Phil is amazing!!! We came in to buy our first gun today and the service Phil gave my wife and I was truly exceptional. Phil went out of his way to walk us through the pros and cons of each handgun we looked at and in the end recommended a Glock 48 that was perfect for the home defense we were looking for. Phil wasn't focused on upselling us to a bigger gun with extra bells and whistles but instead looked to put the right gun in our hands without looking for a higher commission or profit. Went back on another Sunday and got right in again. I brought my 19 year old nephew along and we had a great time.

As a member having made an appointment I understand waiting a few minutes for a lane to open in the given time but to be told to wait outside when it is over 100* and having the lane not open for over two hours past my scheduled time is insulting, especially having already paid for a membership. It's not like I can take that money and go to a different range you already have my money. read more

I took the Defensive Pistol class for women & had the BEST experience. All my questions were answered and the instructor was phenomenal. Don was more than qualified to teach the class as he knew quite a bit. I felt beyond comfortable leaving the class and more informed about safety first. I had never held a gun before taking that class and was completely afraid of guns in general. But being well informed and learning about them, from my opinion, an amazing instructor, I am not so afraid anymore. I would need some more practice though and cannot wait to get back on the range and participate in some more classes. read more

I love this place!!! They have it all, and they let you rent guns. I like to do that before I make a purchase. The ranges are clean, and the staff is super helpful. I do suggest you take your own firearms and ammo. Their stuff can be a bit pricey. I am a huge firearm enthusiast! Terrible service. This is the second time at this location and same snobby result fron the first. I went in to use their gun range. Well, one of the associates watched me walk in torwards the range counter. As soon as I got up to the counter, he walked away without saying anything. Since the other employees with with customers he was the only one walking back and forth not doing anything. About 5 minutes later he walked back nearby me, still not to me or looking in my direction helping people who came in after me. I finally managed to flagged him down. He said he didnt know I was there to use the range. Apparently my rifle bag slung over my shoulder was not an indicator of what my purpose was. read more

OK, so I went back here to use the range and it was a complete 180 from the last time I was here, which got them a 1 star from me. This time I felt everyone there was there to help and give great customer service. The range experience was very good and they even have a few range officers (who definitely knew their stuff) I feel every range should have very diligent safety officer. These guys had a few. I don't know how anyone can leave a bad review for this place. Maybe I caught everyone that worked there on their best day. I took my family of 5 plus my daughters boyfriend and we had the time of our lives. They were busy on a Friday morning at 11am and told us the wait was going to be at least 45 minutes. We waited about 12 minutes and they got us in. (Shout Out to Dylan at the counter, great customer service and personality.) There were 6 of us on one lane and after about an hour it cleared out and we were able to take another lane. We were there for 2 1/2 hours just shooting and having a great time. Another Shout Out to the slim, taller, younger guy (don't know his name) that assisted me with my AR10, it kept jamming and he stated it was the metal jacket ammo. No one was pushy, or rude, or lacked customer service. Everyone was there to assist and there was always someone on the range walking back and forth for safety or assistance. I was at the gun range on 1/16/2017 with a new gun to sight in. The Colt 1911 had adjustable Novac sights on the rear. After shooting a number of clips through the pistol I noticed there was a large gap on the rear sights of the pistol. After examination I realized the screw on the rear ramp had loosened and come off the gun. I managed to find the ramp and and the screw that had loosened but was missing two springs the size of the lead in a #2 pencil and maybe 3mm long at the most. Three individuals with phone flashlights were looking for the springs on hand and knees. When I started to leave the range Mr. Roberto Perez said I looked kind of down and asked if I was OK. I told him my story and asked if he knew where I might buy the needed springs. He gave me some ideas but then said wait a bit and let him work on it. On his own, he took a light back to the range and dug around on his knees and found one of the springs. He made my day, night,week, etc. Still looking for the other spring but what an incredible exposure to value added service and care. Thank you so very much for being such a caring range officer. We had our initial experience shooting gun here at this branch and it was indeed a positive experience. The place was clean, people were friendly and everything was done systematically. Given that I and my girlfriend had no prior experience, they gave us a quick run through on how we would operate the gun and also to keep us safe.They gave us a pistol that is the easiest to manage. Zachary was really patient with us the whole time. We never felt uncomfortable given that we are novice shooters. read more

Their lack of communication with their customers is astounding. The financing department has decided to shut down, and the people at shooters world weren't even Courteous enough to contact me ahead of time to tell me after this after this is the SECOND 2 hr drive (one way) to pick up my gun I've put a deposit on. I've been the one contacting the Peoria office for updates, and I have been the one making sure everything is in order w paperwork. This sucks shooters world! After Friday when I FINALLY can pick up my gun because I have to pay cash I will NEVER do business with you again. I've been coming to you guys for years for the shooting range, and classes. I am a member because it is closer to me than my favorite shooting range, The Scottsdale Gun Club.. My concern is the lack of safety and often no range safety officer. I am always on my toes keeping an eye on the other shooters so I do not stay very long. It is a place to shoot, not a place to buy anything, some of the staff are great but others need a personality transplant. read more

