We have coming here for awhile now before Yelp Shore nursery is small nursery and I always did love unique plants here. My cousin and us we like San Clemente and this nursery here. This time I bought a few things potting mix for my Orchids and a plant called Lewisia it's beautiful succulent plant for only $6.99 for friend of mine We took our niece she just moved so she has a patio and love the fuchsia plants that was good price too It's a double flower Mark help us he was great we been look for a Chinese lantern But orange red and he said he'd give us a call. Came by to pick up a houseplant for a friend, and I had such a great experience! The gentleman behind the counter was super nice and helpful. He planted the little tree in the pot for me, added decorative rocks, and even packaged it beautifully in a little box with tissue paper. Stopped by this nursery on a whim as I was driving down a side street in San Clemente. I was amazed at the variety and quality of the plants on display. I spoke with Wyatt, and he gave me all kinds of suggestions on my garden, why my lavender wouldn't grow and what would go great with it. I bought some butterfly bushes and some daisies, the prices were very reasonable. I felt I could actually grow these in my garden with success. And if not, Wyatt offered to help me figure out what I had done wrong. I highly recommend this nursery! read more

Quinn and crew are absolutely superb and run a true gem of a nursery. It's one of those local "little guy" businesses right here in town you'll love to support. Wyatt and Marc are suuuper helpful, too. Marc delivered 35 soil amendment bags and a bunch of flowers to our house and was incredibly personable and accommodating; stacking it all in several places on the property for us. He exemplifies the "young kid" who, literally, gives you hope for humanity. Get them a cold drink, a snack, and a healthy tip ~ they deserve it! read more

My daughter, sister and I happen to fall upon this garden shop while searching for a parking spot. What a cute find too! It's a bit bigger than it appeared from the street. Inside the main store you will find the fertilizer's and such along with some indoor plants, beautiful ones too. There is a door that will lead you outdoors where you will be surrounded by beautiful arrangements and potted plants and flowers. You will find them hanging on the walls, placed on the shelves, and on the ground. During our visit there were three employees that were checking on you asking if we had any questions. They were very friendly, knowledgable and very helpful. An example of helpful, instead of pointing in a direction where a plant you asked about, they walked you to it and if it wasn't there, they continued to look for it until it was located. You will find and array of succulents and others plants you may or may not find in your local garden store. I noticed more plants that I didn't find in my home and garden store. I did find the prices on some familiar plants to be more than what I am used to seeing. But, this may be expected considering the location of the spot. The plants are well taken care of as well as the grounds. While we were there, all three employees were caring for the plants. I did purchase a succulent and a clay pot with the base which I thought to be a reasonable price. And, what a nice surprise when I checked-in, a free 2 inch succulent! So don't forget to check-in. There are places to walk to and enjoy a bite before or after stopping at Shore Gardens. I know I would come back here to take a peek and even make another purchase. I know I could say the same for my sister and daughter. Thank you guys for making our visit to the Shore Gardens a pleasant one. read more

I have been wanting to visit this nursery for a while now and I am so glad I got the chance to. It is a very quaint and beautiful one, excellent customer service and very relaxing to walk through and choose your plants. The staff, if I am not mistaken his name is Wyatt, was so knowledgeable and helpful, from helping me choose pots for the plants I chose to bringing out all my purchases to my parked car. He even wrote down all the names of the plants I purchased and gave me tips on how to care for each one when I asked. All the plants looked very healthy and well taken care of, beautiful wide variety to choose from, both for plants and pottery. So last couple of weekends I've been really blowing my wad at this place because it's so awesome. They have a really lovely selection of plants that makes me ashamed I ever bought those carcasses which used to be philodendrons from Home Depot. And if you're looking for stag horn ferns, this place has alpha stags like cray. In any case, I worked with Ryan (I think is his name) who must be the plant whisperer. He was super knowledgeable and really played a pivotal role in executing my vision. He coached me on my watering technique and provided a SWAT-esque analysis on the real estate options these plants had available to them. We needed part of our front yard redone so we went to Shore Gardens in search of plants. We were a little overwhelmed but Quinn helped us know what plants to plant in our sunny space and designed a rough draft for my husband to follow. Also recommended the best way to amend the soil so the plants will succeed. He showed us pictures of what flowers each plant will have and what they attract like butterflies, bees and humming birds. I have bought my Christmas trees here for many years and have always been happy. This year I added a fresh 6' garland for my indoors. This lasted 8 days before it was crispy and unusable. I tried to return it but the guy upfront waved me away saying he does not guarantee the garland. He also used the Santa Ana wind conditions as justification. Yes, we are having the conditions, minus the constant high winds. But 8 days? Come on. If your product is only going to last a week I would expect to be told before purchase it may not last long and there are no refunds if it becomes unusable quickly, or some tips on keeping it longer. This is why I chose a Nursery over a big box store. If I had been told these things, I would of chose to not buy it at all. I will not be returning to Shore Gardens for any reason. read more
