For takeout this satisfied my expectations! If this spot was closer to my home, I'd be a frequent customer known by name! I thoroughly enjoyed everything. Found this place on Yelp and because it was close to our hotel.. we decided to check it out. Cute little place.. service was friendly and fast.. nice touch that they brought our food out to our car. 2018. 3 visits All with at least 2 to 3 people with me. All visits this year we've been seated promptly and waited on with friendliness and accuracy. You have to realize this is basically a fish store that has a dining area and they do a ton of take out to the local motels. So for us to come and sit and dine in is a big deal. No need to dress up. Not a fussy place Their specials are always very nicely portioned and reasonably priced. When you make a purchase from the counter it's always a timely transaction. We had the broiled sampler - 2 shrimp, 2 scallops, a lobster tail and a piece of fish. Super bland. Thank goodness for some lemon. Everything except the fish was over cooked (dry and tough). We also got a crab cake and NE clam chowder. The crab cake and soup were pleasant. The main dish came w a healthy portion of pre frozen fries and a surprisingly tasty cole slaw. Their frying skills are so good, I ordered an additional entree of fried chicken and fried onion rings. Used to be our favorite shore place. Now it's just take- out only forever . No more indoor seating. As it was our first time that we couldn't be seated in a nice cool room, we waited 25 mins for 2 crab cakes which were not hot when we got back to the motel room and they didn't put plastic forks or napkins in the bag. The employees are not so nice but the food is great! Last year we walked out because of the attitude of the girl who greeted us (teen). This year an adult male had something to say under his breath to a teen and we almost left again. We stayed however and everyone's meals were delish. Had a great meal with fish factory! I ordered Lobster Bisque and a Fried Butterfly Shrimp platter (with cole slaw and corn). The Lobster Bisque was fine, not the best I've had on the island. I got a fried flounder sandwich. The crab cakes were as good as the fancy and expensive Cape May restaurants but without overpowering sauce which leads me to believe they're better here. The food was good here. Service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and order was provided correctly. They have pepsi products on the fountain and that is my favorite. I had raw oysters and ooh thdy were good with the hot sauce. Served over ice in a tray. Nothing fancy and to be honest, who cares. They were fresh. Then onto the dungeness crab. Yum. Had it steamed with Old Bay seasoning on them. My beautiful wife had fried cod and fries. Cooked perfectly for her, served with tartar sauce. I will definitely go back. Thrir dining area is small and dated. I don't care about that stuff. The food was excellent. If the dining area is full, just get your order to go. All orders are cooked when you place it. The steamers in garlic and olive oil was delicious and fresh!!! The Alaskan King crab legs were very fresh and tastey. One pound is $24 but that is pretty standard pricing. The jumbo fried shrimp was good also but I thought it was pricey. 7 pieces was $17 ! The linguini and shrimp in white sauce had a tasty delicate flavor and it was a medium size portion of food. There were refills on the soft drinks. I got the lemonade and it was sweet and delicious. Overall this place was very very good and I would eat there again. The order was ready a few minutes early, but still hot when we arrived, all the items were correct, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious with a good portion size for the price. My husband had the jumbo shrimp and shrimp cocktail and enjoyed both very much. I actually don't eat seafood (always a challenge since it is my hubby's favorite) so I got the fried chicken. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was! The coati was so crispy and well seasoned, and the chicken itself was incredibly juicy! The corn on the cob I got on the side was crisp and fresh, too. The only thing we did not enjoy was the coleslaw; the cabbage is very finely chopped which gives it an odd texture. Overall, though, it was a great experience and they will become a new regular place for us on our vacations down here. read more