I go fairly often for ladies "night" on Fridays. Free lane for one hour, free hearing and eye protection, free gun rental, and all I buy is a target and sometimes ammo. Mostly I bring my own gun and my own ammo, but if you use their gun you have to buy their ammo. I think that's reasonable. I would not even rate with 1 Star - if it was an option. We purchased a gun and everything went down hill from there. Our first clue should have been the wait that we had before someone acknowledged us. Several employees passed us standing at the counter without even a 'hello'. Then when someone did come to assist us, we were handed off to an obvious inexperienced person, as you will find as I proceed through my review. The person who handed us off - advised the person to show us a couple of weapons based on what we were looking for. We were shown one of the guns, however again had to wait a significant amount of time as the second gun was being shown to another person. In addition, to not having another weapon to show us [thus the wait], we asked several question regarding the gun we were looking at. The person had to keep locking up or taking the gun away from us to go get the answer to our questions and then return. We finally we able to view both gun - again - only one at a time : certainly not out together to compare. In the end we decide to purchase a S&W M&P and we told that they had to order it, that it would come with a 'gun case' and be in at the end of the week. We asked about returning the gun if it was not what we were not happy with it. He said 'absolutely you can bring it back it us'. So we proceeded with the purchase and went back in at the end of the week when they called us that the gun had arrived. When we picked up the gun they handed us the item in a cardboard box. We inquired where the gun case was and were told that it does not come with a case. We went through the day of purchase agreement- although they could not determine who had helped us [remind you - he placed the order for the gun on the computer]. So with a 'managers' approval, they agreed to 'comp' us on a gun car safe or a 'carry-amo' canvas bag for our gun since they could not come up with a gun carrying case. Disappointed we left. On the following day we took the gun to the range and shot it. We determined that we did not like the feel and handling of the gun and came back within the week to exchange the gun for the other gun we had seen on our original visit. The employee walked way and mumbling something and then we were asked to step over to talk with another 'manager'. The first words out of his mouth were: "you are not going to like what I am going to say". He proceed to tell us he told only 'purchase' the gun back at half the cost and we could then purchase a new one. We were shocked. He further stated: 'it just like buying a car - you can not drive a car off the lot and then return it!!". We knew that this was not going to be resolved - so we packaged up the gun and left. [Obviously he has not purchased cars . . .] RUN and DO NOT PURCHASE ITEMS HERE!!! read more

Came here the other day to check it out, did not buy anything but I was eventually helped by someone who I think was a manager because he was very helpful. Answered all of my questions very thoroughly and even took the time to show me everything. I was looking for a compact 22 for hiking and eventually a 22 rifle for fun with my 8 year old son. He gave me sound advice and even showed me great accessories for what I was looking to do. Prices seemed a bit high but since I was not in a rush I will shop around still. I did notice that there was a wait to use the rang and it looked like there were about 15-20 lanes for shooting. They did not have any 22 handguns to rent so I did not bother but I do appreciate having an indoor shooting range in the NW valley. I will be going back to use the rang and eventually buy. For the second time in two weeks we went to this facility. We had a party of four both times. First time we waited one and a half hours for two lanes. They were busy so no problem. The staff was friendly and the place was nice. The second time same party of four we registered for two lanes one rifle and one pistol. We were given a lane for pistol right away. Despite three rifle lanes being open. We never did get a rifle lane. Four guys on one lane is not very functional. $100 to fire 3 mags is quite expensive. Staff today didn't care. read more

I can't remember if his name was Kyle or Kevin...or even if we were helped out by two guys with both those names... anyway, it was a great trip to Shooter's World. It was actually my first time and a spontaneous trip. We were in the area on a Sunday afternoon with nothing else to do so we stopped by. I love seeing the collection and seeing that they offer classes and accessories and just about everything needed for a shooter/gun owner. These two named above were really friendly and actually answered a ton of my questions and took their time showing me different styles of guns... I've never owned a gun before and was telling them how interested I was in my first one. I'm glad that I was able to pick the brains of some experienced individuals. We ended up staying for a few hours and actually used the shooting range they have here. It was great learning about the handgun and actually then going to try it out. When I'm ready for the purchase, I will most likely come back here for it. The only thing stopping it from being a full five stars was that we were not greeted right away. We walked in and went up to the handguns counter and there was an older employee who wasn't helping anyone out...He was kind of standing there while we were looking at the glass case full of guns. I actually was right in front of him...it seemed like he was trying to avoid looking at us. I really waited until he would come over, expecting to ask if I needed help, but that never happened. Then this lady walked up, who came in after me, and he rushed over to her asking her if she needed help. That was the funniest thing ever and almost made me leave. The summers here in AZ are hot so my boyfriend and I were so happy to see that they opened another indoor range on this side of town. The staff is friendly & very helpful. Fridays are ladies nights, so we drop our kids off with the sitter & start the night off emptying a few clips! It's loud inside the range for our 4yr old & they don't let kids under 4 inside for safety reasons. They have a good selection of handguns & rifles to rent if you don't bring your own. Bringing your own stuff & renting the lane is the cheapest way to go. Otherwise, if you rent their equipment, you have to buy their ammo as well. They have some good targets but we bought some awesome ones online for way cheap! If you're looking to purchase a new weapon & want a chance to shoot different ones before you purchase one, shooters world is great! read more

