One of my "go-to" breakfast places. Their Eggs Benedict is out of this world. If you are there after breakfast, their Haddock is really good. It is always fresh and flavorful. The staff are so friendly and quick. The restaurant is clean and inviting. I really enjoy coming here. read more

Traveling over the holiday and always on the lookout for a good diner. Randomly pulled into this town and stopped here. This was a welcomed surprise as most options in this region are fast food/chains. The place looks like it was recently remodeled but heavily trafficked. It also appeared to be ran by family? We were seated immediately and were interested in their adverstised house prepared sausage. Breakfast is served all day. Service was quick and constant. My wife went with their omelette and I had eggs and homefries. The house sausage was more like kiebalsa but really tasty and smoky. The home fries were freshly made (not frozen) and done perfectly. The coffee was good but a little weak for my taste. They also prepare their own "shore bacon" which sounds delicious but we didn't get to try it this trip. Their dinner menu looks great with various homestyle offerings (e.g. chicken & waffles, meatloaf or roast beef) and a good burger menu. Overall, it was a great little gem. It's about 1 hour from our home and we plan to visit more often. Only deducted one star because we haven't got a chance to sample enough of their menu. read more

Last night, time got away from this house in the middle of projects. It's after 7pm on a Monday--other than fast food, there's little open. But the Shore diner is, until 8pm. We arrived at 7:30, and many places would be unhappy to see you close to closing. Not the Shore. We had the full menu, well prepared, great service. The ONLY nod to be there at closing time was when the waitress asked if we wanted any additional fountain drinks, as they were ready to turn the machine off. It's good diner food, freshly prepared, served hot and with a smile. No matter the time. Oh, I had breakfast --they make that all day and a long day sometimes demands breakfast for supper. The Shore Diner is one of my Sunday breakfast/brunch go-tos. Located in the heart of Jersey Shore, PA, they've got great food, nice portions, and very reasonable prices. I enjoyed a baked ham and cheese omelette, hash browns, and rye toast this morning. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. The service has been fast and friendly during every visit. Outdoor seating is available as temperatures allow. This is a great spot for an excellent home-style meal. read more

Annual Christmas pilgrimage to Nowhereville, Log #4: Place was jam packed with locals the day before Christmas. Apparently the Shore Diner took over from a long-time restaurant that was located in the same building. Prices are reasonable, food is good and filling. And at least in 2018, they were open Christmas Eve. Bonus points for their chocolate chip pancakes actually having the chocolate chips baked into the pancake rather than just spread across the top of the pancake. They still had signage up saying they were not serving romaine lettuce, so expect iceberg for your salads. read more

What a fun find on our driving trip across PA! We were craving diner food and a quick search helped us find Shore Diner. I had the special which was fresh haddock and the highly recommended onion rings, both were delicious! My husband had the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes he said it was very good. The best thing was the hometown pride, our waitress told us about their winning football team and the owner answered our question about how a town in PA got the name of Jersey Shore! Wow - hard to believe that this restaurant is in little 'ol Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania! I was completely floored, upon my visit, when thinking about how this place was pre-renovations. It's a whole new world here at the Shore Diner, located in the heart of Jersey Shore, and anyone who comes to Jersey Shore should pay it a visit. The Shore Diner is much more spacious inside than you would have guessed from the outside. The interior is much more modern & classy that you would have expected from the outside - with modern decor mixed in with classic wooden tables & booths. The food prices are quite reasonable for the amount of food delivered on your plate. The food quality is much higher than a small town diner has the responsibility to deliver. But, the staff were all as friendly as could be and that you would expect from a small town establishment - I am not surprised, but am quite happy to report! For $11 I got a very meaty, filling charbroiled chicken salad that was fresh and had a great flavor to it. In fact, the rest of my party loved each and every one of their entrees - including the prime rib, chicken & waffles, chicken parmesan, and the steak & eggs. Don't underestimate the value of a place that actually charbroils (rather than fries) their food, as they did with our chicken, prime rib, and steak. The burger is supposedly a hit here also, and there is no burger other than a charbroiled burger. That alone makes me want to come back here. While I only am around the area several times a year, my Saturday night dinner really made me want to come back for both Sunday breakfast and Sunday dinner to try more food options here. Fantastic breakfast!!! Best pumpkin pancake EVER! It was the size of the dinner plate and perfectly made! My daughter had the chocolate chip pancakes and bacon and cleaned her plate! My husband had a breakfast sandwich and homefries and said it was outstanding. My son (who is picky about eggs and potatoes) cleaned his plate saying they were the best he had in a long time (my cooking included lol). All in all it was a great experience. The atmosphere was warm and cozy with a modern country edge. Every staff member we talked to was kind and cheerful! The owner came out and shared kind encouraging words with my son about his football game. Overall I highly recommend! I can't wait to go back and try lunch and dinner! This is a typical town diner. My husband had the chopped hamburger steak served with brown gravy, stiff mashed potatoes, and canned green beans. His meal came with salad or soup. He selected soup which was chili; it was topped with shredded cheddar cheese. I ordered the healthy grilled chicken salad. The salad had too much ice berg lettuce and not enough healthy greens. Overall, the meal was satisfying with one exception the restaurant had too many flies. They need a swatter to kill them. read more

I have been meaning to write this review for shore diner but now I finally can. This was our first trip here and we are more than pleased with the experience. We got there around 11 am and the hostess greeted us and let us sit were we wanted. She was very friendly and welcoming. Our waitress who was also very friendly took our drink orders and let us browse the menu. Everything sounded amazing. We ended up with and omelet, waffle platter a side of hot wings and a slice of peanut butter pie. The waitress let us order lunch even though it was a little early. The food was outstanding. The only thing I would critique is the hot wings. The wing and flavor was by no means bad but I am picky with my wings and these rate just okay for me. 5 star all day and can't wait to come back! read more

We were so looking forward to a return visit to Shore Diner on our recent visit home for the holiday. Sadly, the food was not good on our Friday night visit and the service was poor, as well. There was some miscommunication about the order, and that happens sometimes. But the food was just not good on this visit, either- soggy fries, overcooked burgers- things that seem pretty easy to get perfect and which had always been excellent in the past. Maybe it was just an off night, or bad luck, but we probably won't be back. read more

We are back and decided to try lunch this time. My wife got the charbroiled chicken salad and I got the Shore Burger. The Shore bacon is pretty incredible. The Shore sauce is also good. Makes a good dipping sauce for fries. The salad was delicious. Nice fresh greens, not your run of the mill iceberg lettuce. My daughter got the chicken tenders and much to our surprise they were thin cut chicken cutlets with Italian bread crumbs. This was a delight. Not the typical chicken tenders deep fried with way to much breading here! I will likely be getting these next time. This is proving to be a go to place for us when we are in Jersey Shore read more

Can I give less stars. The food was lousy and cost an arm and a leg for one person to eat breakfast. $18.13 that's before leaving a tip. The meal I ordered cost 8.75 I upgraded to sausage and got orange juice and coffee. The OJ came in a toddler size cup and the egg was rubbery. Today I went to breakfast at a dinner about a mile down the road called Janeys. Got double the food and fed myself my husband and my child for $22.40. The 2 orange juices we ordered came in adult size glasses! I will never eat at the shore dinner again. read more

After bike riding the 61 mile Pine Creek Rail Trail we were hungry and decided to google a few places and take our chances. Not being from the area we took a leap of faith and ordered a couple chicken cheesesteak subs with fries. The subs were huge and made perfect. I didn't think I could eat all of the sub but after my first bite I devoured the whole thing. It truly had great taste and did not disappoint.
