It wasn't cheap but look at that craftsmanship. Well worth the money. Also: took shoes in at 3pm, they were done the next morning.

My Ferragamo's were on life support when I brought them in to Shoe Hospital at about 1:15 pm today. Flash forward to about 5:15 pm, and as you can see, they look brand new. Thank you guys, I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the city. You have a customer for life.

I bought a pair of cowboy boots not too long ago, the tread was almost nonexistent and I kept slippin and sliding. While visiting a job site I stumbled across this place on the way back to the car, stopped in the next day with my boots and asked if they can tread them. All I had to do was pick between two options that would work on the boots and they said I could pick them up anytime after 2 pm. With the work schedule I have that wasn't gonna work, ended up picking them up 2 days later and couldn't be happier. Tread was cut to fit perfectly and shaved at the back to match the contour of the boot heel. Total price for a re-tread and light cleaning $58 They were really friendly and accommodating, store was clean and the frontage was historic and well kempt. I'd highly recommend a visit.

Sloppy cement job, loose threads, side of rubber sole painted over with white paint, white paint smudges on leather, sloppy sewing job

Shoe hospital did an excellent job resoling and polishing two pairs of Gucci loafers. I will definitely go back!

I walked in, told the man working the problem and he fixed my heel in literally, 5 minutes while I sat there!

We've been going to Gus for at least 10 years to refresh, repair, and polish our shoes. He does a…read moregreat job to keep our well-loved, high-end shoes looking good so that we can keep using them. From re-soling Bally loafers and Louboutin heels, adjusting the fit, fixing rips in the heel of stilettos, repairing and polishing purses, replacing a metal shank in a pair of sandals - we've used a lot of his services. While it's not inexpensive, you get what you pay for and I'm glad to not spend a lot more for a new pair of shoes that then needs to be worn in.

would not recommend this place. The employee was rude and unprofessional. Did a sloppy job…read morere-lining my sandals - the leather was pretty crooked. It lacked craftsmanship. I went back to have it re-done and he somewhat fixed it. Started walking in them and noticed one shoe started squeaking extremely loudlyly when it didn't before - the air was coming in and out of the sole because he did not seal the leather properly. Sounded like a tire pump as I was walking around. NOT a cute sound. Came in a second time and explained this to him and he didn't want to hear it. Blamed it on the weather that it was wet outside and I kept telling him that it was like that even when it was dry out, and he kept ignoring me. Pretty rude and refused to fix it even if after I offered to pay more to have it redone again... I never write poor reviews but the customer should always be right and he was unprofessional and rude in my opinion.
