I spent hours online looking at different sites, deciding on the floral arrangement I wanted for my parents. I chose Teleflora for the beautiful arrangement that had my mothers favorite color scheme with greens, dark pinks, and purples and a beautiful blue and white croc ware style vase. There were other vases to chose from, I paid extra for that one. I understood that there may be some substitutions based on available products to meet what was available. I didn't think that would apply to the vase I paid extra for. I didn't think colors outside of the scheme would be added, like yellow, which I purposefully avoided because my mother doesn't like yellow. I didn't think that would mean replacing most of the flowers and removing the elements that made it unique. What was ordered does not resemble what was ordered in any way. The order should've been rejected or I should've been contacted. I was very emotional when I saw it because it just didn't resemble the special sentiment I intended. 2 stars because it was delivered on time and the flowers are healthy. read more

Ordered sympathy flowers for my mom through a third party site. I haven't had much luck with a previous third party site so I ordered the smallest arrangement. Seeing this arrangement in person blew me away. All the flowers were blooming and beautiful. The entire thing was HUGE! Made me question which size I bought. My mom posted a picture of the beautiful arrangement on social media (she doesn't post a ton) before even calling or texting us to let us know she received it. Don't bother going to Target or Walmart to get a gift for someone or even better, something for yourself because you deserve it. Go here. I have used Shirley's many times for flower delivery, but I had never been in their brick and motor store so I stopped by today. The staff was so friendly. Besides plants and flowers - all of which looked healthy and beautiful, they have the coolest, handmade, gifts and drumroll...delicious chocolates. I highly recommend the next time you have flowers delivered maybe gift that person a little something extra like the beautiful handmade jewelry, the chocolates, the pottery mugs caught my eye - lovely and one of a kind. In terms of price, in my opinion, on the higher end, but you get what you pay for and you have to think you're supporting a local business. Think of the time energy and materials people use and do, labor investment wise, to make their products. This justifies 100% the price tag on anything in the store . So, if you are sending a delivery of flowers or a plant can give someone something that no one else has specially the handmade mugs. They are cool. I will definitely be back to shop in the store. Friendly informative staff, and it was nice to be acknowledged while I looked around without feeling like I was being followed or pressured to buy anything. Love working with Shirley's! I'm in Florida and my Mom is in Nashua. I hate using less personal services so called them directly. This is now the second time I've used them and they never disappoint. On both occasions they were professional, friendly, and delivered beautiful arrangements. My Mom was very impressed as to how they handled the delivery, and always loves her arrangements. They rang the bell and stepped back to their car until she came out to get her flowers. They took all necessary COVID related precautions and were very kind. Can't ask for better. I went to Shirley's Flowers simply to buy two wrist-type corsages for an upcoming event. Upon arrival, I was greeted by one very friendly woman, who, upon hearing what I was looking for directed me to a portfolio showcasing a variety of corsage arrangements, mostly involving roses and mostly looking bridal. I explained that I was really looking for something simpler (like one flower). The friendly woman had to turn for help to another woman who appeared, and later sounded, distinctly unfriendly. After some amount of hassle by grumpy lady, I was informed that she COULD do such an item, but the subtext was that she wasn't too pleased about it. Whatever. When originally chatting with the first (friendly) woman about the displays in the portfolio, she explained that they ran about $30, which I thought was reasonable for how elaborate they were. My single-flower corsages (one gerber daisy) ran $20 each, leaving me less than impressed with both the value and customer service. Mind you, the corsage turned out beautifully, but suffering through the grumpy woman's demeanor on both the ordering and the pick-up, coupled with what I feel to be a bit of an overcharge was really quite disappointing. I'll be shopping around for flowers next time. And Shirley? If that was YOU that was the grumpy lady, shame on you! Learn a little from your more cheerful employees! Customers shouldn't have to feel as if they are being little more than tolerated when doing business with you. read more

