There is a good amount of clearance stuff though which is kind of nice because what we shop for isn't want is sold out here. People can be sketchy at this mall, but just keep to yourself and not make too much eye contact it's fine. They have a backstage up stairs which is kind of like their clearance center. As long as your expectations are low with customer service this place will work if you need to find some thing and happen to be in the area.

One could always find beautiful coats. As a child my mother would take me there when Hudson's didn't have what we wanted. Anyway, looking for a simple black dress for layering, I went to several area stores and found nothing. I decided to stop into Burlington. While there basically were no dresses, I did find lots of black pairs of pants and skirts. I also noticed plenty of body care items, tchotchkes, purses and handbags. I also noticed many men in their section, which was seemingly fully stocked with items. In general, the store was no where near as stocked with goods or filled with customers like it once was, but I will definitely put it back in my rotation and shop there during times where I'm not looking for anything specific, but just want to be surprised.

There were 14 registers available, yet only two were open. I waited in line for nearly an hour to make my purchase, which is simply unacceptable. During the wait, a customer behind me politely called out to the cashiers, asking if additional registers could be opened. The employees looked at him but completely ignored his request without offering any response or acknowledgment. A simple explanation or courteous reply would have demonstrated respect for the customers who were waiting. Another customer at the front of the line eventually left without making a purchase because he had already been waiting for over 20 minutes and could not wait any longer. In addition, the candy display in the checkout area was in very poor condition. Many of the hanging display rods were empty, while candy packages were scattered across the bottom shelf and floor, making the area appear disorganized and poorly maintained. I would recommend that this location consider opening more registers during busy periods, creating an express checkout lane for customers with five items or fewer, and providing better customer service by acknowledging and communicating with customers when delays occur. Unfortunately, this experience has left a very negative impression, and I do not plan to shop at this Burlington location again.
