Now I have been told that I need a root canal and a CT scan, which I have to pay for out of pocket. DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE!!! This dentist is terrible! I spent 37,000.00 to have implants and dentures to have my smile restored after breaking my bridge. I was wrongly informed that I could not have Cubic Zirconia as I had previously had because I was getting implants and removing all my teeth. That's completely false and all lies! Not only did his lousy work fail in 3 years but the first year one of the teeth (front tooth) have to be replaced while I was out of state on vacation... At least one tooth a year would need replacing. After 3 years I replaced both top and bottom dentures after multiple dentists informed me the lab he used produced inferior cheap dentures and I would continue to have multiple problems in the future. That replacement was an additional 6,000.00! Now I am replacing the implants he recommended for implants that the dentures are permanent attached. Why? Because every single time you take the dentures out to clean them it takes great force and weakens the implant post each and every time. The work was pathetic and embarrassing. As a recommendation to anyone seeking a good quality dentist for implant work I suggest you go to Clear Choice Dental Implant Services! I received beautiful permanent dentures for less money than I spent on my first horrible experience with SHODHAN DENISTRY! Here's why: -super clean office -upfront pricing, without pressure or lectures -friendly and competent staff -doctors that care about the quality of their work Recently, I needed a crown put on a molar. After Dr. Shodhan put it on my tooth, it never felt perfect, but it wasn't terrible, so I didn't think of it much. At a subsequent check-up, the doctor noticed that I seemed sensitive on that tooth and and took a closer look. He wasn't happy with the fit and insisted on replacing it, at no charge to me. I am new to the area was nervous about going to a new dentist because I needed a lot of work done. I picked this place because I had a good feeling about it and as soon as I walked in the door I knew I made the right decision. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and were able to get me in quickly when needed. The office is very clean and modern and also surprisingly relaxing for a dentist. It put me at ease immediately. Dr. Shodhan is very kind and has a very calming demeanor. I ended up getting a root canal with a crown and also a dental implant. I never felt judged or embarrassed, he gently examined me and then explained treatment options and gave me the prices up front. I felt no pain through any of the procedures and Dr. Shodhan is very gentle. I am SO HAPPY with his work, my crown looks so natural and beautiful, better than I expected. He charged me exactly what I expected to pay for the procedures I needed (I had called around to compare prices) and I am happy to pay because his work was so great and the overall experience was very positive. Needed to replace two adjacent crowns that broke. Shopped around and received cost estimates from local dentists. Only two of the three offered free consultations, the other required a "new patient" fee (included cleaning & x-rays). Visited Dr. Harin Shodhan in his Palm Springs location. He took many x-rays, closely examined the broken crown stubs and then provided his price (which was the lowest of the three I had received). He also reviewed all the full-mouth x-rays with me. The entire consultation visit, including x-rays, was made at no charge. I subsequently made an appointment with Dr. Shodhan to have the two crowns replaced. He did an excellent job and I've been quite satisfied with my new crowns and his work. Shodhan Dentistry has offices in both Desert Hot Springs and Palm Springs. The dental work required two visits (one in the Palm Springs office and the second in the Desert Hot Springs Office) in September, 2017. Both offices are extremely clean, quiet and staffed with friendly personnel. Second Review. In October a tooth supporting a bridge cracked and the bridge came loose. Once again I visited Dr. Harin Shodan. He took additional mouth x-rays of the side of the face where the bridge had been and learned the cracked tooth could not be saved. He pulled the tooth and then did prep work for a longer bridge to cover the two-tooth gap. In order to accommodate my needs he came into his Palm Springs office on a Saturday morning and performed the work (two hours in the dental chair for me). The new bridge was ready in about two weeks and was installed more than a week ago. Today I had a free follow-up visit and informed Dr. Shodhan that the bridge felt fine, no problems had been noted and that I was extremely satisfied with his work. He reminded me that all his work is guaranteed and to immediately see him should I encounter difficulties with either the new bridge or his previous crown work. I am completely satisfied with Dr. Hari Shodhan's work and definitely recommend him and his offices. Note: I had intended to post this as a second review. Dr shodhan recommended I have a full upper denture and a bottom denture also. I told him I wanted pain meds. He gave me 2 pills. One for when I got there and the other one he administerd himself. It eas so painful my husband said be could her me screaming. The dentures hurt immediently. I kept returning and one time waited. Over 45 min. I told him I was unhappy and he seemed very insulted and said "I am not your slave". I still have the dentures I hate them. Shame on these dentist brothers for trying to scam low income people. I went in because I have a broken rear molar that needs to be pulled because it's severely irritating and cutting into the side of my tongue. The dental assistant took a bunch of X-rays (some of which she had to take over because she screwed something up), and I then waited in the chair about 15 minutes for the dentist (one of the Shodan brothers - not sure which one) to arrive. He told me that I would have to wait 3 or more weeks for Denti-Cal to approve the tooth extraction (even though I considered it to be an emergency) and that I had 3 cavities that needed to be filled. But the most egregious thing was that he informed me that I needed a deep cleaning (which apparently Denti-Cal doesn't cover), and he said I could apply for credit (another scam?) So I hesitantly said ok and he brought me a form to fill out. He then came back a few minutes later and told me that my application was denied. So I asked him how much a deep cleaning would cost if I paid cash, and he told me $800! Seriously, WTF? I guess I haven't been to a dentist for a while, but I've never heard of a cleaning costing more than $100 or so. I told a friend of mine who used to live in Desert Hot Springs about this, and she said that they told her the same thing when she went in for an exam a few years ago. She said she then went to another dentist in Palm Springs and he did a normal cleaning which cost far less. One the plus side, the inside of the building is very nice and they have big screen TV's in the dental treatment rooms - I suppose that's a small expense to them considering their exorbitant prices. I would avoid this place unless you want to be grossly overcharged. read more

I was apprehensive about Dr. H. Shodhan doing three implants for me when I read some of the reviews. After the first implant, I was allergic to the antiobiotic and had terrible stomach pains but I called Dr. Shodhan when away from home and he immediately returned my call and prescribed another antiobiotic and gave me his cell phone if any more problems. The other two implants went smoothly and I informed him of my time schedule and he accommodated me. I would recommend having a pain medication available immediately after the implants as I suffered for two hours waiting for the pharmacy to fill it. I would recommend Dr. H Shodhan as he is gentle and very informative on what procedure he was doing or about to do. read more

My first visit, YES I was in pain they were able to see me that day and releaved my pain. THANK YOU ! Dr. H and Dr. K evaluated my mouth came up with a plan and a amount. Yes, it was a bit of $$$$ but they also offered to help me apply for a Health credit card and it was zero interest over a 2 year plan, with that solution now I can fix my smile.
