Wonderful veterinarian and staff. They take great care of our dog Duncan and when we have lost a dog they are extremely caring.

I have so many positive things to share, I don't even know where to begin…read more My best cat friend of 10 years, Lennon, began exhibiting symptoms of an illness just before Halloween. As the days went on he became more and more sick. His belly became enlarged, he was barely able to walk and it was obvious our time together was coming to an end. On Thanksgiving night, around midnight, I came home to find Lennon in very, very bad shape. He was clearly near death and needed immediate care. Lennon was never a patient of Pine Bluff Animal Hospital, but I needed to find the closest hospital to get him help as quickly as possible. Shortly after midnight, Dr. Schmidt agreed to meet my boyfriend and I at the hospital within 20 minutes. Dr. Schmidt immediately assessed Lennon and recommended euthanasia. Dr. Schmidt was so gentle with Lennon and handled him with such tenderness and clearly explained the options available to Lennon and what the next steps would be in a way that was both factual and empathetic. My boyfriend and I had a beautiful, private moment alone to say goodbye to Lennon and the doctor was so respectful of our time with Lennon. This next part I remember so vividly: when I walked back in the room after Lennon had passed away, Dr. Schmidt gently pulled Lennon's blanket up to cover him just like he was sleeping. It may not seem like much, but to me it showed Dr. Schmidt's character. He is compassionate, kind and caring, all of which extends past his obligation as a veterinarian. I chose to cremate Lennon and also asked for a clay paw impression. When I picked Lennon up to take him home for the last time, I looked down to find that Lennon's remains had been placed in a beautiful wood box with a brass nameplate and the clay paw was outfitted with his name and a heart. I was so touched that I cried in the parking lot for over 5 minutes. I've been meaning to write a note of thanks for a few weeks, but haven't found the right words. This review doesn't do my thoughts justice. To think that the veterinarian of a busy animal shelter accepted Lennon (a never before seen patient) on an emergency visit basis at midnight on Thanksgiving is absolutely incredible. I am humbled and forever grateful. One last note: shortly after Lennon passed away, I received a sympathy card in the mail, hand-signed by the staff with notes of sympathy, including Dr. Schmidt who wrote a note that was very touching. I was so emotional over the staff taking their time to remember me in my time of deep, deep grief. I can not recommend PBAH enough. These are folks who care deeply about animals, care about people and care about their hospital.

He looked just like my beloved dog that I loved and lost at 16 years of age. We found Max at K-9 Tailshakers and thru research felt we found the best of the best. We had the foster family drop him off. He bit me twice previously, so I knew this was no easy task and the transition would leave me wounded from dog bites. Max worked with him only a week. He was then a totally different dog. The foster family and all of the GS group were amazed and in awe of the work done. Our boy turned into a loving, sweet and behaved gorgeous but still lethal family dog. Max has our total respect and gratitude for taking our doomed baby and making him an incredible companion The education has not ended. We will consider this a process and take him back periodically for training and board. Max is like part of the family now and we feel so indebted for what he accomplished. We recommend him for all creatures big and small. He really trains the human and the dog. You can tell that he truly loves his work and creates a bond with the dog almost instantly. For real ....he is the best. Baby Bear, Javier, Leslie, Scoutie and Pixie

Our dog has been boarded there several times and this last time they went above and beyond my expectations. They treated our dog like she was one of their own, went out of their way to make her feel comfortable and not miss home so much. The ENTIRE staff are so great and all deserve a top notch recommendation. The owner Jan, went above and beyond to make our girls stay a happy one. I would HIGHLY recommend this place for daycare/boarding/training, they are the best you will find. Great job K9 Tailshakers, you outdid yourselves. Thank you from the bottom of our heart and Emmie's too!!!! We are so grateful.

The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. The classes are incredibly valuable too. The results speak for themselves.

Well, we DIDN'T have ANY of the bad experiences others reported. The customer service upon entry from START to FINISH was OUTSTANDING. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the front desk with excellent customer service. The 'cat' coordinator who took us to the cat section was VERY knowledgeable about the cats and spent an incredible amount of time with us. We didn't feel rushed at all. P.A.W.S followed through with everything they said they would do. The whole process from seeing our little Whisper to picking her up and taking her to her new home was six days (and that's because two of the days we weren't available). The process went very smoothly. They answered our questions in person and returned our phone calls and emails timely. They are very concerned about their pets and the homes their animals are placed in. We feel really honored to house one of the pets from their facility.
