When into this location for an exchange of shoes purchased for my niece in Texas. Was greeted by Drew upon entering the store, advising him of the same. He directed me to the rear of the store to the kids section. When I went to an associate to get the price on a shoe that was not marked, he was in conversation with another associate about a work related issue. For a brief moment I didn't think he was assisting me as he typed on his device. Just as I was preparing to question this, he pointed the device at the box to scan it. I was able to exchange one pair for the larger size. The other pair was not available. My mom was able to locate a pair for a slightly higher price. The line moved quickly with several people ahead of me. The young lady who assisted me was very personable and professional. The exchange was handled seamlessly. read more

As an Oregon native Nike has a special place in my heart. So we stopped by to check out what a 'Community Store' entails. The staff was over the top friendly loved that! The most unique offering was refurbished and slightly irregular shoes. I picked up a gift for my nephew and daughter while I was there. Super great deals for Nike shoes. They even had an extra 35% off all shoes and most clothing items when I stopped in again. I got really nice Nike Free Run's for $35, perfect every day shoes. The last time I was in here I got newer learher Huarache Air's that cost $120 for $60, and got the other new huarache's only for the same price. They made a different style of the shoe recently, but I was excited to find that even those were on sale. There is a huge sale rack against the back wall in the women's section in the basement. I found shoes for more than half the price, without the added 35% off. I even found newer in style shoes for a cheaper price than other Nike stores. read more

I've been here twice. Not necessarily for sneakers, but more apparel. Before the winter hit, I stopped by to purchase a nice fitting sweat pants for ultimate comfort and swag. Much respect to this store. Ever since the pandemic, I've been observing how disciplined stores are. If their employees are wearing masks properly. If anybody says anything about the undisciplined patrons with the nose hanging out the top their masks. I'm a social distance kind of guy. I don't care who you are or where you are in life. Please respect my 6 feet of separation. An employee mentioned to the lady in front of me that she was in between two stickers and is effing everybody else up with their selfishness. There is a whole lot of sale and great deals in the basement of this store! All the Nike T-shirt's were on sale for $7.99 today and there was 30% off everything downstairs!!! (That means the T-shirt's were $5.50!!!! Even the cashier was surprised!) The girls all bought shoes from the basement as well... one pair hat were originally $100 were $20 after all the discounts. I don't know if the sales are always there but it's ten days before Christmas right now so the timing is amazing! read more

This is a great addition to the downtown setting of Detroit! This is almost like your typical Nike Store, but this one does have 2 floors. Men's and kids are on the first floor and women's is all down stairs. This store does have special Detroit themed merchandise. Detroit Nike shirts, Tigers, and Spartans. They would be 5 stars, but I feel like they should have more Detroit themed clothing. This location is right on Woodward, so it's in a good spot and right by other clothing stores. I visited the new Nike store that recently opened on Woodward. It's in a prime location, right in the heart of downtown. When I walked in I was greeted by a greeter who have me a brief overview of the store's 3-story layout. Everything inside was new and shiny and the shelves and racks were stuffed to the brim with a variety of selections. There was a large display in the middle of the main floor of locally inspired sportswear. I headed to the lower level to check out the women's department. There were athletic clothes, bags, accessories and shoes galore. Many shoes were even marked on sale. If you were unable to find what you were looking for, there was a large, touch screen interactive station that allowed you to search and order online. So so happy Nike decided to set up shop in Detroit. I'll definitely add this store to my list of favorite places to shop for athletic gear! read more

