Had dinner with my husband after arriving in town. It was close and conveniently located. We ate about 6ish and I think there were a total of three employees. Lots of standing around. The buffet was OLD. Mondays are manager picks and it was random things. The shrimp were so old and when they brought out fresh I mentioned that what was in there was really old and the staff agreed and proceeded to dump them on top. Salad was good. read more

I ate there because it was a short walk from where I was having my car serviced. The buffet was just OK. I was disappointed.

It actually wasn't too bad, I was surprised. The prices were good and the food was made well! I ordered the hot chicken and it was spicy! It was well prepared and I liked it! We had the worst waitress I have ever had anywhere today at Shoney's Andersonville Hwy. Overcharged for children's drink, charged for an adult. 2 adults at our visit today went without drinks throughout our meal, and the waitress just didn't show up again after that one time. I know being pregnant is hard but when she came to the table that one time she didn't even bother to check if we needed anything and attitude of I don't care. We visit quite often at this Shoney's, it's in our neighborhood. Very disappointed, we have always enjoyed our meal there, but not this time. This waitress was absolutely disgraceful in her demeanor. Sadly enough when we have been in there before we overheard her bad-mouthing not just customers but the other wait staff. Unfornuenty, not an isolated incident. I should have gotten a hold of the manager at that time, but always think everyone has a bad day now and again. But now I realize her attitude and her basic laziness and behavior are who she is and it doesn't matter who anyone else is. She is just RUDE and nasty toward everyone. Absolutely the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Waited in line for hostess to distribute tips. Was seated with coffee and orange juice. The one cup of coffee was good. Potatoes were under cooked, rest of food was cold or had been in warming dish since last week. No check, no refills. 2 more tables seated and breakfast was loudly being changed over to lunch at 10 am. I went to hostess stand and was told that this experience would cost me $22.00. I asked, seriously? Apparently the hostess was also my waitress and took offense. It continued to go downhill from there. I was comped for the experience. Buyer beware. read more

Visited this location on Fathers Day. They said they were giving a Fathers Day deal,what we found out was they had raised the prices for the week. Not sure if the prices will return to normal but this was not much of a Fathers Day deal. Our service was good and our food was good, however, others around us had come in for the "all you can eat specials" only to find out the prices were $3 higher. The service was good but The food was gross-especially considering the price. The bathrooms smelled like sweat.

My husband and I had an early dinner on April 30th. My husband wasn't feeling well. Our waitress noticed that he was I'll and hurried and got our check. She was a wonderful and considerate waitress. I would recommend this Shoneys to everyone. The buffet was very good.the restaurant was clean. I told the cashier that I would review this place and I have. My only regret is that in my haste to leave and get to my husband I didn't leave a tip for my waitress. If I can correct this please tell me how. read more

Very nice servers. Was extremely disappointed with the buffet. The tables were dirty and the restaurant was not clean. The food was terrible. The meat options were cold and dry, hard and cold fish, etc. potato salad had gone bad, the salad was brown. Totally a terrible food experience. read more

20min wait for mustard. Hamburger got cold and the place was empty. It seems the bar was good by the other people at the table who got it. In short, if your eating here get the bar, because the waitress just don't seem to care. All a guy wanted was a little mustard. read more

Okay, it's a Shoneys. It's a little better than some but not as good as the Crossville location. I stopped in today and got the bar, the chicken was not crisp, rather salty and soggy. The cornbread muffins were so dry that they fell apart when I tried to butter it. The corn and greens were good, as were the green beans and Mac n cheese. I got a bowl of potato soup to take back to the hotel for my wife, who wasn't feeling well. It's a shame that the Shoneys chain has lost it. Back in the day they were good, but it's been years since that was the case. I think today was the last straw. No more. read more

This place is pretty standard fare for a Shoney's. The bar is nice if you eat enough to justify the price. Unfortunately, I don't. They actually have a really good burger here, surprisingly enough. Great place to take the family if you have young kids due to the kids menu. Service is mediocre, but good enough. I would recommend. read more

Okay - I know it's a Shoney's but this one is pretty good. It's pretty new, the place is always very clean, and the wait staff has always treated us very well. It's off of I-75 at Exit 122 (Clinton/Norris Exit) just east of the interstate. Best place to sit down and have a meal at this exit unless you want a burger at a fast food place. read more

Zero stars... food was awful, gross, processed crap. The price was $12 for a barely edible breakfast buffet. Service wasn't dynamite either. I will never eat at a Shoney's again, now that I see the quality of food. (And it wasn't the preparation, it's the actual food itself). ZERO STARS but yelp wont post without a star. read more
