We were lucky today! Took my 95 year old mother in law on a shoe shopping spree. We needed wide shoes. They had wide shoes! We needed Sketchers. And they had it! Now, drum roll please....we needed 10 wide. They had 10 wide! It's not easy coming across this size and width. Service was super polite and super helpful. If you have regular width size, there are plenty of shoes for you. Brands like Vans, Nike, New Balance to name a few, are available. Husband and I are even more pleased than mama on this after Christmas gift! Located in the Daiso shopping center on Knott and Katella, there are plenty of parking. This is a tough review the young lady who made me the daughter of the owners help me I had to return some shoes because they hurt my feet wearing them for just five minutes around the house. I upgraded to spend over $100 more my choice no problem. This is my second visit to the store and where I will caution everybody is they watch you as if you are a criminal. In addition the gentleman that works there, maybe the owner is so overpowering with his Customer service does not let you touch or look at shoes without him being next to you. I don't need help I'm a grown man I know what shoe size I am. I was there to get some black shoes and he's pulling out navy and other colors when I didn't ask for it. Where do people buy shoes anymore? The closest mall to me is dwindling in stores, Marshalls and Ross used to be my to go for kid's shoes but they've really downsized to adult only. DSW closed many brick and mortars so I was at a loss. We stopped in on the way home since it was on the way. My son tried on 2 pairs and picked the black on black Vans which were priced at $45 & typically run for $60 regular price. Some shoes were full price but I did appreciate they had a huge selection in both brands and colors. I went in today to get some shoes for my son and I and as we are browsing around the employee and the assistant manager were off the bat giving us a judging glances at us. we proceeded to select a shoe we want to try on as we are walking to sit down so my son can try them on the lady is literally stalking us like a hawk like if we are bout to rob the place. She proceeded to ask if we needed help and I snapped and said no we are just looking. He decided that he did not like them so I went to the other side looking for the ones I need for work and was trying them on my son went and tried on a different pair and the assistant went up to him like if he was stealing them and made my 15 yr old very uncomfortable. Mind u he just turned 15 last month and has social anxiety especially when he is judged by the way he looks. I was going to speak my mind to them both but bit my tongue because mY son was there and I don't want him to have a little panic attack. But I'm very furious for the type of customer service they give at this location just because we are Mexican doesn't mean you need to judge. This place is a scam, and the workers watched me like I was a bum ready to steal. I was looking at some converse ( that I usually wear and bought all my life) and they were trying to up charge them like crazy, how are you going to sell 50 dollar shoes for 80 bucks. When the cashier rang us up, they tried to charge $65 and some change. I showed the cashier the signage and pricing, so she got the manager. This is a self serve semi discounted shoe store located in the old Pet City off Knott and Ball, formally located where the new Daiso is. The shopping center is going through a makeover so the parking lot is a mess. When I say self serve, I mean nobody is going to help you, measure your foot or grab a size for you. You will be lucky if they say hello to you, but their eyes will be watching you. I mean seriously, whose going to steal a pair of shoes. Sometimes they offer help and point you in the right direction or department. They have an okay selection with sections organized by male, female snd children offering name brands such as Sketchers, Converse and Toms. And not so name brands like soda and a few others. Their prices on name brand shoes like Toms and Sketchers are hardly discounted. All my Toms Ive purchased here were about $50.00. One pair was a hard to find zebra print pair. They are very cool looking. If your into Converse, they have every color and then some. When your ready to complete your purchase take your shoes to the cashier and give them your cash or credit card and exit through the spinning device. On weekends they offer tent sales with A-okay prices. The beast bought me a new pair of black combat like boots for $19.99, normally $29.99. I had to return them for a bigger size the following week and I had no trouble with the even exchange and no reciept. And by then they were back to $29.99. Their non name shoes can easily be tweeked by adding additional padding or inserts to increase comfort. Shoe City is ok. Just dont expect low prices. read more

So yeah, I forgot my mask and try to be creative by using a my hoodie to cover my face to go in the store. But the lady working in there says NO and kick me out because apparently when my hoodie cover my face meaning they can't recognize me. How bs is this? You can't have a business that still smells like Pet City AND terrible customer service. Pick a struggle. I'm not sure why I continued to come when I know the type of service I receive every time. I came in last week looking for a pair of shoes, upon entering there's 4/5 employees standing leisurely on the side of the cash register. No greeting, whatever, I'm used to it. I walk the half of the store in search of a pair, no one came to ask if i needed anything, which okay, I'm self sufficient; however, I couldn't help but notice how attentive they were to other patrons. After sifting through the shoes & finding what I liked, I go to purchase. There's nobody in line so I walk up to the counter & place my shoes down. She doesn't even look at me, she's looking outside. I say excuse me & she says not now, that she's waiting for a customer outside. okay? mind you the 4/5 employees are still standing right next to the cash register, watching this unfold, the second cash register I can only assume was not in use since she didn't offer to check me out there. the customer comes back in while on the phone (I suppose she was grabbing cash) & she asks the woman who helped her (not the clerk) to find her another pair of shoes. Surely they will check me out? I ask , & no. she says she wants me to wait for the woman to find her another pair of shoes so she can check out???? Went in after a work out to pick up some new kicks. I'm in my mid 40s clean cut and so on. The Guy who is either the owner or manager follows me around the whole time while I was checking out shoes.
