I have friends in the Orlando area that have posted videos from within the shooters world facility. So I've been wanting to check it out for a while now. I finally went up and visited, and the entire place surpassed my expectations. This was the largest indoor shooting facility I've ever been to. Not to mention they have firearms for rental that I've never seen before, such as the Barrett rifle. I even got to see someone shoot it! We did a family trip to Shooters World (5 brother in laws). We did the concealed weapons class. It was taught by Roger. Class was great, educational, and the instructor made it interactive. We then went downstairs to shoot on the 50 yard range. Spencer was our safety instructor while shooting two fully automatic firearms (machine guns). We had a blast. What made it so great was the staff. Spencer was awesome. It didn't hurt that he was also a Marine! This place was amazing. Shooters World has a clean, professional, and most of all a safe shooting facility. We will return again!. This place would be great for a company event, team building, or even a date nigh. It is not your dark and dirty gun range. It is exceptional. . . in my humble opinion. read more

I have been a member for five years. Membership came with several perks. Each year membership price has gone up, while they continue to eliminate perks. One thing I've noticed is that the turnover rate is extremely high. My group has developed friendships with the employees but the employees don't stay for long. The reason employees leave is always the same, poor management. If you purchase a firearm online and have it shipped to your store, the transfer fee used to be reasonable. That too has increased. It went from $45.00 to an incredible 82.00. That's nothing but legalized robbery. Being disabled, I need to use one of their carts to carry my range bag and rifles. For some reason, they changed most of the carts to an unstable cart with smaller wheels, that's prone to tip over. If you're pushing your cart inside the store, going from one room to another, it's very unstable when you come to a floor transition strip. I've had my cart tip over many times, no matter how careful I try to be. In the parking lot the small stones are treacherous, and you and your cart can topple over without warning. I have a picture of the new carts and the older ones. The older carts are more stable and don't tip over, unlike the newer shinny carts. I have included pictures of the older gray carts and the newer shinny carts. Unfortunately, most of the carts are the newer unstable ones. There you have it. First time visitors will need to fill out a digital release form and pay for a shooters card before renting a Lane or Firearms. The facility is very well laid out with retail in the front and ranges in the back. The Ranges are well lit, sound proofed and AC'd. They have a wide verity of Firearms to choose from, semi auto and full auto experiences are available. I counted fifteen employees working the range side assisting customers so processes moved quickly when getting additional ammo and exchanging Firearms. Ranges are supervised and we were offered recommendations by staff on different Firearms to try based on our needs. We had a good first time experience and Shooters World is equally a great date night and avid shooter spot. Will be back with my wife and friends to exercise my Second Amendment. read more

I'm thrilled that this shooting range opened up! Unfortunately, out of all other staff, only ONE staff "Greg" was willing to use pen and paper to communicate with me. All others did not use pen and paper at all in spite of me handing my pen and paper to them so that the intended message would be clearly understood. But most of them kept talking... not using the pen/paper at all. Other than that, I love the set up in the practice range as the lights kept the range well lit, and the AC was really upscale which kept the range really effectively cool. read more

Brian is extremely knowledgeable, helped me to master all of the components of the equipment, and made several great recommendations to advance my skills. I was hitting the middle of the target by the time we were finished and with several action steps to take for continued improvement. He was a great, super polite guy as well. I took the G-Class weapons certification at Shooters World, given by Mike Jones last week. Mike is an incredible instructor and teacher, extremely professional. Mike took an extensive amount of time working with some of the students that needed some extra help with the material. Mike was focused on safety throughout the entire 3 day class, presenting and clarifying the information that was taught. I went here just to go to a gun safety class and I really liked it. The staff and the facilities we're great here. I've also gone a couple of times to use the shooting range and it's been very good. I highly recommend this place. The front of the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and you can wander the store as long as you want, which is a great thing. This is, by far, the nicest and largest firearms range and store that I have ever seen. I haven't seen too many other 100 yard INDOOR ranges. The selection of rental firearms is massive. Anything from a Glock 44 .22 caliber pistol to an M1919 belt-fed machine gun or an M107 Barrett .50 caliber rifle. The store carries all of the major brands and even some rarer brands that you won't see at the smaller local gun stores. They even carry 5-11 clothing and accessories! There is an actual Gunsmith shop on premises to assist with firearms issues, cleaning firearms, or just asking simple questions. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. When you are a first time firearms purchaser, they provide you with a free "New Owner's Class" and they have a multitude of other training offerings. I read some of the other reviews about the price of ammunition and the availability of firearms.... Why would you blame Shooter's World for the manufacturer's availability and pricing? Current social issues with COVID-19 have made availability tough everywhere... Do yourself a favor.... Go buy a membership at Shooter's World! read more

