The best way to describe the crowd here is it is more of like an older rock type of crowd like if my dad and his friends would come here after work lol Everyone seems to keep to themselves and don't bother anyone though. Sunday night, I went on a 1st date and after church, we met up and ended up hanging out all afternoon until midnight! Time flew! Wow! So after chillin at the beach, we got some tea or coffee and because I love playing pool, he suggested this spot! The only thing you have to remember is to bring cash or a bunch of coins...because it's $1 per game or $5 for 6 games and so on. They have an ATM but who wants to pay $3 fees?! There were about 4 tables, I think, with plenty of pool cues and the jukebox was almost always playing something. You can download the app and play your picked songs! (I love country music! So I played some!) The bar tender seemed nice but I didn't drink since I'm doing a 90 day alcohol cleanse/fast! Will most likely be back! read more

It's a bar, not a pool hall. Don't put more than a couple bucks in the table on a weekend. The crowd on weekend nights sucks but is chill other times. Macho douchebags and opinionated women (saying nicely) on weekend nights. That said, drinks are reasonably priced and tables not bad (diamond bar boxes). Balls are not good. I have had a couple bad experiences on weekend nights so I'm done with the place but so long as you know what you're in for, place is probably ok for a dive bar with tables. I haven't seen food but bartenders are nice enough. Like I said, crowd kind of sucks when it gets crowded. If you're not a fan of people, like I'm not, then don't go here when it's crowded.. fight potential is 9/10. I have been all over the country at pool halls and bars and never been so close to getting in a fight as I have here.. twice.. as such, I'm giving it 2 stars when I would probably otherwise go 3 or 4. Jacki is hands down the best bartender I've ever had. Super attentive, sweet, and always makes sure your entire group is having a great time! Bar is clean and the drinks are reasonably priced. I live right next to Hermosa Beach and tend to frequent bars close by but this is a bar I'd be more than willing to make the trek back to. Definitely a local spot but I appreciate that. Place looked clean, I'm 25 years old and was told I can't be in the establishment, but if I wait until 10 most likely I won't get carded. My friend was with Me and handed her his ID and she said yup, looks just like you. I laughed and walked out makes sense why she works from 6-10. Everything happens for a reason, I stumbled upon kits on my way back home, and was greeted with tremendous customer service. The first pool table I played at got jammed and an employee helped me within 30 seconds and the problem was fixed. It's a dive bar and you can meet some interesting characters there. The place was clean, 4 nice pool bar size tables and a shuffle board, good size, looks like it was setup to for some live music. So my reason for giving it 3 stars; bartender was a little strange, he was making strange comments to the guys that were with us..nothing rude just odd. He also continued to make weird comments through out our stay. I went to this bar once and loved it so much we decided to have my wife's birthday party here! Both owners are incredible and insanely nice. The beer is as cold as it gets, the regulars at this dive are actually all very kind, even to a newcomer. It's in HB, a little off the street, 4 pool tables, tons of TV's, DirecTV AND Time Warner so they literally get EVERY game. All other dive sports bars should wish they were as awesome as Shooters. My friends and I stumbled in here after leaving Avec across the way. We wanted to check this place out and maybe grab a shot and use the restroom. I am a lover of dive bars but definitely was NOT feeling this place. It was sketchy as hell and I being a bartender myself and having been in my fair share of sketchy bars... I was scared! We walked in and everyone stared at us... don't know if it was because me and my girlfriend were wearing short dresses and a ton of makeup but hey, we just left the club! Shooter's is a small pool hall with a small bar in it. The major demographic is working class, middle-aged caucasian. I felt awkward at first, but that faded away faster than K-Fed's career. A game of pool/billiards/pocket ball costs $0.75 per game. However, there are some missing balls on certain tables. There are only 4 tables. Never going there again. read more
