One again, LA Leather Cleaners has come through! This little number is a one of a kind suede mini skirt and it was absolutely filthy when I brought it in. There was outright dirt from accidental rubbing against dirty cars; green tarnish had transferred to the suede from the brass nailheads that embellish the front and back. I figured there was no way they'd be able to bring it back but then I thought, anything they can do is better than nothing. In less than a week they hooked my skirt up bringing it back to beauty!! I have posted a previous review for a light gray leather jacket that I brought in after traveling (it was a mess) on which they also worked a miracle. The lady who worked the counter (and also on my skirt) is very kind and professional in letting me know what to expect but as before with my gray jacket, I knew I was in good hands. After seeing my skirt, I seriously wanted to hug her but thought that might seem a little weird! I brought two new suede jackets in for a consultation on how to protect them from stains, etc. The woman I spoke with was extremely knowledgeable, and explained that, in general, suede should not be sprayed with a protective coating beyond whatever the manufacturer may have already applied to it. Honestly only giving one star because the front desk lady was very sincere however the tailor has a nasty attitude and wasted 40 mins of my time pinning my pants before turning me away after I came back to be serviced because he was late to work. I came into this cleaners to get my pants altered which he quoted me $150 that price seemed a bit steep however I am always willing to pay for exactly what I want! He manipulated the pant a few times still not giving me the look that I wanted. I soon realized he was one of those tailors that would not hear the customer out if he felt it would not look right. How can you tell me how I would prefer my clothes to fit? My request was tighter around hips and buttocks and leave the legs baggy. He kept saying it will not look right. I brought a leather jacket I haven't worn in years and it was very moldy. I called and asked for a quote and I was told $65. When I arrived I was quoted $75. The mold was completely removed but I noticed the color looked slightly faded. Instead of the original black color it now looked gray black. It's an old jacket so not sure I care but I was a little disappointed. Again not sure if fading is normal when you clean leather especially when you're removing mold. There were still crumbs in the pockets and there was a new mark in green that had not been there otherwise. DO NOT GO HERE. I had a dripped off a beautiful lambkin leather Moto jackets. it just needed some spot cleaning here and there. I got back a jacket that was no longer soft and buttery, the leather shrank a bit, which made the zipper all warped. the hardware is tarnished, and the subtle shine it used to have is now gone. and the spots I asked to clean cleaned are still there. they also ruined a Givenchy leather top I dropped off. there was a crack in the leather. their female staff was RUDE. she kept talking over me and raising her voice to try and shut me up. I basically paid nearly $180 dollars to have two of my most loved leather pieces RUINED. its also super obvious that they didn't even bother to condition the leather. I could have gotten the same result if I had just thrown them in the washing machine, that's how bad it is now. read more

I cannot recommend this company more! I was panicking after I spilled a jar of coconut oil onto my new tan leather couch. The stain was about 6 inches long, and very dark and visible. It was also complicated because the couch doesn't have cushions--it's one large piece of leather, meaning the cushion couldn't be removed for cleaning. I emailed a photo of the stain to Amir and he was quick to talk to my on the phone that same day to let me know what they could do. I had bought a brand name white bag from a thrift store and decided to take it to the dry cleaners due to the insane amount of in, nail polish, makeup, pen, and liquid foundation that was covered inside the bag. The outside of the bag had minor orange stains and scratches. I decided to take it here in LA leathers dry cleaners because it's near my home. When I came back one part of the bag was very very clean and removed a lot of the makeup and stains, the other side of the interior bag still has stains and makeup stains inside the pocket area. The vet nice korean lady told me it would take 15 days to clean the whole bag and that they would try to take all of the stains out. Well the first half of the makeup was gone but the other half is still visible and they didn't even bother checking the pocket areas cause it's still stained dirty. The bag was initially white, and somehow ended like a light beige color????? Don't think white and light beige are the same but overall the $60 for an okay job is okay on the price age. I had ruined one of my favorite beige suede jackets traveling - it got a sticky material on the front which was made worse by my shoe repair person who tried to fix it (but didn't have the expertise). He made it worse by taking out the original dye/color, putting on harsh chemicals and deepening the stain. But LA Leather cleaners did the impossible and made my jacket wearable again!! This company is great with leather. However they are deeply dishonest when it comes to actually dry cleaning your clothes. I brought in my wife's wool Aran sweater that was purchased during our wedding in Ireland. I asked for it to be dry cleaned. They washed and dried it. The sweater ended up being shrunk two sizes and was all matted up. I should have stopped using them right then and there but I didn't. I brought them a $200 Kahala special edition Hawaiian shirt. I asked that they dry clean that as well. They didn't. They washed it and it too shrunk. This was a shirt that was loose on me prior to bringing it in. You can not trust them to dry clean your stuff when you ask them to. If they deem your clothes washable, then that's what they do. They are horrible. read more
