YUCK! I just got some chicken schwarma sandwiches and I am not at all happy with them. Chicken does not taste like what I am used to and way too much garlic spread. I wanted to try somewhere new for some Mediterranean food and ended up in disappointment. I ordered a carryout of a fattoush salad, side of garlic and a side of pickled turnips. In my carryout request, I asked for no toasted pita in the salad. The salad had the most toasted pita in it that I've ever encountered. It wasn't a huge deal because I picked it out, but strike 1 for not following customer order requests. Strike 2- The garlic spread was awful. So spicy I could not even enjoy it. Usually, the more garlic the better but the balance was so off I'm sure people could smell my breath from miles away. Strike 3- The pickled turnips. Absolutely horrible. I LOVE pickled turnips and order them every time I am at an establishment such as this. It was obvious they were made wrong and not pickled for long enough. Love this place! Really quality meat, chicken, tons of it seasoned beautifully. Fresh vegetables. The prices are unbelievably good. $4.75 for a shawarma? the only thing that surpassed my meal tonight was the excellent service we received. I ordered the schwarma combo while some of the rice was a touch under cooked the chicken was seasoned deliciously and cooked beautifully. The lentil soup was also seasoned well. This place has plenty of dishes to choose from with many vegan options. Mediterranean food is typically priced higher than other places and this place was lined up with what you would expect at a place like this, however they have great lunch specials and wraps that are decently prices.Good portions, served quickly, and great service. read more

So, at first the experience didn't go too well... the server didn't bring me drinks or anything as I waited and waited and looked around. I was the only table in the restaurant. But as I went to leave, The guy literally came to my car and asked to serve me, he was very polite and kind. I've been here before the food is delicious and I really appreciate his work ethic and his strive for service. I am a server, so I really look and pick apart everything. Hydare, request him. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. As for the other waitresses that took their sweet little time, they shouldn't be serving because they absolutely suck at it. I have eaten the Sish Kabob Express on Gratiot just north of Metro Beach Parkway, on the N/W corner. The food is delicious, freshly cooked, with ample serving sizes, and not just reheated like some mid-eastern places. The salad was great too. I would recommend the place. read more

Lots of vegan options and a knowledgeable waitress to consult with. She took the time to check with the cook when she wasn't sure if something had dairy in it or not, which we appreciated. Great place for lunch, light meal and very fast. They apparently do not use MSG in their chicken and I've asked multiple times, which is a plus. Service is friendly and quick. I've never had their smoothies but I've seen them made with fresh fruits and vegetables. She placed me on hold and a few minutes later someone else came on the phone to greet me. Okay, I guess I have to place my order all over again. Finally my order is in. I rarely ever leave reviews on Yelp but, this time I just couldn't help it. I spent $62 here and the food wasn't even close to being good. The kufta (ground beef) was soooo salty. They must have a new chef, because the food now is delicious. It was always ok before, but they've kicked up the level of flavor. On their sampler platter, they added more meat. They even ask how you want it cooked, and they cooked it perfectly medium as requested. It was delectably juicy! Speaking of juices, their eye opener juice is my favorite! read more

I've been to different Shish Kabob's around the metro Detroit area and the food at this one is the most interesting. I ordered the Veggie Ghallaba and it had a limited amount of veggies, heavy on the pickles in addition to being over seasoned. I had to discard it because the flavors were so robust it didn't taste well. The pita was very hard which was also sad. Overall the staff was nice and the food was mediocre. read more

Uggghhhh....I usually order from the Southfield location but I did not want to drive super far. The food is not that great. Everything was bland. I ordered my beef n lamb medium and it was cooked well, but still dry. I hate that I wasn't given any garlic sauce even thou I ordered a double kabob plate and a kabob sandwich? The young lady said they only give it with chicken entrees. Other than that, you would have to pay for it. My pita bread was dry and overcooked. The French fries were disgusting, and I only received one small slice of pickle with my entree. I chose the lamb chili which tasted burnt and the spices were completely overwhelming. I did, however, enjoy the baklava. It was sweet n crispy. I wished that I had never wasted my money. If u have never ate there before and want to try it, I recommend dining in.
