Never!!! GO there, especially alone if you're a girl. I take Westminster home and looked up a pool place on yelp. I feel bad writing this for the owners. But they need to know about their employees, and the employees friends. I was the only person in there, for hours. My bill was only $18 and tipped $20. Had a beer and a drink . Had my beats, "head phones" on and did not talk to anyone. I had my purse on the wood shelf by my pool table. I was flying out the next day for my cousins wedding, so had my passport and everything in my purse. I had my grandmas gold chains on and I have nice rings. When people started walking in, I went to close out my tab and head home. Two girls at the bar, I ask to squeeze in and close out my tab. Told a girl her braids were pretty and even offered to buy them a drink, because that's how I am. A bouncer that wasn't there all day, said I had to leave. He said he was going to call the cops if I didn't get in an uber. I called an uber and he was trying to distract me from getting my purse still inside on the table. Wouldn't give me a reason why I was getting asked to leave. Literally did not talk to anyone. I asked for camera footage and said the cameras didn't work. I said I'm getting my purse and I'm calling the cops then too. He is the blonde, cigarette smoking, handle bar, I think kinda mustache and his girlfriend or friends was one of the girls that were complementing me on my jewelry, I offered to buy a drink for them closing out too She had long orange/red hair and was wearing a hat. When I said then I'm calling the cops because he couldn't give me a reason why I was being kicked out. I was sitting down on the cub right out front the door, calling the cops, he told that girl and she walked out, I was blind sided, ripped my phone out of my hand, threw it across my face and knocked out my earrings. I got arrested for trespassing. I was the only paying customer and over paid. Alone, playing pool practicing, with my headphones on, 103 pounds. Was assaulted, tried to steal my purse. And went to jail for not leaving because wanted to know why I was being kicked out. because I kept asking for the cameras and why I was being asked to leave, they arrested me for trespassing It is not a safe place and work together on trying to rob and steal. read more

We came on a Monday night for Labor Day and it wasn't too packed. Typical pool hall with fully stocked bar that plays hip hop from the early 00s to now. Great vibes, clean place, around 8-10 tables to play from, and they do check ids at the entrance because it is 21+ to enter. The crowd was a younger crowd all in their early 20s, but no drama while we were there. Will definitely come again. read more

By far the worst experience!! Bartender Amy ... asked us what when wanted and then let us the our mouth open and walked away to help 3 other people . When given feedback she expressed she didn't care and closed us out with our advising us our bill and no receipt ! Our bill was up charged when asked for a receipt she denied us one . Paid in cash for two margaritas and the bartender "Amy" dropped me an 86$ tab at last call. When I explained that I had already paid in cash for my two margs she told me she never made me margaritas and then explained to me how I must have walked in with my rocks glasses that STILL had ice in them. I love this bar but this chick sucks and clearly has been accused of up charging people. This was 3 weeks ago I've mentioned nothing about it to her. While I was expecting an apology she has actually stopped serving me and completely ignores me now. To the owner of the bar, you need to get a better hold on your bartenders drinking and not let girls like her pocket cash payments so they can get away with adding drinks on peoples tabs. read more

As a black person who has been frequenting The Pen for years along with my friends who are also black, hispanic, and white, I find it appalling that people like Lanna will throw these baseless claims of racism around when I've known these bartenders for YEARS. Not once have I ever experienced anything remotely close to what Lanna B. depicts. Something tells me you did something they didn't like and that says a lot because I've only known them to be great people. They do have low tolerance for rude people, so instead of blaming it on the color of peoples skin why don't you check the integrity of your character. I enjoy this place. There is a large selection of pool tables all of which takes .75 cents per game The staff is very friendly and playful. Alcohol is fairly cheap, pitchers of beer are eight dollars The jukebox at the front also has an app so you can play songs without having to walk over and claim responsibility for your horrible taste in music. I come here often but tonight was terrible. Me and my girlfriend showed up at 1:00 am on a beautiful Friday night, only to have our vibe killed by the older white brunette bartender with the glasses and tattoos. We were sitting at the bar waiting for like 15 minutes trying to politely get her attention so we can get a drink, some guy pulls up next to us and she serves him right away, I was like okay that's chill maybe she can get us after. After she serves him his drinks I say "hey" and give her a peace sign, to which she responds: "if you guys want a drink it's gonna be a while, and if you just got here then your probably not gonna get a drink tonight." So I'm not a dive bar kind of gal, but this is the only bar I've genuinely enjoyed! When you walk in there is no stench to it. Unlike other bars that stink like a mix of alcohol and vomit. I love that it looks and feels so clean! The music is definitely enjoyable. I appreciate that they have a variety all night, and the choices are all great. The crowd seems chill, and the bartenders are pretty cool, too. There's plenty of pool tables. The only reason it's a 4 star and not 5, is that the beer prices are a bit steep. Great place for cold beer and Billard! This is my friends favorite place to chill and play some pool. I met up with him and noticed the parking was a bit small and by the looks of the outside it looked like a dive bar for sures. Once inside I noticed it to be a low key easy going place to get a cold beer and chill. They do have a bounce that was pretty friendly and the girls walking around were cool too. This is a nice little local bar, but I would never give it 4 or 5 stars, come on people. It sits in a strip mall and is a basic hole in the wall bar full of tatted locals and super tatted female bartenders. I don't have anything against tats, but simply setting the tone for anyone who may decide to check this place out. It's predominantly white and have heard rumblings of white supremacy rumors come out of this place and have actually experienced it a bit myself. A couple of my employee's, one Asian and one Mexican went with me to grab a drink and shoot pool and they both mentioned to me that they didn't like the place and felt uncomfortable while there, and said guys were giving them mean looks. I didn't notice this myself, but I have to take their word for it. I'm not bagging on the place, I actually like it and the drinks are super cheap, so it's a can't miss there.
