If you have a real passion for shooting and you have a few dollars burning a hole in your pocket then this is the perfect place for you. When you drive into the parking lot it looks like a department store. When you walk inside you see large glass cases with the weapon manufacturers name on top. Each case has the manufacturers weapons locked inside. Outside the cases they have the manufacturers weapon accessories on shelves. A short walk around the corner will lead you to the two shooting ranges that are there. I went on a Saturday and had to wait about 40 minutes due to the large amounts of people who wanted to shoot. After filling out the waiver I had pay for my shooting package. Be forewarned if you come by yourself you can't shoot unless you have your own weapon, if you don't have your own weapon and you want to rent a weapon from shooters world you have to bring a friend. Sounds a little ridiculous but I was told by the range safety Officer that this is company policy. I rented a sig sauer and waited for my allotted range time. While I waited I drooled when I looked at the massive case with the weapons that were available to rent. When my name was called the range safety officer said go upstairs to range slot 40. I was pleasantly surprised that they had more shooting range space upstairs. Each range space was occupied by a shooter you have to walk carefully because there are spent shell casings on the floor the range safety officer has a squeegee type device and he pushes the spent shell casings forward of the shooting stall. When you're on the second floor walk around the corner from the stairs and you have the 100 ft range. I've never seen an indoor 100 ft range it's massive if you enjoy shooting your high powered weapons you'll never go home. I guess this is why they call this place Shooters World. read more

They Mess up. you pay! If I could use just one word to describe Shooters World Orlando it would be INCOMPETENT! I purchased an NFA item from them Feb 11th this year. Samantha the BATFE Clerk Reviewed and submitted the paperwork via Eform. Six Months later I got my disapproval letter due to her not uploading the picture correctly. She assured me it would not be an issue and all I would have to do is pay another $200 dollar tax stamp and resubmit my form. She quoted me it would only take about another month to get the approval. I then reached back out to discuss the issue with a manager by the name of Jorge, who assured me that she or him would call me back same day with an update...no one called so I decided to reach out to the ATF that same day who informed me that a resubmitted form would have to wait its turn in line again. When I arrived back at Shooters World there was a customer waiting for the same issue. That customer had submitted four forms and three had been disapproved due to pictures not being uploaded correctly by THEM. After Samantha spoke with a General Manager by the name of Jacqueline I was given the option to either resubmit with them and wait...6 months at least again (in hopes that they would not mess up a second time) or have them pawn off there mess and transfer my item to another gun store. I chose the safe option and had it transferred. They were even NICE enough to charge me $18.51 to ship it to safety! They take no ownership in their MISTAKES!!! I wish I could place a review with no stars. I have been to the Orlando location many times. I recently went with my family and didn't seem to have any issues. I returned with friends and coworkers for a guys day out shooting and was turned away stating I was placed on a "no shoot, no sale" restriction. When asked about the restriction I was told a manager placed it due to my daughter vandalizing the bathroom and causing a leak to the upstairs eye wash station. Neither of which were reported to me the day I visited and we know it was not our daughter. We went back to speak to the manager with my daughter so that we can rectify the situation and the General manager refused to come talk to us and the other manager that spoke to us originally also refused to come back out to speak to us. Instead they sent a store employee to tell us they will be busy with an event taking place all day until closing and would not be able to talk to us about the situation. Not only did they slander my daughter and I, they also then refused to talk to us causing yet another embarrassment when returning to the store. We did not act maliciously at any time at the store. In fact we stood in plain sight so that they could not accuse us of anything else. I have reached out to all that I could and now I have filed a Better Business Bureau complaint and am seeking out legal consultations regarding this event. Didn't have to get to that, the store manager could've talked to us and dealt with it in the store. I can not recommend this place in good conscious considering what happened. read more

I am going to go with 2 stars. As other reviewers note - this place is very well stocked with just about everything you could imagine related to firearms. However, you are going to pay DEARLY to purchase items here. I understand overhead costs. When you walk in and there are at least 15-20 employees just standing around doing nothing - you will understand why it costs $92 for 3 people to use their range for 1 hour (that includes their annual/required/mandatory $10 / person range card, however). Things I do like - a real "range master" on each range (sorry - too many morons with guns in Orlando) is a really great idea - and the guy we had was incredibly helpful to two other guys who came in while we were shooting who admitted that they had never shot a gun before. I think it took way too long to get checked in to shoot. We had pre-signed the waiver on the website and it still took 20+ minutes to interrupt some dude on the phone (with 6-8 people just standing around him) to be assigned a shooting lane. To correlate with the other reviews, I think the 20 minutes of standing around was taken off our "1 hour" range time too -- sure seemed awfully quick when the range guy said our hour was up in 5 minutes. The biggest problem I have with the company is lack of a military discount - even for active duty. When I asked - "We do not give ANY discounts".... HMMM..... LOL? Overall, safe and a top shelf facility - but you are going to pony up $$$. read more

This is a really nice facility. A great selection of firearms and shooting supplies, and the range is clean, well lit, and air conditioned. The prices were a tad above my local range and the driveway to get into the place is a horrible to find mess, but the effort was worth it to browse and have a high quality range. read more