Been a member at the Orlando store since before they opened. Initially it was a great place. Excellent facility, truly the best of the best. But the overall experience has gone down hill due to the people they hire. The customer service is on par with Walmart. They must be making a ton of revenue as there are always lots of employees standing around doing nothing. Unfortunately most of the employees are pretty much useless as far as firearms knowledge. Seems they will hire anyone who can fog a mirror and put them out there checking in folks for range time or on the sales floor with little to no training. Recently they changed their rules and do not allow steel or aluminum case ammo. I suspect that it due to the income they generate off of the recovered brass casings. Most recently they decided to not allow you to preload your magazines. As someone who shoots at least every week this is a huge inconvenience. I go through well over a hundred rounds per pistol, per session so I have numerous magazines that I preload so I can make the most of my time. Today I was on the 100 yard range to zero one of my AR15's and they have removed all but 1 of the shooting tables. When I asked what happened the RSO said he did not know. Said he showed up one day and all but one had been removed. Common sense would dictate that you would want customers shooting from a stable rest. Especially when you look at all of the holes in the ceiling baffles. A year or so would have rated them 5 stars but the experience for seasoned shooters has gone down hill big time. Seems all they care about is catering to the tourists and noobs that are ignorant enough to pay their inflated prices for ammo, targets, and other merchandise. read more

Enjoyed our visit to this gun range. Staff was nice, very informative & helpful. Prices are comparative and maybe a little cheaper than B'ham, AL prices. Facility is very nice, food prices are nice, great selection of guns. Bathrooms were immaculate. Highly recommend & we will return when in the area. Also a SUPER BIG PLUS- my husband left his phone here, it was a holiday & we were headed to Tampa,so they were closed the next day, we called and they said someone turned it in. There was a sales person that basically was scraring a woman to purhase as much ammo that she can buy bc of the inauguration. Which I thought that was a shitty way to sell ammo. If I was a salesperson I would have just said "keep in consideration the ammo goes pretty fast " . What a way to try sell a product . God what else he put in her head. Me and my boyfriend finally came to Shooter's world after talking about it for several months! We figured if we both enjoyed it as much as we did, we could make it a regular fun hobby to do together and we will be doing exactly that after our private lesson we had this evening with Brian! Of course he was very knowledgeable of both the pistol and the AR 15 my boyfriend bought along with us but he also made us feel very comfortable shooting both guns, helped us when it came to aiming both and even helped with our stance. I don't know about my boyfriend but I was very nervous at first. Towards the end I was loading bullets, myself and shooting with no help at all unless I had a question. He was a super nice guy! We'll definitely be back considering he lives around the corner and we'll be sure to ask for Brian if ever want another private lesson. We highly recommend asking for him! I'm gonna start with this by saying AMAZING place to go shoot guns, different rules different atmosphere than other shooting ranges I have been too , I had a late flight and needed something to kill the time so I looked up things to do after going to Orlando mall and this place popped up and glad it did, the amount and types of guns to shoot was A+ the different types of ranges to shoot from was A+ wanna shoot a sniper go upstairs wanna shoot assault rifles stay on the first floor wanna shoot a glock or maybe a shotgun all on the first floor at different parts which was amazing ! i was very disappointed today . they send out an email of this big Easter sale so I drive all the way across town and waste my time and gas . they were promoting a sale on a 45 acp Easter basket for 99.99 so i asked to see it and the employees had no clue what i was talking about . i had to show him on my phone what i was talking about . so during the search after him speaking to his manager which was no help whatsoever .come to find out they only had one freaking 45acp basket and it was already sold . Very nice shooting lanes, but would bring my own ammunition, prices are really high on target ammo.

