The garlic olive oil goes great with just about everything, and I love the blood orange olive oil.

This place was recommended to us so we decided to stop by on an early Monday afternoon. It was…read morebusy, but the line moved quickly. The space is pleasant, typical local Italian. We were pleasantly surprised by the array of cooked choices. My husband loved the chicken meal. I had the chef's broccoli salad. Really yummy & innovative. The cutlets were crispy! We bought them to make sandwiches for our kids. I also got a pound of breaded eggplant cutlets. Amazing! All reasonably priced. The owner was personable & chatty. The ladies who served were fast! We'll be back!

The food today was roasting hot. Unfortunately so was the establishment. On a day when the temp…read moreoutside was hovering around 102 fahrenheit the temp inside the store was in the upper 90s. No a/c. All the food laid out was just sitting there, steamy, smelly and a potential health risk. And typical of this place, there never seems to be enough people working at the hot food bar despite a line that stretches and coils around the place, making the wait interminable. Still I hung in as the food here rarely disappoints. But then I saw someone cleaning a countertop with what looked like a soiled rag. And then I saw all the others picking up food with their rubber-gloved hands. And then I thought of the genius who invented tongs and how he would have had a conniption witnessing this scene, which as I was walking out the door seemed slightly chaotic. And no, I didn't buy anything.

Floppy, underdone pizza-impossible to eat like a "normal pizza." All toppings slid right off. See my review for more info.

We ended up coming to Lobster Landing twice during our trip -- once on the way to Mystic and again…read moreon the way back -- which probably says everything you need to know. It's definitely a little more expensive than some of the other lobster spots we tried, but I honestly liked the food here the most. The lobster meat is lightly seasoned with what tasted like butter and lemon, and it all worked perfectly together without overpowering the lobster. The bun was incredibly soft and loaded with so much meat that it was practically falling apart in the middle. We got the half-pound lobster roll both times and would absolutely order it again, but it is $60. The clam chowder was also excellent. It's creamy without being too thick, and you can really taste all the ingredients. The hot dogs seem to be really popular -- almost everyone was ordering a lobster roll and a hot dog combo. My son loved them so much he had two the first visit! The outdoor seating and water views make it such a relaxing place to sit and eat, and there's also a market on-site where you can buy lobster and shellfish. Definitely one of our favorite stops and somewhere we'd happily return to.

Great lobster roll, the meat was perfection, the bun unique and hearty, nice views of the harbor,…read moresturdy seating. Wish there was the option of fries but I get it more money on ventilation etc. they offer bagged chips, lobster bisque (which I wish we got to dip in) the tables are also a bit gross on some (due to weather and birds) but since it's outside this is inevitable. You're here for the lobster and water and you get it. Pure summer vibes.