First time here and I would recommend this to any level of shooter especially new ones. The checkin process is simple. You either watch a safety video at home or on site, select your range distance you want to shoot and then go shoot for your time. There is a $10 fee for your shooters card that has your pic and name on it and you just show that from there on out. The rso in my range was very helpful to the "new" shooters in that range. I could hear him asking the right questions as he picked up on them right away as not "seasoned" shooters. He was very safety conscious with them and never once sounded frustrated or impatient and answered all their questions professionally. He also constantly walked back and forth watching the entire range. The other staff I encountered were all nice and respectful and did not come off as sales man. The only complaint I would say is the cost of ammo in the store. It's high as I would expect but it's really high so make sure you bring plenty of your own. You also have to come in with all ammo in boxes, cases, or in a bag. They have to inspect all ammo because some idiot decided to bring in tracer ammo and caught one of the ranges on fire. read more

I can not recommend this place in good conscious. The majority of the staff have little to no knowledge of firearm's, what they are doing or talking about. No gunsmith on site. Gunsmith counter is always closed. GM is MISERABLE. No wonder they have major issues with retaining staff and members. DO NOT PAY FOR THE MEMBERSHIP it has no real perks or value. I along with 3 other members were asked to stop shooting after 1 hour and not reassigned to other bay. No options given.. Simply your time is up and it doesn't matter if you are a paid club member. We asked to speak to the GM. She was rude and short. She got very irritated when one of the members asked for his membership to be canceled and refunded. I went back to range and she placed me on the No shoot or buy list. When I asked why. They told me because GM didn't like what I said about her.. LOL... Just give me a refund.. 3 years as a member an thousands spent at your store is gone because of a miserable GM. Shooters World, you can and should do better treating customers like me/members.. But, it looks like the owners of SW do not really care! I'm reading common reviews of this GM all over the web. SW has lost some amazing employees over the years due to this person. Wow!!! once you walk in the front door, you will be blown away. I stopped in the other day to sign up for a class that I saw on their website. My wife and I where greeted by a nice gentleman, and he gave us a complete tour of the facility. I returned today to take the HR218 class they offer, and I was very impressed. I will head back next week when they have their Grand Opening event, and sign up for a yearly pass at that time. read more

I really wanted to like this place. Clean, large and it was looking to have a lot of potential. I've bought guns and ammo there. Shot at the range more than a few times. All of this sounds great but their failures are service and organization. At any given time, there's maybe 2 people in the entire store that know what they're doing. The rest are untrained and unknowledgeable. And I'm not talking about intricate details about gun specific things. I'm talking about standard knowledge of the place they work at. From working the computers for the range or purchases, to fundamentals about the workings of the store. This is a management issue plain and simple. I could give them a pass when it first opened but that was awhile ago. Now, if I see something on sale that I like, I may drop in and wait the hour or more to get nearly anything done. Otherwise, there are other places to go and shoot that may not be shiny and new but are a lot more relaxed and fun. I'm a gun proponent and want places like this to do well. But until their management implements a better training and hiring program, this place will survive by catering to out of town or out of country clientele with no expected repeat visits. Here's the absolute truth about this store and our current state in this country. Businesses like this take something so important like the second amendment and your birth given right to protect yourself and loved ones and make it a complete mockery. Everything in this store is set up as if it were a theme park, and it's hyper-inflated prices. It had been a year since I visited this store to shoot. I pop in every now and then curious to see new product and typically leave as quickly as I drop by. The prices are so ridiculous you would not even be able to convince yourself that at the very least you have the product in hand. Not to mention the selection is geared towards those poor souls who either don't know the difference in quality at a fair price or are too arrogant to care about price and pay the 300% mark up because they know Magpul and Sig Sauer is top tier product and Hell, they can afford it! - Recently I needed to sight in a couple rifles. One was a new build and the other needed a bit more dialing in. The new build had a 1x prism scope that needs to be sighted in at 100 yards for the BDC reticle to function properly. So my choices for a range are limited being that this place has the only 100 yard range in a 75mile radius. This may sound petty to someone that doesn't have to work for a living but it means something to me and many others that need to work hard for the few bucks they can set aside. Not only is it $30 for a rifle range rental but now you need to "Subscribe" and in turn pay an additional $10 for a "Shooter's Card" before they will even talk to you. So that's $40 to start off with, figure easily $100 in ammo, and another $25 conservatively estimating for someone who may not realize it's a terrible idea to buy your ammo, targets and rent ear/eye pro at the range. God forbid you show up with a friend to enjoy the experience with and you are now out a couple hundred dollars to go shoot at paper targets. The real disappointment is that people eagerly pay this and enable a profit before all else monster corporate entity to get away with murder. Places like this pulverize the small, mom and pop shops (the same small shops that work with you and give you fair prices on 'top tier' product). They cannot compete with the glamorous show rooms and massive marketing budgets. All the while these massive corporate giant stores (such as Shooters World) pay their employees less than McDonald's pay and ultimately have clueless sales associates that know nothing about the products being sold. So of course they are going to inherently develop a healthy and arrogant attitude while tending to you, that's if you're lucky enough to get someone's attention to help you. So if you love the service you get at car dealerships and home depots. Then this is the place for you my friend... read more