Rude customer service at times. On 9/10/20 the little kid working upstairs, registering lanes between 9:30-10:30am seemed to be of that customer delivery model. Could be that he had some sort of personality disorder; if not though he definitely seemed to feel entitled to Shooters World's paycheck. I was surprised that this particular little kid wasn't more inclined to respect elders as well. Tried to resolve issue by inquiry about policy via email listed on the header of your web application, but has gone ignored after multiple attempts. I did however receive a reply when inquiring before this incident when inquiring about a trade in. So I know the email is functional. read more

I have been Shooter's World 3 times since I moved to Orlando Area, it is by far one of the best places to go, having a large selection of weapons and accessories to choose from, great indoor ranges, most employees are great and very informative, very few ( 1 in particular) don't realize at times, that they are talking to either former military or former law enforcement, that know a lot about guns just as much if not more then he does, but in general, great place. read more

For over 10 years I've been transferring all my guns to guns plus in surprise, az, this time i send it to shooters world in goodyear, az because it showed $25.00 transfer fee on the website I purchased the gun, show up to pick up my new gun and got hit with a $59.00 dollars fee, well i can say they got me this time, but guaranteed i will never even set foot on the store, amazingly enough i was looking to spend an additional $259.00 dollars but the gentleman at the store wouldn't even consider giving a discount after told him i needed so accessories, well i gess shooter's world don't need my business read more

Bought Gold membership September 2020. Shooters World is a clean, professional, Open concept range, Great selection and lay out of pistols, rifles, shot guns, the list goes on, gun smith on site. Very nice.. A little on the pricey side though. That being said. Unfortunately Not that it is shooters world fault. The price of Ammo has gone through the roof and availability is abysmal. Paying $60.00 dollars a month for the gold membership and not being able to by .38 cal or .380 cal, 9mm was usually in stock but not all the time and .223/5.56 not always available and if it is very Expensive.. so you buy a box instead of 2 or three. Your In and Out in 20 mins and spent $100.00 PLUS... That being said about 5-6 months into my membership I requested to cancel my membership. the gentleman at counter said "well, that's expensive you have to pay a cancellation fee and if you stop payment it is reported to credit bureau's". Pretty much to that effect. So I admit did not ask what the cancellation fee was. Its now May 2021. Have not used my membership since January beginning of Feb 2021. I am paying for something that I do not use due to current climate. Had enough, and did cancel my membership. It costs $50.00 to cancel. WISH the gentleman (representative) had told me it would be a $50.00 cancelation fee. Instead I paid $60.00 a month for additional 4 more months. He originally made it sound like some big fee. Disappointed in the practice of once you join your in for the term of membership. I would go with my wife and for less than 30 mins $1.00 for every pull. Spend couple hundred dollars. Sorry not worth it at moment. I like to practice but can spend my $$ on better entertainment. Nothing personal Shooters World but you need to change your membership policies. Why should a person pay a cancelation Fee? I belong to a wholesale club if I cancel my membership they don't charge a fee to cancel. And you should be more up front SPECIFICALLY what the cancellation fee is, and you can cancel your membership, if you so wish. Belonged to the Villages Shooters Word. Will just go locally not as nice but gets the job done cheaper. read more

