This is my third time visiting this Shoe Palace location at Westfield Topanga, and the customer service has been consistently poor every single time. No greeting when you walk in, no one asks if you need help, and the staff stands around like customers are an inconvenience. On this visit, there were multiple employees at the counter, and I had to go out of my way to ask for assistance. When I did, they all looked at each other instead of stepping up. The associate who finally helped me took a long time to bring the shoes, didn't open the boxes, didn't check back, and showed zero effort or professionalism. I ended up leaving everything on the bench and walking out, and once again--no acknowledgment at all. This isn't a one-time issue, this is a pattern. The lack of basic customer service, poor attitude, and overall unwelcoming environment is unacceptable, especially in a retail setting. I will not be returning to this location. read more

Walked in and was looking at shoes not knowing what to get. Stood around for 5 minutes and not one of the 4 people on staff came to ask me if I needed help or any suggestions. One of the employees was even standing at the counter on her phone. Very disappointed. read more

I was helped pretty easily, there a bunch of kids running around waiting to help. But this place had Probably one of the worst shoe sizes selection I've ever seen. For every shoe that I wanted to see they didn't have a size 10. I requested a variety of Nike and New Balances and they didn't have a 10 in anything, With all of the options in the mall I won't return. read more

Just visited the recently relocated store inside the Topanga Mall upstairs by the Target end. Huge store with LOTS of employees. The music was ridiculously loud! That in and of itself a deterrent to shopping in my opinion. But I was with my daughter & she wanted to look. Display shoes placed so high you can't see them to check them out closer and no duplicates placed lower for customers to easily access. Tried to get the attention of several employees for help & they all looked away or literally walked away in order not to help. All young employees, very poor customer service and attitudes! We left and will not be shopping here. Will also tell everyone I know not to waste their time or money in this location. read more

Last week I bought shoes for $65. They ripped 5 days later. I brought shoes back to the store asking for a replacement, not even a refund. Store manager was very rude and refused to replace, he claimed that it was wear and tear and he wouldn't be able to sell them. Of course you can't sell them because they are ripped. Avoid this store and go somewhere else. It's not about the money, it's about customer service and rude store manager that didn't care and made all possible excuses not to exchange for a different pair. Rosemary (store manager) was very helpful and made some great recommendations, eventually finding exactly what we needed in each size we were looking for. Interesting collection of shoes. Can't really describe since they have a lot of different shoes. Customer service doesn't exist, but for their benefit I will say that the store is easy to walk around and prices displayed clearly. Pricing ok. Some very good sales, some average pricing. My opinion is shoe palace worth a visit. They will do better if they would have better service. I'm sure it will increase sales. read more

Topanga Mall girl employee's are super ghetto and rude. Took a return 3 shoes in the box and with a receipt which I had bought three days ago and they were whispering which I heard what they were saying. If they can't afford a lot of stuff at once they expect no one else can. Kept asking if I wanted to exchange for the correct size even thou I had already stated they did not fit and my kids hadn't liked the shoes, I said I would go back with my kids and still then they had there ugly faces mad I was returning. Don't expect to keep customers that way. Need customer service training even thou I'm sure that won't help them. read more

They do not accept returns over $200. The manger Christine asked me to wait until the end of the day and come back to get a refund. I waited in the store for about an hour and she took my number and said she'd call back when she can give a refund. She never called. Anthony the Super Star! Went into the store searching to find a shoe that was both stylish and comfortable for my trip to Las Vegas. After finding the shoe I wanted I asked one of the associates "Anthony" to help me out. He went back to see if he can find me the shoe. He came back and said he had trouble finding the mate of the shoe. He was very friendly throughout the whole situation. And me coming from shoe retail experience I knew things like that happen. He spent time looking for it and got other associates involved. After searching I asked if the Sherman Oaks store had it. He said that Vegas should have it. I was like hey! I'm going there tomorrow! So, I wanted to visit other shoe stores to see if they had that shoe or maybe something better. Turns out I could not find anything I liked. That shoe kind of stuck to me. So I went back to the store and got the address, phone number, and style number. I walked out calling them to make sure they have the pair and I turn around to see Anthony running telling me he found the shoe. I quickly told the associate on the phone that we found it! Went back to the store to complete the transaction and I was very happy of the outcome. Anthony cared and wanted me to have this shoe. This location is a day care with a bunch of kids. Unprofessional!!! Came in to buy some shoes and was somewhat greeted... Then 1 of the kids came up and asked what I needed so I asked for a shoe. After trying on the shoe he came over and asked if it fit, they were too big and I asked for a smaller size. He went and started talking to the other 2 kids behind the counter then started EATING!! Are you serious bruh!?! Finally 1 of them looked over and tried to be nice asking if everything was ok.... at that point I let him know the other guy forgot about my shoe but remembered to eat. Arlexi was a superstar with customer service. She went above and beyond when I needed assistance to help exchange the shoes I really loved. I didn't want to return the shoes that were gifted to me as they were the wrong size, so she called stores for me to help me find the right size and continued to assist me when there was a mishap with another store holding the size for me sold them before I arrived at their store. I hope they have more people like her at other Shoe Palace locations. Thank you Arlexi! read more

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I walked in the store today May 21, 2016 at 11:23 AM. No one greeted me everyone was just standing, doing nothing. I had to ask one of the workers if they had a shoe size and the guy employee I believe his name was Chris, he said no that the shoes on the display were all they. Which didn't make sense because he didn't scan the shoe to see if he had the size I was asking for. Then he walked away and I grabbed another shoe and I said " excuse me" like twice and no one acknowledged me at all. By far this is the worst shoe palace I've ever entered! Shoe palace is a horrible store do order your shoes from. I ordered a pair of $80 Jordan's in March for my 4 year old son and when the package arrived it was empty. I called customer service right away, sent pictures of the empty box and I have been getting the run around ever since. They have yet to call me back, so basically it's like they just took my $80 and gave me nothing for it. I've left several messages, spoken to supposed managers, went into the store and nothing. All I get is a run around from everyone. I will be taking them to court because it's ridiculous that I would get an empty box when I paid $80 for some shoes. Either someone at their warehouse stole my sons shoes or the person they had deliver my shoes. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!! DO NOT ORDER OR BUY SHOES FROM SHOE PALACE!!!
