ShopRite of Derby is are neighborhood grocery store and I have been coming here for about thirteen years. The store is always clean and well stocked. I love that there is a pizza stop where you can buy a pizza fresh out the oven or just pick one up from the cold refrigerator. They also sale coffee and can you also buy hotdogs and other items that are to go and quick and easy to eat. Last but not least, they also have a sushi section for the sushi lovers where it is made freshly every day in store. There's always a good sale going on and the staff are always helpful, pleasant, and always willing to help. read more

There stock is awful, never have anything...it never fails..to fail...It's the only store in the area so I usually just end up bringing half melted stuff from stores that do have items in stock. read more

Service is terrible here. I wanted something cut in produce time 3pm on a Thursday. First l was told by a produce person that the person that cuts was on brake. I went customer service and the person didn't know and made an announcement. No one came. I then went to guy with a suit jacket asked him he said the cutter is gone. It use to be that if a cutter wasn't present the manager himself would help you. I guess customer service means no service. read more

Your fucking prices are way to much in this store train your lap dogs to look after greens better my animals don't like to eat sludge and mud and 1 year old dandelions romaine is ok in the packages but idk why you stock products on your shelfs that are going bad I can name you a business I go on a daily that is run better then this grocery store. read more

I absolutely love the workers here. But I think a few things could change. I think rotisserie chickens should be available for all shoppers, not just mid morning people. Also, seafood department should be ready at 7 when the store opens and adjust hrs accordingly to make this happen. I also shop by the tags, lots of times tags aren't up, so it's hard to shop sale items. I get my flyer in the mail, most of the time I'll get it Mondays, doesn't help.me the flyers come in the mail on Wednesdays in Middlebury, why isn't mine mailed buy then? AND, I think the truckers should get of their lazy asses and deliver promptly to the stores so there is produce on the shelves!! Always waiting on a trucker. I am still in shock I been a costumer at the Derby shop rite since they first opened. So today I was minding my own business with my grandson shopping as usual. I paid for my groceries. I put my groceries in my car, I was there for about 15 min in the parking lot. I was looking at my phone. Then a store manager knocks on my passenger window. I was surprised. as soon as Put my window down. she accused me of not paying for my groceries. I quote she said "You didn't pay for your groceries" I was shocked and said "What are you talking about ?"she repeated again "You didn't paid for your groceries". I said what are you talking about? I have my receipt. She looked at my receipt. then threw it on my passenger seat and walked away. no apologies. falsely accused me and then walked away. unbelievable.. read more

This is the best Shop Rite in the area, in my experience. The shelves are well-stocked, there are a number of quirky options offered (sushi, premade italian dishes, exotic bakery items), it is well-organized, and the employees are effective (if not always as friendly as elsewhere). If you need it, you'll probably find it here, find it quickly, and be out the door happy. One unique facet of this Shop Rite is their "team pride Sundays" when all workers are allowed (or encouraged) to wear a Jersey from their favorite team. My wife got a flat tire as she turned from Perishing Drive to the Shop Rite parking lot. After parking, she went to the Service Desk asking if anyone can help change a flat. Before the Service Desk person could respond, Paul Quatuccio (Front-End Manager) and Havi Patel (Non-Food Manager) volunteered to help change the tire. My wife was surprised, and knowing help was there, she calmed down, thrilled and extremely happy. The action taken by these Shop Rite managers confirmed our feeling that Shop Rite Perishing Drive cares and tries to satisfy and support their customers! Our feeling about retail stores (i.e., food, hobby, clothing or sporting goods) like people, none are perfect, but we patronize stores that have integrity, trust worthy, and continually strive to improve their consumer services, quality of products at reasonable prices. read more

ShopRite in Derby is were I normally do my shopping. On 5/14 I went in the afternoon and they had no wipes in the lobby. I asked the guard standing at the entrance and he stated they ran out. This is unacceptable with what's going on in this world. Even Aldi across the street wipes and sprays down carts before they give you one. Also, Target does the same which assures you they are taking extra safety cleaning precautions. I am not giving up on ShopRite however if I go again and they don't have anti bacterial wipes at the entrance that tells me they are not taking extra safety precautions and I won't be back. read more

I have been a loyal customer at this shoprite location for 10 years but, I have to say I've noticed the quality of the cashiers had been diminishing. I had an incident yesterday where the cashier was extremely rude. Its bad enough they aren't bagging anymore, which I can understand slightly but, while I was bagging the girl was rude and when I asked her to pass stuff down she threw the stuff down the belt at me. So disappointed. Sadly I will be moving on to another location or a different chain all together. read more

Pretty good grocery store, i mean it is where i do the family grocery shopping. Prices are competitive and fair. The front entrance/exit only has one door so it's kids weird. People trying to get out and people trying to get in. Sometimes you have to wait in line to get in. The store really isnt all that new anymore so i am a little confused with the other reviews. It opened in the early 2000s. When it did the owner really did not take into the organic and natural foods movement that was starting to take off in America, therefore you get a bland white washed shopping experience. read more

Their meat market customer service is horrible. Shopped there around noon today. They had about six staff in blue hats working. I stood there for about 10 minutes to ask a question about an item on sale. I finally got the attention of an old crotchety guy with a black hat who appeared annoyed that I asked a question. I was not the only CUSTOMER he did that to...I watched for a while, all the staff were arguing with each other...I will not shop their meat market again! read more

I have been shopping at ShopRite for a long time different stores, Stratford, Shelton, Fairfield, Southbury, Derby is the worst store for employees so RUDE not helpful from the Customer Service desk to the Deli to check out. Deli needs to be trained to ask how you would like the meat and cheese and show you as they are cutting and ask how is this show an example we are paying good money for these items and the employees should all be glade they are working and have jobs if you do not like the job then get out let others who may need a job do it. Whole staff should be trained in customer service shills. Also when they run out of items takes a long time to get them back in. ShopRite English muffins for example shelve empty for 2 weeks then you and ask about them again and get a real rude man working in this area tells you to look up on the shelve here bud we have here ya I looked and only 2 packages were their no light English muffins at all come on guys.