I couldn't have made it through Christmas without the wonderful staff at Shirley's Flowers and Sweets! From Kissing Balls to the Wreaths and Pointsettias...my house was decorated beautifully! I was able to pick up last minute chocolates and stuffed animals for my nieces and nephews and Shirley helped send an arrangement to my Grandmother! This local flower shop is no small time store...they amaze me with what they can do! While I was sending my flowers to my Grandmother a bride and her bridesmaids just walked in and they took the time to set up flowers for a wedding for over 300 people! I know I have recommended them before...but I have never had a bad experience at this shop. read more

I received a flower arrangement from Shirley's from our San Francisco daughter who is sad we will not be together for Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, the arrangement is unacceptable. The roses are withered and brown around the edges, Astromeria is unopen and crinkled leaves look messy, no symmetry, and there are 3 cheap, wrinkled fake orange leaves just stuck in. I called Shirley's and they admitted they made some "substitutions" due to some of the flowers in the arrangement she ordered being unavailable. They said I could bring it in and they would re-do it. Really? With Covid, I would not consider this option. I requested that our daughter receive a refund and, of course, not an option because she used a 3rd party online ordering website. They would not tell me which one or I would call them myself. I will lie to our daughter and tell her the flowers were beautiful because she would feel terrible. Meanwhile, her $75 gift is money down the drain. I will never do business with Shirley's. Save your money and buy much better flowers at Trader Joe's. read more

Flower shop told the sender that they were delivered the day before they actually were. The white roses were browning the baby breath one or two were broken. There was also no water in the vase when they left them on my desk. The sender called them they are replacing but from the person that received these flowers yes they are pretty if you can over look the browning. to me this was poor customer service 1. for saying they had been delivered making me look ungrateful for not saying thank you and 2. for leaving browning flowers and 3. leaving flowers for someone with no water in the vase...I have to wonder how long these roses had no water. read more

It was a beautiful yellow and white bouquet, arranged. And the flowers were so fresh, they lasted for over a week. Unimpressed with Shirley's customer service. I had a bad experience with an on line florist (that looked like a local florist shop) and I called to tell her about this company and warn her from working with them (Avas Flowers). She never once apologized that my order was not what I had ordered or paid for, but explained in detail how these comapnies work. It's good to know and all that, but really it was "all about her". I will seek out local florists in the future (even though it looked like a local florist on line, it wasn't) but I won't use her shop. As the previous reviewer said, she's grumpy. Who needs it? I'm buying flowers, not heating oil. I want it to be a pleasant experience, and it wasn't. read more

She told me she was happy to fulfill the order I had placed, but that some one else had just ordered that exact arrangement to be sent to my friend. I always use Shirley's. Not because I always have either. I used a certain shop at the top of Main Street for years but had to leave because of HIGH prices and LOW quality. I have used several other shops in Nashua as well but am very satisfied with Shirley's. Quick delivery, long lasting product at fair prices (if any flower shop has fair prices) and a nice candy counter with fantastic truffles. Tried a local place, got a major disappointment. I ordered flowers for my sister this past Friday, to be delivered on Saturday. Saturday comes, no flowers, and a dissapointed sister. I call them up late Saturday to find out what was going on, only to find they closed mid day. Terrific. Monday morning, a lovely bouquet was delivered with no explanation. I call them up to ask what was going on. I got a woman on the phone who CLEARLY needs to take customer service lessons. She tried to write off the non deliver on Saturday as due to excessive heat. When I asked why I wasn't notified that they weren't going to deliver, she couldn't explain. When I asked why they delivered it on monday and left it on the doorstep (same instructions as Saturday) when it was equally as hot on Monday, again, no explaination. No offer for refund, only to call my sister and grudgingly apologize. Am now madder than a hornet and will tell my friends and neighbors to take their money and choose a different florist. There are plenty in the Nashua area, and Shirley's doesn't deserve the business with that attitude... read more