I had box, receipt everything that was needed and because I used PayPal they refused to process my return at the store. So be careful if you shop online and think you can return in store like any other store would do!!! I've never had a problem doing this I'm a huge online shopper and frankly if they would carry this stuff at this particular store I would have purchased here. The problem is that this is a dressed up version of an outlet store! They do not carry current items like a real Nike store does. I enjoyed this store! Stopped in here on a Friday evening around 7pm. The place was packed! Many employees on the floor helping but not many working the fitting rooms. I had to find someone to let me into a fitting room. When I got into the room the amount of clothes hangers etc laying around was bad. Had to walk around them like land mines on the floor. I was pleased with the college gear they had and shoe selection was pretty legit. Was also glad to see they had a sale wall. At a high peak time (Friday at 7pm) with a packed store, the registers were not moving quickly. I waited about 20 minutes in line with only about 7 people in front of me. Even with a few setbacks with the fitting room condition and the long wait to pay - I'll be back. read more

Not quite an outlet and definitely not another Chicago style Niketown. I gave the Nike Detroit store a high rating because each time I go in the store I end up walking out with a fantastic deal. You need to make sure you dig through all the racks and go up and down every shoe aisle but you're sure to find something. I think it's great that the company moved into the city and it's a great opportunity for both parties to play off of each other's strengths. Keep an eye out for the exclusive Detroit Nike city shirts! Most recently I picked up a Team USA Olympic Dri-Fit shirt for only $5. Not sure if today was just a good day for them or what, but every last employee that I came in contact with during my visit showed the utmost level of courteousness and professionalism. I ordered shoes from the Nike.com site yesterday, received them today, but they were a tad too big so I returned them there, after calling them to see if they had the same shoes in stock. The man with whom I spoke over the phone named Anthony, who was super polite and helpful, informed me that although they didn't have that exact thing in stock on location, that they would order it for me and have it shipped to my address. Once I arrived, the store was packed (it's located right in the heart of downtown Detroit), however all the Nike athletes were calm, helpful, and patient. They got me in and out and handled business, with zenith level customer service and I can appreciate that. read more

It's sad that I have to do this since I'm a pretty die-hard Nike fan, but this was a pretty disappointing store. I was really excited to come here since it's right in the heart of Detroit and it's now one of the only three Nike stores in Michigan and it's the only one that isn't an outlet store. Despite the fact that it has multiple floors, there wasn't much in stock at all. They had a small Michigan/Michigan State section and a few Nike Detroit shirts which were cool, but the rest was pretty generic. They didn't have any new shoes or any other team gear. Also, I was in there for 20 minutes and the workers were pretty much just talking among themselves, the one question I asked they didn't know the answer to so... I'm pretty sure Howell outlet store has more stock (maybe not new stock, but in general there's more variety), and the Auburn Hills location definitely has more attentive workers. But there's a lot of potential, I think if there's more traffic and more experienced workers and they get newer stuff, it'll be great. read more

I came here to return a too big Lions jersey and repurchase in a smaller size. I was greeted at the door and I asked to be directed to the adult jerseys. To my surprise I was told they do not carry them there. I got in line anyways since I'd gone to the trouble of parking and walking here. When I got to the cashier I was happy to find out they would take back my jersey and re-order the correct size and have it sent to my house for free. So props for that. After my transaction I spent some time looking around. I thought the merchandise was nice, most things were on sale, so while no great bargains, if you wanted something Nike, it was a good time to get it. I asked to use the restroom, they actually called downstairs and had someone escort me there because they keep the door locked. I understand - stores have problems with shoplifting and vagrants - so I was not insulted and appreciated the fact that they had a restroom for me to use. I really wanted this place to be awesome; however, after my first visit, I will not be coming back. This type of location is called a 'community store.' It has an outlet feel and not a large variety of active wear. The men's selection is small and unimpressive but there is even less for women there. They do have a large selection of shoes. The workers hover and it feels like their primary goal is anti-theft. When a fitting room was needed, all of the workers disappeared besides the door security. I waited about 5-8 minutes and decided to just leave. If you were hoping for one of those sweet Chicago stores, be prepared to be disappointed. If you wanted to score some discounted Nike apparel or browse some neatly stacked shoes then you'll be fine. I would personally rather order online or try a sporting goods stores like footlocker or dicks. If you go, just set your expectations low. read more
