He told her he was there for new shoes but did not know his size, so she took him over to measure his feet and figure out the right fit. I know she could not see me (my vehicle has tinted windows), so this was just Yuri being a thoughtful and attentive person, not someone who was trying to impress a parent. My son's feet are in that awkward in-between stage... too big for kids' sizes, but with limited options in the first size of men's shoes. I walked in just as Yuri had finished measuring his feet and was patiently listening to him explain what kind of shoes he was hoping to find. Every style he liked was unavailable in his size, so each time, Yuri looked it up in the system and then went into the backstock to try to locate it for him. While waiting, my son started (intentionally) sliding around on the floor in his socks like Tom Cruise in Risky Business... and even though I was losing my patience with him, Yuri never did. She stayed kind, polite, and helpful the entire time. Thanks to her, we walked out with four pairs of shoes he liked (instead of the 2 we initially planned on).