Went in today to the lane at 12:01, was packing up at 12:40 when one of their guys came up to me and told me to leave as my time was up. I told him I still had 15 min left. He said not according to his info. I was leaving anyway so didn't see any point in arguing. Went out and was packing up 12:50 now still have 10 min left. A young kid came up and took my range number badge and gave me my id back and said, "we have people waiting on a pistol range". Like its my fault. I then asked to talk to a manager. They sent a guy over who was nice enough and offered to give me a couple of range passes. I showed him my receipt just so he knew I was well within my hour. Been going to shooters world since it opened in the 80's but notice they have a-lot of chaos now. My advice, keep your receipts as they sometimes don't have a clue whats going on. read more

Decided to purchase an AR-15. I did some research and was told this gun store was a good place to purchase one. I stopped by on Saturday and was prepared to have to wait but was pleasantly surprised by the number of staff they had in hand. The gentleman was friendly, answered all my questions, and suggested extra items I may need. They even offer a ladies day every Friday, which I think is pretty cool. As so many outdoor locations are disappearing, Shooter's World offers a fun indoor experience. One can rent guns, bring your own, purchase/ sell guns all in one location. The staff has been amazing having answered all of my questions and they don't make you feel like a jerk for not knowing. I've been through an on site class and thought it was fantastic. It can be pricey, especially if you are renting a gun and getting the ammo there. You will also want to avoid Fridays-unless you are a lady or are with lady friends and the weekends-super busy. They have a nice floor display with various equipment if you need to kill some time waiting for lanes to open. One really nice thing to note-most people there staff and patrons alike are helpful-friendly environment! read more

Went in Friday night to take advantage of the free ladies night on the range. There were 4 of us total and I was told it would be about 45 minutes for an open lane. Name in and paperwork filled out we went to go look at some guns. I had checked their website prior to going and thought their prices were a bit high. Once I got to the counter though, I found the weapons I was interested in were actually priced about the same as what I was finding on Gun Genie. Unfortunately there were a ton of people at the counters looking for help but only a couple employees available so it was a bit of a wait, that said, the couple of different gentlemen we dealt with were very nice, helpful and patient. After checking out a half a dozen or so revolvers, we picked a couple and purchased. They assisted us with the paperwork and got us on our way much quicker than I had anticipated considering the lack of CCW's on our part. We never got to use the range because after an hour it was still packed and we were several names down the list, but I doubt there is much to be done about that considering how busy it was, but we were very happy with our purchases and I would definitely come back here in the future. read more

My wife and I were pretty excited to finally have a range so close to home. We went to shoot on a Friday late morning when it wasn't busy, she was able to shoot free and I had a 1 hour free pass they gave me at a outdoor expo. We both rented different guns but they made us share a lane even though it was far from busy the entire time we were there. Needless to say we left that day with lots of expensive/extra ammo. One of the firearms I rented was an M&P-15 with .223 rounds. To start the magazine would not stay in the gun. After one of the employees messed with it for 10 min of my range time we finally got it to stay. Then after 5 rounds it would jam constantly. Would either double feed or stovepipe every other round. Then at one point the gun misfired while engaging the safety, at this point we had enough, it's a safety issue now. Did some research and this gun is not prone to these problems. When we checked the rentals back in I explained all the problems we were having and showed him were it was extremely dirty and just about dripping with oil. He reply's, "oh yea, I guess it hasn't been cleaned in a while.", and sent us on our way. Nice customer service guys, thanks! I may give them a second chance but for now, all I can give them is 2 stars and 0 recommends to anyone. read more

Having little range time lately and needed a practice session. The staff is very nice, knowledgable and helpful. The wait was long but it is a holiday week. The sales floor had lots of gun goodies and fashion items so the wait was not to bad. It is also a Pokey stop! The staff keeps a good eye on the floor and keeps the wait list moving right along. It was Ladies day so my range fee was waved! They have several opportunities for cheap shooting practice every month. The range area had good ventilation and folks swept up the brass as they left. I signed my nephews up for the children's gun safety class and they were captivated for the entire hour. Alexa the instructor, made it fun and was very good with the kids. I highly recommend this class and it's only $10! Wonderful way to teach your kids gun safety from someone other than you. read more
