horrible doctor. WIll take your teeth off or suggest crown for simple filling. She suggested 3 crowns for 1 filling and was mad to prove it. Other doctors were horrified that she did crown for no reason when it had to be only filling. Does not care about patients but her money. They have a style - when work is done, the assistant goes and informs receptionist and then patient is exiting receptionist turns back to push for immediate payment. Hard to believe a woman can do this. She does not hesitate to put crowns for no reason to fill her pocket. She talked nonstop random things like human trafficking throughout the service to distract and it was like sitting a salon. read more

On March 26, 2019 I spoke with this dentist about a very very bad set of experiences I had with dentist Sook Hong in Sunnyvale. Dr. Bien told me one should ALWAYS do a CT/3-D scan before pulling a root canal ( which dr.Hong had not recommended) ,and that not all root canals are bad ( contrary to what Dr Hong said to me) and that she even has 4 in her own mouth, and only 20% of all root canals are affected. However 4 days later, she wrote a letter in favor of Sook Hong, never mentioning that a CT/3-D scan should have been done, and without complete information about my symptoms in another tooth. I hadnt been to see the dentist in quite some time. I was sufferring from pain with an abscess. I found this doctor on Yelp. I messaged them. They returned my message and fit me in. I was greeted by Reinna (sorry for the spelling). We shared many laughs while i filled out some new client paperwork. So far, feeling very at ease. Next, I met Julie, who took xrays and kept asking me if I was comfortable. I was. I could have dozed off, lol. Then I met the Doctor who pleasantly described the procedure. Not once did she talk down to be for being so negligent with my oral hygiene. She actually talked me up, like a pep talk which made me want to turn it all around with due diligence for my oral healthcare. Oh, by the way, the procedure was painless! Dr. Bein has been my dentist for over 15 years! I came to her because my husband and I had a phobia about dentists and the pain associated with their practices. I heard an advertisement on the radio about her being "the dentist with the angel's touch!" After hearing this, my husband and I decided to give here a trail. When we came for our first appointment, I noticed her office decor was chic, relaxing and immaculate! Her staff were friendly and their smiles revealing beautiful teeth! We were required to complete a through medical history questionnaire (we were relieved because this showed us this dentist was concerned about our health too) before our examination. Our first meeting with Dr. Bein, was very pleasant and her dental equipment was exceptional, highly technical and clean! It was my first time that a dentist required a photo of my face. This insured that our chart would not be confused with someone else's. Safety is always a concern of Dr. Bein and her staff! While my x-rays were being preformed by the dental assistant (who was also very kind and precise with her task), Dr. Bein occasionally came in to make sure the assistant was doing their task, "on point!" When it was time for my deep cleaning, Dr. Bein used numbing agent on my gums first and waited a few minutes until she came back asked how I felt. When I told her my gums felt numb, then she inserted the needle with the Novocaine. I didn't experience any unusual discomfort like I would during my experiences with previous dentists. Also, before she began my procedure, she suggested that I raise my hand if I felt the slightest discomfort. What a relief to know she was concerned that I didn't feel any pain or discomfort during my procedure! My husband experienced the same wonderful treatment! After this awesome treatment, we decided to have our children's teeth cared for too which was no disappointment! I've had root canals, tooth pulled, bridges inserted etc., all without pain and never had to go back for faulty work! Dr. Bein is a real perfectionist! Dr. Bein is always staying up to date with the changes of her profession. I have noticed all the certifications hanging on her walls which also reveal her technical knowledge and expertise in her field of practice. Our family has had many complaints about how well our teeth look! Also the view from my patient seat of the beautiful hills are amazing and so relaxing! The doctor with the angel's touch due to insurance changes I had to find another dental office. I finally found this office that took my insurance. The registration went smooth as I was emailed all the paperwork so when we all went in for the appointment we didn't have to waste time filling it out there. We went in for our general cleaning, and of course my little one had cavities. He hates dentists so I was nervous that he was not gonna let her do his fillings. But she was very patient with him and he cooperated...when I asked him how it went he said it was ok, he didn't even know that he had 6 fillings done that day he thought it was just one! She was also very informative regarding Invisalign for my daughter as well. She has an ad on the radio calling her the doctor with the Angels touch and the touch she has indeed!!! read more

I've been coming here for a number of years. Yesterday I had 2 permanent crowns put in place. I didn't feel any pain or discomfort. Later in the evening my injection site in my upper jaw was a bit painful but not enough to require anything. Today my new crowns feel great & injection site is painfree also. No business ethic! Their final bill can be 3 times higher than the estimation. They don't do due diligence to get pre-approval before starting your services. They will lowball the estimation to bait you in, and they only give you a lump sum amount on the invoice without description. Everything is overpriced, not worth to go through the hassle. What a horrible, horrible experience! We had been referred to Dr. Bien for our son who is a teenager with special needs. Dr. Bien met with us, assured us she had heard us and our goals for our son and would be happy to work with us. We scheduled the actual procedure. Dr. Bien totally neglacted to hear us on the orthodonture we had discussed from moment one and further when my husband called to ask about a $500 fee for photos that had been added to the quote unexpectedly, Dr. Bien cancelled the whole procedure with two days notice. We wasted an incredible amount of time and effort for this totally insecure, unbalanced individual who couldn't even answer a question about a charge coming from her practice. I had really bad experience and will never go to this place. She is after your dental yearly benefit amount from insurance company and will suck it as soon as possible by doing all sorts of procedures without taking your consent and discussing cost. Watch out for it otherwise you will have to pay out of your pocket if you need more dental work. Zero stars for that kind of business. read more