Bad customer service! Yesterday I called and spoke with a supervisor, i think his name is Billy If I remember, over the phone and asked if they had a item i was looking for and if they do trade in. They told me i can get in good condition around $400 and confirmed they had the one I was looking to buy on stock. I called because I live about an hour from the store and don't want to waist my time. When I get there, 1st strike, the item I was interested to buy, guess what? OUT OF STOCK !! 2nd strike, they wanted to still my trade for $150. They looked into it and started giving me stupid reasons why like, the is a scratch( barely can see it and it was caused by the holster!!(normal wear and tear!! And they said the barrel needs to be replace(dont make any sense) and it cost $100. So. Instead of deduct the $100 to the promised amount of $400, they penalize me trying to give me $150. That's insane!!! And also because they have a lot of inventory they can't pay more than the offered me. SO WHY YOU ARE TELLING ME THIS NOW AND NOT OVER THE FREAKING PHONE!! Absolute horrible experience. If this was my only access to a gun range, I would give up shooting. First off, you have to pay an extra $10 for an ID card. That's a great way to rip off visitors to the area who will never be returning. It gives them a souvenir of when they came to Orlando to get ripped off. Despite knowing how bad this place was, I went with a friend who wanted to zero his new rifle scope while I shot a new 1911 I bought at the gun show the day before. The 100yd range didn't open until 1pm (not that their website shows this), the 50yd range was down and only half of the 25yd range was open. I shot less than 30 rounds (with two RSO's so far up by backside I thought I was back in bootcamp) and they kicked us off the range due to poor ventilation. It's a shame that these clowns are the only ones with an indoor 100yd range because it's just not worth the frustration you're going to experience dealing with such a poorly run facility. Take the drive to an outdoor range or hit up some of the smaller ranges because this place is just terrible. As for me, I'll stay home and dry fire before I let these guys rob me blind again. read more

In town for a short while and thought I'd pop in and fire off a few rounds. After filling out the paper work and waiting on line for ages, I was told that solo shooters without their own weapon are not allowed to shoot on their ranges. I've been to many ranges around the country, but I've never encountered this policy. Now, I understand the reason for the policy, but it's not posted anywhere and I spent a while on their site before visiting. If they're going to exclude solo, maybe it should be more clear so time isn't wasted? read more

Since it appeared the establishment was positive I had my scope mounted by them. Took my scope in the factory Vortex box. Placed it in a shopping bag and at least twice expressed that I wanted the box and contents (documents, sunshade, lens cloth, cr2032 battery) returned to me. No need to remove those items, they come with the scope, they have a work area accessed only by employees, it's bagged so it'd be ok, right? No, the bag was lost. Was told I'd be called by today and wasn't. This happened and they were well aware I wasn't satisfied on Tue 8/10 when I picked up my rifle. Was the scope even mounted correctly ? Was told by shooters word they sighted the gun in at 100 yards 55 grain 223 rounds. Took a lesson from a professional firearms instructor following the scope installation and it wouldn't hit paper at 100 yards. Moved the target to 25 yards and the impact was 20" left AND 15" to the low. Both distances showed same results for 2 shooters. Upon further review, the QD mounts were lose and the rings were not tightened so the scope was turning in the mounts. Paid $100 to lose box/documentation AND receive non professional installation. Don't offer a service is cannot be done correctly. Trust your firearms to a gunsmith that you trust with your life. read more

Had a great time here. The RSOs are cool guys but they're not afraid to call it like it is if you're an idiot with a weapon. The facility is super clean and everything is brand new! I know they just opened recently but the facilities are really nice and they have a huge selection of guns. Even though I brought my own guns, their rental selection is massive. I will say though, be wary of the tourist in the area they have never shot a gun before. I typically these guys are the ones you have to watch out for. Other than that, I'd definitely come back in the near future! read more

I highly recommend checking out Shooters World for all your gun & rifle needs. From gun smith service to various parts upgrades, it all seems to be there in one awesome place! Every employee in the store is willing to help you out or share their knowledge and opinions on the countless gun & rifles they carry in store. I also recommend checking out the Shooters World University courses. Some courses are free and extremely beneficial. They offer the concealed license class as well and the fee for the course was much less then other shops. The instructors JC and Brian are super helpful. Both JC and Brian have several years experience and answered all questions, explained and shared techniques & do's/don'ts when owning or handling a gun. Excellent instructors. Numerous range lanes available and all very well organized & most importantly safe. Range instructors are available and extremely helpful too. I went to get a gift for my husband's birthday. Waited patiently at the counter when a couple that was going to shoot, purchase ammo and targets skipped the line. I advised the cashier I was there before the guy, (because my time is valuable as well), and the cashier acknowledged me. When he was done he deliberately ignored me to take care of the "line skippers". Needless to say I walked away without purchasing anything. That was rude. Highly disappointed in my go to place for gifts for my husband... at least it used to be... don't want to be disappointed again!!
