I highly recommend this tour it wasn't congested on the boat and the service was friendly and accommodating. If I am back in NYC with others that wish a tour and easiest way to see Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge and One World Trade Center by the water I'm telling you this the one to select. He dismissed it, saying it only needed an oil change. Not long after, we broke down near the BK Bridge--only to discover that neither our ski nor the guides carried the emergency supplies promised in the mandatory 15-minute safety video (which claimed we'd have ropes). It quickly escalated into a nightmare: we drifted into a helipad, slammed against it, and were nearly pulled under the bridge by waves. My friend and I literally had to hold ourselves against a rusty structure to keep from being dragged under, while the staff stood by without helping--until we screamed at them. When transferring to another ski, my friend even fell into the water. This company is completely unprofessional, dangerously unprepared, and puts lives at risk. Do yourself a favor--book with someone else.

She was as eager to get to know us as we were eager to get to know her, and while she let everyone get their hands on the boat's functions, she never pushed expectations or made us feel small for being novices. She would have stayed out with us longer if she could, and we would have too! Also important to note, the team was SO HELPFUL with rescheduling. When our sail date threatened heavy wind & rain all morning, they graciously changed our lesson date, giving us the best experience possible. Couldn't ask for a better, more receptive or more inviting team to work with and learn from.

It's actually called the Conservatory Water, and during the season you can rent a boat to sail around the pond. I've done this a few times and it's kind of fun and relaxing. They are remote controlled and wind powered so if you come here on a breezy day you've got it made. Not cheap at $12 for 30 minutes but it's kind of therapeutic. The pond is pretty big so you can find your own spot to sail around and gather your thoughts.

All I know is that any season I enjoy this lake. It's right near Le Pain Quotidian. There's benches for relaxing. Lots of great sights nearby. I love to come here and highly recommend when you visit Central Park.
