Tap selection is limited (half-star deduction) but there is a decent liquor selection. There aren't that many seats, but since this is a local place, they probably have it set up for what they normally need. I noticed the pool table and dartboard in the back. This would be a chill place to catch some football. As far as the food, I was surprised to find that the BBQ is no longer what it used to be. Besides being a limited menu for now, the sauce was much darker and saltier. At least there was plenty of it, and the mac&cheese has improved quite a bit. Then I put in perspective what bar food usually entails, and I realize Side Door actually has it quite good. I want to come back here on a weekend and really take my time to check the place out.
