My husband and I arrived 15 minutes before closing, already knowing which shoes we wanted to see. A young male employee approached us and rudely asked what we needed. Despite his attitude, we politely asked to see the shoes. He returned with a box and said, "Here," but when my husband opened it, it was the wrong pair. My husband approached him and said, "Excuse me, we wanted to see this shoe," and the employee responded with, "IT'S THE SAME STYLE?!?!" My husband replied, "No, it's not," and showed him the difference. The employee then began to apologize, saying he didn't know. My husband told him that if he didn't want us there, he could've just said so, and if he didn't want to help, then he shouldn't have offered. This employee should not be working in customer service. We came in ready to buy three pairs, but because of the poor service, they lost our business--and earned this review instead. To the store manager: Please let this employee know that good service goes a long way. We've shopped here before and had a much better experience. This review isn't meant to bash the store, but to point out that the wrong employees can seriously damage the reputation of a small business.

The clearance rack was great that I had the intention of purchasing one pair and ended up with three pairs. I do prefer shopping here on the a weekday because it's less busy. On Saturday, it was super busy that I waited a while to get my size. Although the attention of the staff was here and there, they were all very nice when they finally gave me their attention.

The guy at the front also tried to sign me up for notifications for the jacket when I asked about restocks. He checked, but Adidas had taken the page for it down entirely. I think my husband and I have both worn Vans at some point in our lives, but we are no longer in the target demographic. The store was big and well stocked, though, probably a good place to try on whatever Vans merchandise tickles your fancy. Our sons headed straight for the kids section in the back, where there were lots of clothes and shoes on display for children of all ages. Ours are two and four, and they treated the Vans store like their own private playground, stomping around, rolling on the floor, and honest-to-goodness shopping for shoes. My older boy Leo B. was immediately taken with the sparkliest pair in the store, classic slip-ons covered in pink glitter. We suggested a few alternatives, in case he wasn't going for such a strong look, but he knew what he wanted. Naturally, his little brother Wade B. asked for the same ones, but he also wanted the sharks, and the rainbow, and the red ones. He would've changed his mind fifteen times if we hadn't cut him off, and he ended up with his final selection, the Old Skool V Shoes in basic black and white. The sales associate was super obliging through all this, making at least three trips to get sizes for our excitable kids. They didn't even need new shoes!
