Writing this review was a long time coming!!! I've been a customer with SHOEINN for a couple years now and I've always been able to find just the right thing for any occasion. I started off shopping here only when visiting town but now I am a true regular....... If Im confused about how something fits me, need advice on finding the right shoe for an outfit, or need a shoe specially-ordered, the girls here always go above and beyond to make sure customers leave satisfied with their purchase. After leaving the store today having made yet another purchase, I was actually given a discount from their rewards system I've racked up over the years....! So I thought what better time to write a review than now.......especially after seeing these old reviews about the store . Terrible with returns ... Shoes are defective ..... I purchased shoes, and wore them only three times before they ripped. The Store manager insisted on repairing the shoes even though I continued to ask for a new pair. I finally agreed to the repair I didn't get the shoes back for over a week Finally, I got my shoes back, wore them one time and the shoes ripped again (after wearing them only two hours). When I went back to the store a second time, the manager, once again refused to give me my money or to give me a new pair Basically, I spent $200 on summer shoes and wore them four times all summer The issue remains unresolved read more

Terrible. Buyer beware. They had a "storewide sale." Sale excluded all accessories and slippers (Ugh) and also items with a "blue sticker " were excluded. So O bought a handbag and ugg slippers tha came to 400.00. All good so far. I also found a nice comfortable pair of leather black shoes. The saleswoman was nice and told me I was buying one item that was included in the sale. I was happy! She went to grab my size. Unfortunately my size was out of stock. No worries, she said. We can order it and have it here in 2-3 days and we will still honor the 30% off sale (regular price 350.00). I said, okay and gave my telephone number. Two days later I got a call that my shoes were in ((perfect timing for my evening event that coming weekend). I scheduled the time in my workday to go and pick up the shoes. The salesperson got the shoes in the stockroom and at the register she apologized, "im sorry these are excluded from the sale." I explained the story and she said, "It was a misunderstanding." Poor! Shoe inn has been extremely helpful since I placed my order for the sneakers I love. I was mad but I can't stay away! They have amazing products that you don't find anywhere else and they are on the expensive side and I don't agree with the return policy but I hope that you will understand that there is room for error and I made mistakes. They made mistakes, but I want to move on and friendly relationship because I do want to shop there.! read more

If if I can give it ZERO stars I would!!! . I decided to shop local versus shopping big box stores for my shoes. Never again! Or at least never from here again!! At least big box stores display and are very forthcoming with their policies versus changing them on a whim. I decided to use my store credit to purchase one of their shoes and was told that the credit expired. Nowhere on the receipt is that stated, nowhere in the store is it posted, it's not even posted on their website. I think they decided that it is more profitable to keep my money rather than honoring the credit that was given. I Received the runaround for months over some "expired store credit " I've never heard of store credit expiring,.... Unless if a store was in liquidation in which case -it is not. I Called customer service number numerous times and haven't received a phone call back. I even sent a very detailed email and have not received any response back. I'm being blown off because this store does not care about its customers. This is unacceptable because they have my money and refuse to either let me pick out a product for it or reimburse me. read more

Came to store with friend and this place is great! Lots of booties-flats-and sneakers. My friend left with 3 pairs of shoes. Person helping was super friendly and was willing to call other stores to check on sizes/colors. read more

The customer is always right is a motto this branch of this store very clearly does not live by. My mom bought me a leather bag from this store for the holidays. After about a week of normal use, it started to fall apart at the seams. So I brought it back. My mom bought it on sale, so it was final sale. But it was crumbling in my hands, which was completely absurd. I have never been to a store that won't accept a return like that. They offered to pay for the repairs, which seemed nice at first. But then they made my mother and I run around Ridgewood looking for someone to repair it and getting estimates (in below freezing weather). The bag is so awful it would cost more to repair it than it cost to buy it. When we told this to the (unbelievably rude and disrespectful) manager, Kim Colletti, she laughed in our faces. She told me that it was because my purse was too heavy and that it was my fault. My purse is barely half full and only has a few things in it. My purse before this was $8 and from Kohl's and lasted months longer with the same contents, by the way. She told us we could bring this up with her district manager, and went back on break. I have never encountered such rude service, and this is all ignoring the absurdly overpriced merchandise. I'm waiting to hear back from the other manager, and I will update accordingly. I would honestly recommend never stepping foot in this nightmare of a store. read more

Today I tried to return a pair of shoes that i wore one evening that were the most uncomfortable (even though I was sitting down) shoes I have had in a long time. They were a wedge and should have been comfy (and were when I tried them on in the store)had the elastic straps not starting digging into my skin after a bit of time on my feet. They are unwearable. I was told that in spite of the fact that I had spent $837 that day on two pairs of shoes and a bag that they would not take them back...here are quotes from the staff...."we are a small business" "we cant eat a $275 dollar purchase" {they have 9 stores} "it is not our problem if they are uncomfortable..." The stores tag line should be...Shoe Inn where customer satisfaction is not our problem. When i asked to have the owner call me the manager said..."he won't call you". I guess the bad attitude comes from the top....and the stupidity too..... Needless to say I returned the other unworn items I purchased that day and won't be going back there anytime soon...or ever read more
