area and knew the homes; he even swung by after his day was done for a quick meet and greet. His estimate stood at what he stated. Even with a record 86 drywall holes in our house; Thomas said that typical replumbs have about 35 holes. Now for the things that we found out that he and his staff did not share with us. We have hot water quicker at every faucet in the house, except one. When they replumbed, they did so more efficiently than the original piping with backbone of the plumbing being between the first and second floors. The master shower used to take over a minute to get hot water, now it's less than 10 seconds. The kitchen was about 30 seconds, now it's about 15 seconds. The downstairs bathroom stays at about 15 seconds. Plumbing took one day. Drywall repair took two days. Thomas told us it would take one or two depending on how much repair work needed to be done. Every step of the way Thomas stayed within the guidelines that he outlined for us and never came to us with extra or hidden charges, despite being the least expensive estimate. Thomas went above and beyond as well. At no charge, he redid our pool fill which had been non-operational since we moved to the house over 10 years ago. He also swapped to valves for the shower and sink faucets in the master bathroom. He also replaced a damaged aerator and ordered the replacement part from Delta himself. I didn't even know until the package arrived and he phoned to swing by and install it. If you're looking for an honest plumber who stands by his work; Thomas is your local plumber!!! Don't hesitate. I have referred Thomas more than any other local business.

The reason for my 1-star rating is because when we were ready to schedule, we called and called and no one ever answered. My husband also tried and left messages that were never returned. I know they are a busy company, but it shouldn't be that hard to schedule once a quote has been provided. Perhaps Doug needs to hire a receptionist to help with phones. We ended up going with another company and I'm so glad we did. They did a wonderful job! They were also Yelp verified and backed by a $2,500 protection by Yelp. We chose a smaller company where we had direct access to the owner and communication was never a problem. The owner was also onsite every day of the job.

We ultimately decided to limit the project to repairing our shower pan leak. At that point, Nathan informed that the company could no longer do business with us. Unfortunately, this left us feeling that the focus was more on maximizing the project value than on addressing our actual needs as customers. We value transparency, clear communication, and flexibility when making significant home improvement decisions, and our experience did not reflect those expectations.

Review for Gardner Plumbing Co. - Technician: Mitchell Beers I want to take a moment to recognize Gardner Plumbing Co., and especially technician Mitchell Beers, for exceptional service and integrity. We were working through our home insurance after noticing a loud noise coming from our water heater and water collecting in the drain pan underneath. I even posted about it in a community Facebook group, and nearly everyone advised that the water heater likely needed to be replaced. The first plumbing company sent by our insurance took less than a minute to look at it and immediately said the unit needed to be fully replaced--even though it was only two years old. We were told this could cost us up to $1,200 out of pocket, despite already having spent about $800 previously to bring it up to code. After pushing the issue, we were advised that since the unit was still under manufacturer warranty, another company would come out. That's when Gardner Plumbing Co. sent Mitchell. Mitchell took his time, thoroughly inspected every component, and truly assessed the situation rather than jumping to conclusions. He identified that the issue was not the water heater itself, but a hose at the top that had slipped and was causing the leaking and condensation, which in turn created the noise and water buildup. A small adjustment and minor fix later--no more noise, no more leaking, and the water heater was in perfect working condition. What stood out the most was Mitchell's honesty and professionalism. He easily could have recommended a replacement like others did, but instead he relied on his expertise and integrity. Because of him, we avoided an unnecessary replacement and likely saved around $1,200, which makes a huge difference--especially during the holidays. I made sure to thank him and told him that if more people worked with the honesty and care that he does, we'd all be in a better place. This review isn't about complaining--it's about recognizing excellent work and a truly good human being. Gardner Plumbing is a company clearly "set apart" from the others in the plumbing business, as they have proven themselves on every service call I needed them for, that they are a business dedicated to operating on the foundation of trust, transparency, honest, integrity, and compassion. I barely moved into my "older" rental home in a senior community when I needed to call on Gardner Plumbing for a washing machine replacement, three successive gas leaks, and much to my chagrin an "almost" disastrous garbage disposal situation. I interacted with several of Gardner Plumbing employees for each of the different service calls, who I found each and every time to be highly skilled and knowledgeable in their profession, able to respond quickly in a situation demanding attention to safety, reasonable and decent in what they charge for services, and still compassionate to my unavoidable financial circumstances, giving me the peace of mind and confidence that I was in the right hands. This is the most expensive company I have come across in the the riverside area. Unfortunately you do not even get what you pay for. Charged me $175 Just to snake main drain. Then convinced me to televise the line for additional charge. That would not not be to bad if they correctly diagnosed the problem but they did not correctly diagnose the problem and their televised report was completely inaccurate leading to future problems. Called up Nootbaar Plumping to make a appointment for him to come out to my house to fix two of my toilets that have been running. These guys are on top of their game! Called them to come fix a leaking water heater last week, not only did they arrive promptly, they fixed the problem in a short amount of time and they didn't charge me an arm and a leg. There are many shady plumbers around this area who will take advantage of your lack of knowledge by charging way over industry norms. Definitely not with these guys! read more
