Doing a web search, Metro was one of many home inspection companies that had a straight-forward website and online booking. However, what set Metro apart from the others is that they listed the available days and time slots that they had inspectors available. They even had the name of the most probable (subject to change) inspector to make the appointment. That was important because I knew when the home we were considering was available to be opened, and I could quickly line up a day/time that worked out for both sides. After the appointment was set, I was called by one of the staff. She called to "talk me out of" the radon and pest inspection services (extra charge) because of the type of home and area it was located, those services were not valuable. The cherry on top was that for the month, they were giving a "gold" discount on the overall cost. Inspection went as planned and I received the final report by the end of the same day. I never had to state that I needed a quick turnaround, but I get the sense they knew based on the dates of our real estate transaction. Just superb service, and really made me feel I could not get as good of a service with any of the other inspection companies I was considering. If we ever buy another property in the metro Boston area, I'm using Metro 100%!

Under such situations, Daniel commented in his report many items as just cosmetic (like a couple of inches terrible patch job on master bedroom drywall), but thanks to his well documentation, we had proof in hand on some damage that had happened after inspection was completed. After looking through the various inspectors on yelp, google and the yellow pages, I came across Bob's site. He has a very interesting proposition, he charges more because he offers more. I was unsure at first, but I booked the appt and used the $30 off coupon mentioned on this site. As soon as he started slowly, calmly and proficiently explaining things in easy to understand English, I know I hired the right guy. The house I was looking at had something called a heat pump never heard of it before either) Bob was not only familiar with it, but was able to detailedly explain the entire chemistry of one. In all I was able to negotiate a additional $700 off the price. After having the inspection done this netted me $300. But even if I hadn't found anything else wrong, Bob's fee would have still been worth it for the vast amount of knowledge that he gave me. Hire him and you'll be writing a similar review.

What I experienced was an inspection that was as meticulous as it was informative, with detailed explanations given as we went along. The written report was detailed and well put together with pictures, diagrams, and explanations, which is refreshing when many other places hand you a few pages of checklists. I would highly recommend Allsafe. They probably saved me about $60k when it was all said and done.
