We had family visiting down the shore and wanted an easy, different dine at home experience. After…read moredriving by Topsail one day I checked them out on Yelp and decided to give them a try. What a great decision! On their website I decided to order the Wrighstville, which was a combination appealing to me and our guests. The portion says 5-6 people: we had four adults two teenagers so to be cautious I added an extra pound of shrimp. It was a perfect amount of food. I opted for pickup and it was ready at my arrival time. Some instructions given verbally, accompanied by a cooking instructions card. I got home, fired up the electric stove and within 50 minutes we were eating a delicious, perfectly cooked meal. I will definitely do this again with Topsail, like once a summer. This is not inexpensive. It is a splurge. I could prep it all myself but it would be complicated, time consuming and I'm unsure I would get the items to all come out cooked correctly. So I recommend this steamer experience at least once for a unique, dine at home dinner.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with your steamer pot. My son was in from Denver…read moreColorado with his wife, and my daughter and her family were visiting as well and they all love seafood. We planned a big family seafood fest with The Miss Emily II High Tider. I paid over $250 for this steamer pot. I listened to the directions given by the girl who waited on me at the store, and even joked that I was glad the instructions were written down. I followed the directions to a tee, even allowing 4 extra minutes for the shrimp and lobster. I drained it and poured it onto the table for dinner. Well it was pretty much a fiasco. Most of the shrimp were not cooked, so I had to gather them all up and cook them longer. The potatoes for the most part were hard and not cooked, so I had to remove those and cook them again. The sausage was pink inside, so that needed to be re-cooked. And lastly, the lobster tails were so rubbery that we could not eat them. So instead of enjoying a nice seafood dinner, my time was spent jumping up and down from the table re-cooking the uncooked food! We were all very disappointed because we had been very much looking forward to this family dinner. I wish them much success, but I don't think that we will be back and unfortunately, I don't think that I would recommend their business to my friends. (I reached out to customer service via email twice to express my concerns and received no reply!)
